Petra, a houndoom with trust issues with other pokemon, had just been adopted by her trainer. She didn't think it would last long when he would find out what he was getting himself into. Petra didn't get along well with other pokemon, because of her first trainer didn't let her be around others. It was not that she was scared of them, but she would get protective of her food, along with anything she thought to be hers. Right now, she was laying down in her new trainer's home. She smelled another pokemon but wasn't interested in finding out where it was in the house. She didn't know it was a baby pokemon at the time. All she knew was that this pokemon better watch themselves around her. Then Petra got up, and started sniffing around the house curious as to why the pokemon had yet to show themselves. Being a houndoom. she was a canine and had a remarkable sense of smell.

As she sniffed around the house, she came to a room where the scent seemed to be coming from. She noticed that the door was closed, and used her paws to open the bottom half of the door. It opened, but there as a gate in the way. Inside, she noticed a bunch of baby pokemon stuff and titled her head. She then noticed something in the corner of her eye and looked to see a baby pokemon huddling in the corner looking at her with scared eyes. She laid down on the floor and wagged her tail hoping that their trainer wouldn't try to stop her from trying to comfort the little one.

Petra smiled and said "You have nothing to be sorry for little one. I'm sorry I scared you though. I was only following your scent. I didn't think to find you in that room." in a soft voice so she wouldn't scare him again. She's never really had any friends before but was willing to at least try. Though it was hard at times since all of her life, others were afraid of her, she never gave up trying.
