xxxx • Appearance : Taizen is a tall and muscular man making him well suited to be an archer as well as a quincy. He is older than most of the soldiers in the sereitei and although his face is weathered his body is quite tone and alluring to most. Taizen has tan skin and silver spiked hair that goes back away from his face never obscuring vision. His hair doesn't appear to be of an older mans white would suggest he just has an odd color of hair his whole life. This is accompanied by a small amount of grey stubble which would resemble a beard if it were longer. His eyes are a very light brown but oddly have a dull gaze about them even with such a light color. His face has three scars all in a line the first just above the left eye and going down the cheek, the second across the left eye starting on the forehead and ending just at the top of the left cheek bone and the third going across the bridge of his nose. This scars is obvious a claw mark from something. Besides that Taizens complexion is immaculate to follow in suit with his bodies condition being in peak physical condition considering his likely older age. His attire is from the world of the living and it was part of the deal that he get to wear it even if it was unorthodox. It consists of a black scarf, a quiver of arrows slung over his shoulder a jacket that has an odd symbol on the shoulder alluding to Taizens work as a mercenary back on earth. Taizen wears no shirt under the jacket. A belt with various pouches and even a radio attached to it that is more of a momento than functional. His pants are black military grade pants with boots that have spurs at the bottom for what purpose no one has ever found out.
xxxx • Personality : Taizen is cold calculating and callous. He is hardened warrior and has killed about every type of animal including humans and now has his sight set on hollows. He does not speak often but if provoked he can be quite rude his words having a sharp and witty tone to them indicating that his killer instinct and savage battle tactics are supported by at least a decent level of intellect. Some whisper that Taizen can be warm and even friendly but few speak of it and even fewer claim to say they have seen it. He does not seem to have a temper but will happily assert himself as the biggest and baddest person in the room if necessary. This does not mean Taizen lacks respect, and is actually the opposite. With his extensive military career Taizen appreciates ranks and often will respect those who earn it and this is often the greatest level of kindness he displays.
Taizens aloof nature has attracted quite a bit of females but Taizen has never pursued any and in his mind doubts he will ever find another that can make him happy, or smile the way he used to. Taizen was not always this way and deep beneath himself buried under the layers of disgust and hate lies a soft tender side of him that is not nearly so gruff. Though Taizen has forgotten that side of himself long ago and it would take considerable time and effort to raise it from the grave.
xxxx • Biography : Taizen was birthed by two rather powerful quincies, he was given his name because when he was born he did not wail or make a sound but instead look up at his parents with wonder and a certain calmness that should have been beyond his years. This trait followed Taizen throughout his childhood. He was an odd child rarely crying or throwing fits even as an infant he did not cry but merely make soft coos or other baby like sounds when he was hungry or needed a diaper change.
Taizen was exceptionally bright, not a genius but among the top of his class from a very young age. It was because of this abnormal serenity and exceptional intellect that he was made aware by his parents of his quincy powers at the young age of five. His demeanor at that age was more of what you'd expect of a diligent teenager and due to it he was given permission to begin training. He continued to train much of his childhood excelling in school being above average but again not a genius. Though during training his calm mind and focus seemed to allow him to master quincy powers at a rather frightening rate. His parents were so proud of him and a young girl next door isabelle who was also a quincy would often come and watch him. She was the only one who could get him to act his age and often would distract him from training by playing with him or having him play with her.
As the years went on Taizen and Isabelle's relationship deepened. Taizen continued his training but not nearly to the degree he had begun with and his school work progressed as well but Isabelle was always the focus of his life. He trained morely to be able to protect her and not to ascend the ranks like his father had dreamed he would when he was a child. Taizen was content with having a woman to love and the deeper he fell in love with her the less power mattered to him. Still Taizen needed to make money and he had been given a cross at a very young age with he so aptly named Isabelle as a sign of his affection for her. When the two were in their early 20s Taizen enrolled in the military telling Isabelle that since he was an exceptionally strong quincy for his age he would not fall in battle and the two would be able to see the world together traveling from army base to army base doing work. Isabelle reluctantly agreed wishing her lover would choose something less dangerous but Taizens confidence seemingly reassured her.
Taizen fit into the military like a glove. His focus and talent for aiming things lead them to make him a sniper. Taizen agreed but only if he could use a bow. His fellow snipers and instructors laughed at him but Taizen had used his first release so much that when it manifested it did not appear ethereally but as a normal bow would so that he could use it without raising suspicion. Taizen used regular arrows but when fire from that bow they had a lethality about them that a normal human could not comprehend. After a great many demonstrations Taizen was allowed to use it and excelled in the rest of sniper school being the only one not to use a firearm. He was light hearted and playful with his comrades being the ray of sunshine that seemed to make everyone laugh while simultaneously setting records left and right that seemed to make everyone else respectful and envious of his ability.
By the time Taizen was 25 he graduated from sniper school and was allowed to go any US base in the world his marksmanship unparalleled. Taizen that night proposed to Isabelle and told her to pick anywhere in the world and they would get a house there. She said yes and the two moved to colorado Isabelle loving the snow. Taizen and his wife lived happily for what seemed like an eternity. In reality it had just been six months since they moved, but within those six months the two had gotten married moved and were expecting twins a boy and a girl. Taizens mood was at its peak and with it his marksmanship as he now was now an instructor on the base teaching marksmanship to all soldiers on base.
Taizen unfortunately did not realize using his release so much would attract supernatural enemies. One night just weeks before Isabelle was due Taizen was on base watching as the ground suddenly shook. He looked around and saw it, a massive hollow over two stories tall tearing into what looked like his house. None of the soldiers on duty could see it, they could only see the smoke in the air from his house being torn into. Taizen ducked into cover and sped off using his quincy powers skidding to a stop before his home and seeing the hulking beast before him digging around in his house a scream piercing the air, Taizen know it was Isabelle.
His eyes widened as he drew and let his arrows fly each one drilling into the beast and causing it harm but for some reason it was not deterred. He screamed at the monster while screaming at his wife telling her to run but it was too late. When the beast reared it's head out from the home Taizen could see the limp, mangled, and blood stained body of his wife between the beasts jaws. He let out a contemptuous cry and drew his bow unleashing his most powerful technique at the current stage he had attained a stream of arrows erupting out of his bow piercing the beast and tearing it to shreds. He dispelled his bow and dashed off catching his wives body as she fell and looking upon her with a blurred teary gaze.
He was too weak, the hollow had killed her and his unborn children in one foul swoop, it being attracted to the surges in reishi from Taizen, he knew it must have honed in on them because there were three full blooded quincy in a single body a meal to tantalizing to resist and Taizen had be oblivious to is all along. He gentle moved a strand of hair from her face tears streaming down his own as he felt her final heart beats feeling the life fade from her with the slowing of the thumps. By the time other people had arrived Taizen was kneeling in a sullen state simply crying while holding his wife to his chest mumbling incoherently, begging for her to be returned. It was no use she had died.
The next few weeks Taizen spent mourning his wife lying around in a new empty house it being a pit of despair for him to wallow in. After the depression came anger, Taizen requested transfer to the thickest of combat situations and request to join the elite core of snipers sent out on single teams for assassinations. He was granted his request and went on a killing spree for nearly four year. He hunted every type of prey, from all sorts of animals to all types of man killing without reason or care taking the slip of paper and executing his mission to the letter. What remained of the happen husband was nothing but a husk of a man filled with loss and sorrow.
By the time he was 29 Taizen had set a record for the most confirmed kills out of any sniper and being the only one to use arrows each time a kill was made he needed no confirmation as the buzz from it would always reach his employers. He had grown bored of hunting man and desired to now hunt something more dangerous. He left the army not accepting any of the medals he was offered and instead just began emitting as much reiatsu as he could to lure in hollow hoping he would begin a spree.
What he found instead was a shinigami a woman who offered him the chance to hunt hollows for a living. Taizen having nothing on earth to keep him there accepted the offer and left for the sereitei. Upon arrival he decided upon squadron 13. Knowing that being in the guardian corps he would be assigned to missions where attack was almost certain giving him the highest probability of being able to kill a hollow. This interested Taizen beyond anything else and he has just been accepted ready to begin his new chapter and ready to begin hunting what will hopefully be the ultimate game.

Guardian's Shield allows the user to block opponents incoming offensive spells such as a Hado spell or a Cero. The user creates a large shield of pure reiatsu to block the attack. They can either create the shield around themselves, or a near by ally. The shield is put out directly in front of the caster when they speak the words "Guardian's Shield!" it cannot defend against area of effect spells or block attacks made from the Zanpakuto. This includes any Zanpakuto technique, kido based or otherwise.
This Shield only works against offensive Kido spells, the most effected would be by that extension, Hado. However some Bakudo, primarily those which are non-touch ranged versions would be effected, for example the Bakudo Spell #16 "Metal Thread" would be, whilst something such as Bakudo Spell #8 "Strike" would not be.
While normal Cero is effected, any form of advanced Cero would be to powerful for the shield to block it out completely, thus it would only lessen the damage, not block it outright.
The shield is instantaneous, thus it could be used, and is meant to be used as, a reaction, and it will only last for the post it is cast in. It is summoned, it blocks a spell or cero, it breaks and vanishes.

xxxx • Passive Ability: There is no real passive ability for this other than the bow itself taking on a very solid form. This is not typical for a Buhne Ein release but Taizen has used this release so much that his weapon has solidified into a solid form giving it the appearance of a Buhne Zwei when it is just the first release. This merely makes his attacks stronger and faster than they normally would be for this release.

xxxx • Lethal Tip - By focusing his own reishi into standard arrows Taizen is able to make them lethal to beings of the other realm (Hollows/ Shinigami etc.) By firing them from his Buhne - Eine bow Taizen is able to have the arrows achieve extremely high speeds making so they are viable for combat against foes who can travel at above human speed. Taizen normally carries about fifteen arrows in her quiver.
xxxx • Explosive Tip - Taizen will draw back his bow and form a soul arrow focusing an abnormal amount of Reishi into the tip of the soul arrow. When fired whatever the tip comes in contact with will activate the stored reishi releasing a potent explosion capable of doing significant damage to those at Taizens rank. This is both heat and concussive damage.
xxxx • Can't Miss - Taizen will draw back his bow and charge up what appears to be an abnormally large spirit arrow upon releasing it the arrow will split into dozens of normal sized spirit arrows (In roughly a two meter circle from the point of bow) capable of shredding through flesh and weaker defenses. This move is most effective in shorter range making it more difficult to dodge.
