❝Life and It's Complications...❞

"The two of us were friends since Elementary school. We knew just about everything about each other, told each other everything...We were practically sister's. During our early years in middle school a boy transferred in and we befriended him. I know how cliche this might sound, but the two of us ended up infatuated with him. I never told anyone about it though...It was one of my secrets. Because I didn't have the courage to tell him nor her. In the end, him and her started dating. I gave up my feelings and tried to be happy for them. Now we're in high school, my two best friends still happily together...Oh and I should probably add, that my friend (Aka: former crush) is now my step-brother...F*ck life and it's complications."
Rules: Hi, well I'll make this simple. It's been a while since I last roleplayed so I'm a bit rusty. I'd like to have someone who is active, semi-lit and creative. You might be wondering what I mean by creative, so I'll clarify I want people who come up with ideas to make the story more interesting and fun. I don't want someone who will just go with the flow. Cause to be honest I don't know what I'm trying to come up with half of the time, so it'd be nice to have help.
Roles:
Best Friend: A female, who has been friends since elementary school. Is a bit more vocal and honest than other girl.(TAKEN)
Bf/Friend/Step-Brother: An all around great guy.(TAKEN)

Bio: Once a upon a time, a beautiful couple brought to the world a child with icy eyes and a potential to become something great. This child was Joel Rolando, son to a successful businessman and his lovely wife, a pianist. In the beginning of his life, he was small and fragile. He was seen as a weak child to begin with supported with his lack abilities and strength to walk. It took awhile until he could finally take his own steps. In school, he was a quiet child, taking no interest in academics nor sports. He failed in almost all his classes. His parents nagged him and were concern with their son, wondering a possibility they wish they haven't realize sooner. They assumed their child were special and handicap. It was one day when everyone were proven wrong for god had a special seat for this child. His mother left him home with her best friend, a colleague of hers, to babysit Joel while she was away on a honeymoon with her husband. On that night, Joel was unable to sleep, frighten by the dark which consume his whole room as if monsters are hidden there. To relieve this poor child, the mom's friend decide to play soothing song on the piano. It was then when Joel approached her, getting up on the small stool and began playing the same song with its little fingers. She asked Joel how he did that and Joel responded back with an odd smile. He heard it from sound. From that moment, a legend was born. Joel's mother finally came home and in an instant her friend would rush to her with exciting news, explaining to her the gift that lays inside the little child. Her mom agreed and decide to pass down her own skills to her son to continue her legacy in the world of musicians. Each night, each day, he worked hard nonstop. The sweat did not bother him, the criticism did not hurt him. His mother sent him to a tournament to compete to see his son's progress. He came back home with a golden trophy winning first place. He is the youngest boy to ever win the International Chopin Tournament. He continued on through hardships, receiving first place awards each time he attended a tournament. Life was great for the successful family until that one dark day. When there is happiness, there is always disdain on the other side awaiting. His father was sick with cancer and died. Ever since that day, Joel gave up on the piano for it only brought pain. He could no longer see the worth in it. He loss his ability to hear his own sound. Five years passed and he is already now in his sophomore year of high school. He lived halfway, burden by a curse to not hear his own sound. His true intention. Everything seemed black and white since everything is what it is. Like a picture of a monochrome. However, with his two best friends by his side, he continues on, putting on an optimistic face. Personality: Joel is a very curious man; taking interest in the smallest of things; he will wander into any place to explore it regardless of the dangers that lurk around every corner. He loves to find and share things that shine and sparkle in the sun. He takes joy in the slightest of things. Though even with his adolescent behavior, Joel can almost instantly snap into a very serious and strong man. Joel does become frightened very easily by people who intend to harm him; he will put up a brave front and will always try to protect the people he loves. Although he isn't much of a fighter, he believes arguing won't solve an issue. As a profound pianist, a prodigy since birth, he sees the world differently. The world is colorful rather than a monochrome tone where everything isn't what it really is. He changed and became the man he wanted to be for the sake of one person. A beautiful particular female turned his whole life around. She was the source of his transformation. Because of her, he had purpose, because of her he had ambition to do greatness. Eventually, someday there are times when one's heart have to stand up and stop leaning towards someone. His father died from cancer. From his death, he realized no matter where he was going, may the waters be uncharted, he had to believe that stars were shining down at him. He can't give up after all, he was still on a journey. Regardless of the pain that dwells down his scarred heart, it was his duty as a man to move on with life. Whenever he's in pain, he puts of an optimistic act to prevent others from being concern with his life. Although they don't give their children as much attention as other parents, both of them have always wanted Leighton to be their special, little girl and used to dress her up in gowns and skirts when she was younger and took pictures to gush over in the future. They love her and her brother endlessly and take whatever chances they can get to show it. Her parents had a cliche romance as high-school sweethearts and were naturally romantics at heart. Being raised by them, Leighton is quite the romantic as well. She was overjoyed to meet a certain boy during middle school, who would later became her boyfriend, and it felt as if there was a missing piece of her that had finally been filled. Her life has remained constant, as she likes it, and positive throughout high school so far and she plans to keep it that way. Now in her junior year, she's looking forward to new opportunities as an upperclassman and is getting started on mapping out her future. Personality: Amiable and honest, Leighton maintains an optimistic and kind persona. She is outspoken, but thoughtful and likes to keep an open mind. Generally a patient person, she has a sweet temper and is difficult to anger or upset. Her indecisiveness and gullibility can make her seem a bit air-headed from time to time. While she isn't the brightest crayon in the box in terms of common sense, she has a good sense of what's right and what's wrong, does especially well academically, and likes to live by the rules. Even so, she isn't the least bit uptight and likes to joke around, often laughing and smiling along with her friends. A terrible liar, Leighton is rare to say anything but the truth and doesn't enjoy keeping secrets. She also works and cooperates well with others and can be quite the social butterfly. Joel Rolando, a calm random pedestrian, sauntered down some sidewalk with a hardcover back book, Red Chief, on one hand and a bag of groceries on the other. Every now and then, checking above then back to the passage to assure himself he was heading the right away and to avoid into bumping anyone. Each step he took, the sun's light would shine above him, providing him the warmth of a new day, a new start of life. "Its dark and yet it's so bright..." His voice came out as a vulnerable whisper.
The bright light of the day cascaded in hampered waves from the water streaming down the sidewalk falling into the dark depths of the sewer, abated by the brightness of the sun and its ever-shifting reflection in the glistening waters lying there. The sound of waves and icy wind was audible even over the cacophony of thunderous humanity, the menagerie of individuals creating their own peculiar noise which merely added to the symphony of day. It was soothing and acted as a remedy to the man's ears. Within the light, the sense happiness are alive and so the day continues on like fast movies. Green leaves turning brown while birds fly in the sky to retreat winter. The world was truly a splendid place to be, even if there was darkness waning behind every flickering flame of hope. "The season... might be about to change..." He pointed out as a self note.
He continued walking down the narrow sidewalk and obliviously shifted to the left surrounded by waste and trash from both sides only to turn to be disgust by the sudden nauseous odor that would burned his nostrils without hesitation. He halt, then quickly covered his mouth while his his pupils darkened for he found himself ending up in a dark alley. It was moments ago when he recalled slowly strolling on the sidewalk. How did he ended up here? His eyes flickered over to the book, clenching his grip upon it tightly as if he was about to squeeze the life out it, though in reality, he didn't acquire such strength. A lost star he truly was. Voices filled up the air and so, Joel decided to use it as his own saving grace that will hopefully lead him to the exit. "Please don't get me into trouble, Jesus..."
Following down the path with faith in his heart, he came upon what appeared to be a local store which in fact was nearby his house. As may see, Joel is returning home with food he just bought from the farmer's market. A routine he usually follows after surfing in the early morning. A energetic child has to spend time the greatness of its youth after all they are still young. In addition, Joel is a morning person! Within the bag he was holding there was three sandwiches that he bought. One for himself, the other for Nora and lastly, Leigh. What a kind kid he truly is. "Hopefully the girls like them." He mumbled as he quickly made his way back home.
Upon reaching his destination, he approached the front door, inserting a bronze key to unlock it and entered in only to notice Nora at the kitchen. He closed the door behind him before he ever continued on. " Good morning. Nora, check what I got us." He softly shouted, hoping to grab her attention as he walked over to the kitchen. Eventually Leigh will make her way here to their house. They always go to school together.
「Oᴜᴛ Oғ Cʀᴏᴡs」 Hi! Since Nora and Joel are step siblings, I'm assuming they are living together. By the way, I know the post is quite descriptive and long, but I just wanted to introduce the background and introduction of the story, kinda...!!

Just like every other day, Leighton began her morning sitting in front of a journal. With a cup of hot tea in one hand and a ballpoint pen in the other, she wrote out her thoughts on last night's dreams and her goals for the day. Though the vision was vague, she could remember dreaming of a debate tournament, one in which she won. It was a good, normal dream. There was nothing out of the ordinary and nothing was out of place, just as it should be. Just as she liked it.
Glancing toward the clock at the corner of her desk, she decided it was time to head out to Nora and Joel's house. Careful not to bend any pages, Leighton shut her journal and stood up to made her way through her house and down the staircase. The girl had already gone through her daily morning routine and was ready to go. She set her empty mug in the sink for one of the maids to wash later and grabbed a jacket hanging over the back of one of the dining chairs. Shrugging the warm material on, she wrapped her signature red scarf around her neck and exited the mansion. There was no need to say goodbye to anyone. Both of Leighton's parents were already at work, Hudson was probably still asleep, and Leighton could text the nanny once she arrived at school. As it always had been, the house was quiet as she closed the door behind her.
Hopping onto her bike, Leighton pedaled on toward her best friends' house. Normally her parents would request that a chauffeur take her, but Leighton was against it. Nora and Joel didn't live too far from where she resided, so it was a short trip and would be a waste of gas. After a little over five minutes of biking at a pace that was just a little above average, she arrived at her destination. Leaving her bike in the grass, Leighton slung her backpack over her shoulder and jogged up to the front door. She rapped on the door with her knuckles three times and stood back on her heels for someone to open the door. Her nose and cheeks were red from the icy wind, but there was a smile on her face nonetheless.

❀ 𝑵𝒐𝒓𝒂 𝑽𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒆 ❀❦ Secrets ❦ ❝ ❥ I don't get human emotions. They're complicated, and too unpredictable ❞ ●●● ☆═━-Nora looked around the kitchen trying to find something to eat. Not seeing anything that seemed appetizing to her, she took a seat at the kitchen table. She put on one earphone and listened to music as she waited for Joel and Leighton to show up to go to school. Upon hearing the front door opening, she assumed it was just Joel coming back from his usual morning walk. Which she could never understand how anyone can be such a cheery, morning person. Nora glanced at Joel and a simply,"Morning." Still sounding tired and not fully awake. She got up from her chair to see what he had in the bag."What did you get?" WIthout really waiting a reply, she slipped her hand in the bag and took one of it's contents. Which was of course, a sandwich. She began eating it and it wasn't too long for her to finish it before someone came knocking on the door."I got it!" Nora said after finishing the last bite of the sandwich. She quickly went over to the front door and opened it to see Leighton."Speaking of morning people..."She thought."Good morning!~"Sounding a bit more energized than earlier, not sure whether it was from a fully stomach or just simply seeing Leighton's usual cheerful smile."Joel, Leigh's here!"Nora yelled over her shoulder, then turned back to her friend."I'll be right back, I left my bag in my room." Nora said, before dashing upstairs to grab her things. ┈━═☆ ❝ ❥ What's the point of them? ❞(Out.Of.Courage smile

The tired female stumble her way over to the bag and before he ever gotten the chance to answer back, Nora would just go in and dig her hand into the bag, taking her sandwich out of it. He grabbed a seat across from her as he watched her finish up her breakfast. Ears twitched the sound coming from the front door and in an instant, Nora, hastily rushed her way over there, slowly opening the door as she yelled out it was Leigh. Joel arose from his chair, gripping onto the plastic bag that contained two more sandwiches left before he head out there to greet his presence to his lovely best friend. Walking there while the thuds of his shoes followed, a small wind enter through the door, brushing through his silky blonde hair. The first thing he ever notice once he was at the door was Leigh's gorgeous hair dancing along with the similar wind that had just blew by.
The aroma of her sweet perfume welcomed itself up to his nostrils, consuming his thoughts into a never ending bliss. From his monochrome view, she was full of colors, so bright and radiant than the sun itself. He could never get enough of her after all she was source of his light, his energy. Offering Leigh so much love and kindness, his lips stretching reveal his pristine, trademark smile. He spoke, his voice sweet like smile. "Good morning Leigh. You like nice today." His smile still remained on his face without falter. With that said, he pulled out a sandwich from the bag and gently handed it directly to her petite hands. "Here, I got you something. I figured you didn't eat breakfast so I figured I go buy us some sandwiches." He scratched the side of his head, steely orange tango eyes shifting its sight down to the ground during that moment.
Under the gray fluffy clouds where a couple stands upon the twisted land, regardless of what the future may bring them, let them always meet each other with a smile for every smile is a new beginning of love. He awaited there quietly for Nora to get down here prepared for school.

Upon hearing someone approach the door from the other side, Leighton's grin widened. She never got tired of seeing her best friends every day, and today was was no different from the rest. After a moment, the door opened and Nora appeared, greeting her with an energetic, "Good Morning!" before calling to Joel of her arrival.
"Morning, Nora!" Leighton replied cheerfully, leaning forward to wrap her arms around the other girl for a quick hug. Once she pulled away, Nora announced that she had left her bag in her room and quickly dashed up the stairs to get her bag. Letting out a light laugh at Nora's actions, Leighton stepped into the house looked toward Joel, who had made his way over once he heard her name.
He looked as handsome as ever, his soft blonde hair blowing back from the wind coming through the door. There was an even smile on his face to match Leighton's, and he immediately greeted her with a compliment and food. Everything about him was absolutely perfect.
"Awh, Joel. You're such a gentleman! And oooh~ A sandwich! Thanks so much! You always know what I need." Holding the sandwich in one hand, Leighton stood on her toes to throw her arms over her boyfriend's shoulders and pressed her lips to the corner of his mouth. Stepping back, she promptly took a bite of her sandwich and smiled up at Joel through a mouthful of food. "This is soo good!" she commented after swallowing. "Are you all ready to go?"
