• Personality:: Aries is a reserved person, she prefers her space and has a thing for being blunt with the things she says. She has a very sarcastic nature and doesn't like it when people ask her stupid question. Aries can be very outgoing when she's around people she's comfortable with, she doesn't mind strangers but prefer they not talk to her if they don't have a specific purpose.
• Biography :: Aries never knew who her birth parents where, she never saw their faces, and never knew their names. She didn't mind not knowing, because for as long as she could remember the shadow dragon was her father, mentor, and friend. The dragon taught her everything it knew, he shared his wisdom with her, and his magic but Aries could always tell there was something he wasn't telling her. But she knew that if it was important he'd tell her someday, she didn't mind waiting.
Aries and her father lived in a cave, on the side of a mountain on the outskirts of the Balsam village. She loved the seclusion there, she adored the peacefulness of living in a cave located in a forest. She's only seen another human once or twice; they would stray away from the path and wander deeper into the forest, into the area that the dragon claimed as his own. Aries never spoke to them though, just watched them from the shadows, listening and hoping to learn something about them. She never did learn anything interesting.
At the age of seven she was allowed to go into town, she was told to observe and learn the ways of a normal human being. Aries was supposed to see how life was in the village, how the people would react to her, and to see if it was a nice to place to be. She didn't ask any questions; to excited about the idea, though also frightened because she's never been to a village before, never seen what an area populated by things other than forest animals could be like. Her father made sure to show her the way, but after that he did not follow.
It was a habit of hers to always stick to the shadows, she felt more comfortable that way, and as she slowly walked through the streets of the Balsam village wearing only her tattered dress people would stop her and ask if she was alright, and if she needed anything. Aries didn't understand why they seemed so worried, she was fine, a little hungry but nothing she couldn't handle. She didn't tell them where she came from, or who her father was, but she did tell them her name and age because she felt like that was the polite thing to do.
She made sure to return home before the sun could fully set, and she told her father everything she learned that day. It was mostly about all the sweets she ate, but it was good enough.
During the seven years that followed she returned to the village, spoke with the people there, learned from them and ate the treats they offered her. Aries still stuck to the shadows, and always returned home before the sun could set completely, but this time when she returned home her father wasn't there. She didn't panic at first, thinking he only went out to hunt, so she went to the back of the cave and decided to wait with a book she had found while she was out. Aries waited all night, and when he didn't return she decided go out and look for him in his usual places.
She searched by the old oak tree that bent at an odd angle, she had learned earlier that year that trees grew in the direction of the sunlight, she hated that tree. Then, checked the center of the forest, she didn't know why he liked it there. Lastly she looked down by the creek that ran through the forest, and she couldn't find him anywhere. Aries began to panic and ran back to the village to see if anyone had seen anything strange tonight, because she couldn't just ask them straight out if they had seen a dragon passing through. No one had seen anything though, so she went back home and decided to wait, there was no way he'd just leave without saying anything.
Aries waited for him for days before it became clear that he wasn't coming back, so she calmed herself, wiped away her tears and gathered up the things she couldn't leave behind; her backpack, one of her fathers scales that she made into a necklace to keep close, and food. There was no point in staying in the cave any longer, her father was no longer there. So at fourteen she set out on her journey, deciding look for him, and ask him why he would leave her without even saying goodbye.
A few months later she was living on the streets, stealing the things she needed, and getting into confrontations with the people she stole from. Each one ending in the other being knocked out by her roar. Aries had no leads on where her father might be, but she had heard about a guild called Raven Tail, she wasn't far from it and decided to go there and ask around. She asked the Guild master if he had seen a dragon on any of his Jobs, he asked her why it matter and she told him everything, and demanded that he answer her directly and not leave any details out. If hadn't seen her dragon but offered her a place in his guild, she didn't know why he offered it to her, but she would be able to make a real name for herself. If people knew her than the word would get around and finding her dragon would become easier.
Aries is now 18, she still hasn't found her dragon, but she now has a place to call home, and no longer has to steal. She still listens out for any news that could relate to her father, but she's not as vigilant in the search as she was four years ago.
