Hi all!
As trans people who often struggle with how the world sees us (particularly for those of us starting out), it's easy to dwell on the negative things. But sometimes things do go right, and the feeling you get then is awesome.
So does anyone have any little victories they care to share?
I have a few such incidences. The first happened quite a long time ago now; back when I was in Air Cadets we used to go to an air field in Bath (UK) to have short flying lessons. One of the instructors there called me 'lad'. I was secretly pleased.
More recently however, I've been called a 'young boy' by two old ladies - I was wearing a padded winter jacket and a hat at the time, which probably helped some. Also, when I greeted a customer in our shop from behind, they turned around and said a little bewildered, "Oh! I was expecting someone much taller with a voice like that!"
So, if nothing else, my voice is getting a bit deeper from what it used to be! Which is good. 3nodding
