I still remember when navigating the guild pages looked like this:  And yet the achievement page doesn't acknowledge me as a guild member.
(and, my, how my little avi has grown up. Awww.)

Wow... That's a good dose of nostalgia there. I miss that!
I miss how Gaia used to look so long ago. Sometimes I wish they'd just throw the site back to that old layout for a special day/week or something, just so that us Oldbies can relive old memories & the newbies can see what it was like on Gaia back then. Having to use the map to navigate, pink links that actually were pink links, how finding a trunk/etc was a BIG deal... (And if you got a Nitemare Headband from one, you were one lucky devil!)
I miss all that. Sometimes I tease myself by looking at a Gaia Wiki, which has screenshots of the home pages from each year. 2005-2006 are special, too, as I remember sneaking online at school & seeing that. xD

there're probably copyright issues involved, but i wonder if we could incorporate part of that old design into our guild banner somehow....

We're non-profit (and part of the site), so they probably wouldn't care. And even if they do care, I can take it down if they care. Would you like to give it a shot? wink

The navigation bars were much simpler back in the day... it made a lot of things much, much easier. At least, I think so.
