The sands of time. The boundary between life and death for which the soul may vanquish every bit of humanity they had left. For the creatures of the desolated and vile anarchic law of the fittest, this was something they would forever be subject to. Days filled with everlasting harmony and preservation of those effusive ideals that no one thing deserved to die more than the other, was void. Atop of the pyramid of emperors that lay dormant inside their catacombs were just a few. Though very small in number, they truly do make up for their titanic power as a unified entity feared in the history of all. No. They were much more grim, ambitious, sinful than just a hollow. They were the Espada.
Years spent in slumber and contemplating the time that death shall once again be feared for those whom lacked the will to embrace their own vices and keep their sanity contained by those deeds of eradicating that very evil that made them whole. They laughed now and went as far as making a mockery out of those demons of hell who yearned for their demise. But the almighty ambition and conquest of the supreme alpha entity of Hueco Mundo, the Primera, would seize the day and bring him a trophy, a thing so precious than all the riches of the world, something that could cripple and destroy a whole civilization, The Soul Queen. Before his fellow court, the Segunda and the Tercera, he had brought a woman so majestic, yet so purifying and judgmental of them all. For a short moment she did comply with their wishes and showed little to no aggression, that was until the cage was set free and once again, hell would break loose.
So close to death, but defying their threats and even challenging them within their own territory, as if she's already claimed their souls and conquered death itself! Oh the humiliation and dreadful tragedy it had become for Hueco Mundo. She had not only beseeched the throne beside the Primera, but be granted their protection and manipulate their method of operation. There was bound to be consequence, one way or another. No one would know what harbored such hatred and vile acts that premeditated the many ways one could die in the eyes of a true arrancar.
In the time of slumber of the great "Soul Mistress's" slumber, there came a slight tapping tapping at thy chamber door. No one answered when a "Come in" called out or a "Who's there" came just after a bit of frustration rose from that voice. The Soul Queen, or rather by this time known as the "Soul Mistress", had expected her so called beloved to answer the door and greet her with an apology for playing such childish antics. But still, even as the door crept open little by little, not a face, shadow, or trace of spirit energy trailed nearby. But just faintly, very faintly and miniscule, had a pressure slowly arise from the window as something with predatory and hellish eyes glared as it finally came breaking through the window. A silhouette was like that of an insidious raging abomination of a beast launching at it's target. While time was pivotal for the Mistress herself to surmount a chant, much less enough energy to propel the invader, whatever it had made its move.
IT had dropped from foresight and circled with a tempest of a shadowing boom, one after another to cross her at each move she made for her weapon. But once it hovered into the air, the assailant had shown from the shadow still as ferocious and aggressive as any man-eater. A strike of a foot had lashed across the dorsal cavity of the head just enough to knock the woman forward and stumble almost to the floor in a daze. The woman tried to face back and blast a bakudo spell to restrain it, but it had shot forward and break into a spinning lunge swiftly drilling the feet onto the spine. Cries were yelled out as the spin went into a heavy roundhouse aimed towards the neck shoulder area. The mistress was being thrashed around like a doll and her assailant was becoming more relentless as time passed The mistress tried her best to put up some sort of defensive spell and hold out against the offensive mounted, but a whipping kick threw her off balance followed by a combination of a slashing blade of sort cutting repeatedly without remorse. Not only that, but that very blade was used to impale the foot and knee as the assailant charged enough power of its flaring hollow energy to pummel down onto the immobile and already hemorrhaging body.
Finally, as the legs were mutilated and punctures were made along arms as if the muscle with the skin had been scourged, the assailant would toss the woman back into the bed and had set the chamber on fire. It wasn't necessarily that the assailant didn't want to finish the job, but they have gotten the message across of anyone who dare try to rule these lands without knowing what they mean. Too bad for this woman. She was bound to be very crippled in her movement and be on the verge of death. She might be able to use some spell to mend the pain and survive until help came, but oh boy it was about to be a sight to see. Death was unforgiving, but today was a lesson learned for this Visored who had dove into the wilderness and into a society in which stood for everything she didn't. There would be possibly war, damnation, uprise, everything that involved the Espada and the seireitei fighting against one another again. But the question would remain who was behind it all? What purpose? What did they have to gain?

The Cero had been watching his city from the cliff, his eyes full of pride and contentment when he saw the smoke furling above into the clouds. Taking no notice of it at first, until he realized that it was far too much smoke for a simple fire to gain warmth from.

He made his way, using his weapon as a means of transport to vault from building to building, body blurring he realized that the smoke was coming from his own chambers: the very chambers he kept his prize within. The Soul King - or Queen rather. Yuzuki Kobayashi whom he had claimed as his own after capturing her in a quick but catastrophic invasion of the soul Society.

Sliding easily into the open window he coughed as flames blazed, ravaging the room his eyes would catch sight of the lady he was going to claim as his own bride, despite her own circumstance on the bed. Covered in blood, lacerated and torn. She was broken, bleeding... and very clearly dying.

His rage erupted from him in the form of a burst of power however his hands were gentle as he picked up his would-be bride, her long lavender scented hair stained crimson from her own blood. The window, now blocked from the blaze, the door barred by fallen debris - or was it carefully placed?

The bleeding woman in his arms reached up and uttered one of her Shinigami spells, and a powerful burst of ice smashed the wall in front of them, making a path for him to carefully escape. And without concern, Kensei barreled through the city, plowing down whoever or whatever stood in his way as he searched for help for the tiny woman in his arms.

A gentle hand would reach up, and touched his face, teddy bear brown eyes dim and glassed over.
"There is nothing... you can do for me here..." the gentle voice, though filled with pain was soothing.
"Then where? Tell me what I must do?" The Cero's voice was agonized, and a small smile told him what he needed to do. Though there were medical facilities in Las Noches... none were so immediate as the power of the healing Zanpakutos of the Seireitei's notorious squad 4 captain. And though his pride screamed, his own desire to keep her for himself flared he knew what he had to do and he carried her away from the city, and he began to open a Garganta that would be the salvation of the woman in his arms.

"No... you can't. They'll... kill you..." the woman pleaded.
"I don't care!"
"Kensei... even if you escape alive. They will never allow someone who so recklessly went to my aid to be their king any more. You must be callous towards me now.. as you must be everyday." Yuzuki's voice was soft, and she smiled.

This man, while her captor had also been kind. He'd listened to her, heard her tales. The change in a cruel creature was always evident, and she could see this pained him. So she reached up, and pulling him down, pulling his lips to hers... a blessing of sort.

She understood the risk. But her goal was the same, the very goal she'd come here with. Though against her will there had always been a reason to stay even while she could have easily taken on half the city and gotten away clean.

And as the Garganta opened, a single tear rolled down the cero's cheek, as he pushed her gently through, his face forlorn and grief stricken.

"Good bye... Yuzuki-hime." The soft whisper almost wasn't heard... And still yet it was.

This turn of events... would forever change the the structure of the worlds... unbeknownst to them all this fate was not even the cruellest yet to come.

It had been 65 days since the Soul King had been taken by the Cero. Over two months, and she'd only contacted them once during her time via the Kido that allowed her to communicate with her minds. It'd been 9 days after the initial kidnapping, and she'd contacted only a few people. Her husband, Youroka Tenshige, and Captain Xerath. These were the only people who knew of her true identity after all. The Soul King had always been shrouded in mystery.
"I'm alive. I'm fine. No harm has come to me. I do not have time to explain, but I have worked out an uneasy arrangement to guarantee no harm has come to me. Please be patient, I am working on a plan that will get me home soon."

And that was the last of it. 54 days of silence... And they were getting impatient. A certain ephemeral blue captain had developed a plan to rescue their strangely silent and absent Soul "King."

Xerath waits impatiently in the courtyard at his castle, where he told everyone to meet so that he could discuss the final points of his attack plan with everyone else

Tokiru Yamura was the first to arrive. Carrying his zanpakuto tucked under his arm at the moment as he walked over to where Xerath was waiting for everyone. As he came to a stop he offered a simple nod of greeting to the other.

Olyna Denygise had come without alerting her old Taicho Ayume, who would have come in an instant, trying to put herself in danger yet again for a purpose that, while important, was bigger than she. Ayume needed to run the hospital now. Olyna could be spared. She looked around in silence, wondering what it was exactly that they were going to do. What could be done? The Soul King needed to be retrieved, obviously, but how?

Seri was one of the last to arrive because she'd been catching up on paperwork in her office. She didn't have many squad members, but she did have things to do and she lost track of time. The overzealous working was her way of coping with stress. When she realized she was late to the meeting to retrieve a fellow captain, she ran as fast as she could, her captain's coat streaming out behind her and her zanpaktu bouncing at her side. When she arrived she skid to a stop. "Hello everyone! I am sorry I am late! How are we doing this?" she said. She looked around at the others and saw that all of the captains were not here yet. So maybe she wasn't actually late!

Auron would come in - just behind Seri - to this meeting. He didn't quite know what it was all about, but he supposed he'd find out shortly enough. Auron himself had paperwork to finalize and finish, he also had to close down the tavern and do all the closing things for there. Things were quiet in Squad 13, he'd gotten a few new faces but not many of them were around terribly often. "Sorry for the delays, I hope I'm not late."

Kage Tanshige stood on top the castle, watching as captains gathered to go into Hueco Mundo. They wanted to save Yuzuki. They had thought that they could keep it a secret, however, one of the benefits of no one other than herself and Yuzuki knowing what the members of Central 46 looked like. She had sent in a fairly younger looking member to spy for her. She had warned Xerath to not do this, however, it seemed that he had not listened. He had gathered five captains. She would wait, hiding her Reiatsu to see what they would do.

Xerath looked at everyone that had gathered. he knew that Kage had warned him against taking any rash actions to rescue Yuzuki. However, Yuzuki had been silent for 54 days, almost two months. She said she was alright, she said she would be back soon. Soon was 54 days ago, as far as Xerath was concerned. In his mind, he had waited long enough, now was the time to act. He was in his true form, his energy comprised body rippled like a living flame as he addressed the assembled captains.

"My fellow captains..." Xarath began, "Captain Yuzuki has been missing from our midst for 54 long days. Despite her assurance that she was well, I believe that her silence bodes poorly. Now, I believe, is the time for us, her comrades, to go and find out for ourselves what has become of her."

Tokiru removed his zanpakuto from under his arm as he crouched down. The end of the sheath placed to the ground between his legs. He kept his hands crossed over the pommel of the hilt with his chin resting in the back of the top hand. His fingers drummed against his wrist as he thought silently during Xerath's welcoming speech. To him this was all about the rescue of Captain Yuzuki, however he had his suspicions of a greater purpose. A captain that vanished basically day for day time wise as when the soul king was abducted.

He lifted his head up so he could speak. "That is fine and dandy, Xerath, but what exactly is the plan for doing so? From the reports things didn't go over so well when Hueco Mundo came here. So from a logical tactical point, tell me how we shall make things go to our favor in their back yard?" When he finished speaking he rested his chin back onto his hand and waited patiently for more information.

Olyna Denygise rolled her eyes at the master of castle's greeting. "Naw. Really? Shouldn't we have done that--I don't know. When she FIRST disappeared? Not almost two months later? For ******** sake." She was irritated, that much was obvious. She was trying to get used to the captainship herself, and had lied to Ayume about where she was going. That never boded well.

There were a total of five there. Five. Out of how many? Granted they hadn't completed recovered yet, but still. Their lack of numbers were ridiculous.

At least Tokiru had his head on them. They knew what they were there for, and he had asked the question that they were all avoiding. How did they make sure they were the victors over there? "My squads ability should help with that. At least for a while. I could make sure they couldn't see us. Or see that The Soul King was missing from their prisons to buy us time." It wouldn't hold for long, but it was a start at the very least.

Seri bit her lower lip. Her squad ability would be a good fit for this mission. "My squad ability would help here. It can incapacitate many with little effort. We could treat this as a stealth mission since our numbers are so few," she said. She looked around the group to see how they would react to this idea. She agreed though, the probably should have done this sooner, but then the guards would be jumpy. After this long the guards would have relaxed a little bit.

Auron would speak his piece, he had a history with Hueco Mundo, probably a better history than anybody else here as well. "I understand the fear of marching into unknown enemy territory. And I get it, I'm still the "new guy" here, but dammit, Yuzuki was my friend. I have a history with Hueco Mundo, I know some of the ins and outs of the place, not very well mind you, but some and probably enough to get by. The "Greeting Party" they like to give me is generally a few gillain class and an Adjuchas by the name of "Kurokaze" he and I have.... history." He would pause and take a breath.

"So we should be ready for a short encounter just after we exit, leave Kurokaze to me. The Gillain shouldn't be hard for 5 Captain Class Shinigami to deal with. As well we have my Squad Ability too which can help us out in a pinch."

He shifted his stance to show off Rahaishin who was on his right side of his waist, she was on edge too. They might not have been in this spot for long but Yuzuki was their friend and they still had a score to settle with a certain hollow.

Kage was where she was, watching them talk. She thought that they were talking about which squad abilities would be best. She leaned over to hear better. The castle seemed to be holding her weight as it was. They were talking about specific Hollows that were there, when the part of the castle she was holding onto fell off. Sending her towards the ground.

She quickly turned herself so that she would land properly. She also attempted to land in the middle of them all. As if almost to give them a scare. They shouldn't do this. Central would have all of them arrested and sent to the Nest of Maggots.

When she landed, she looked at them all. "You do know what you are doing is going to most likely brand you all as traitors, correct?"

A tiny piece of castle bounced off Xerath's head and he looked up to see Kage plummeting to the earth, followed by a much bigger piece of his castle. He shifted to the side so that the falling piece of masonry just missed him. He saw Kage land on her feet like a cat and scold everyone for what Xerath was planning to attempt. He moved forward to get her attention.

"I know you disapprove of this Kage, but please consider how long it has been since Yuzuki's last contact. It has been 54 days and we've not heard a thing. Something must have happened to her over there."

Captain Yamura rolled his head back enough so he could fix his soft blue purple colored eyes on Auron. "No one said anything about fear, just practicality." In fact looking at him there was nothing of fear in how he appeared. He seemed more detached and indifferent than anything else. "Besides we can't expect the same welcome that you get. At the least we should be expecting them to be unwanted add ons to the welcome wagon that would show up to deal with us."

He sighed softly and righted his head as he pondered for a second and examined the others. "All things considered our tactics should be focused towards stealth. There are five of us. One doesn't go into enemy territory and start kicking down doors and making a ruckus where you will be heavily outnumbered... So the stealth ability, assuming it can be shared with all of us will certainly be a boon. For the others I can't say I am familiar with the techniques of your squads."

Tokiru stopped then at the sound of falling stone and stood up again. He didn't look up as Kage dropped in just then. Xerath spoke up in response to her so for now he just stayed quiet.

Seri nodded. Her motion for stealth was being echoed. Then Kage literally dropped in to join the party. She didn't see how rescuing a fellow Captain would be considered treasonous. "Are you suggesting we just leave her over there to rot? What if she is dying or being tortured?" She wasn't in the way of the falling stone that announced Kage's arrival so she hadn't moved. She tapped her fingers on the hilt of her sword. They couldn't afford to be obvious when they went in. Yet was there a unobvious way for shinigami's to enter the territory of the Hollows?

Auron didn't care. He heard Kage talking about how they could be charged with treason, but he didn't care. "Yuzuki is my friend. Captain or not if its treason to go rescue a friend then I guess I'm guilty." He would do everything he could, and certainly a stealthy option would be preferred. "So, anybody have any ideas on how we get in?"

"Yuzuki is my friend as well. However, I have been told to stop anyone that attempts to go, as a decree of Central 46." Kage sounded firm. She really would love to join them in finding her, mostly to ask how things went. She had known that Yuzuki wanted to talk to the Cero face to face. However, Central was starting to get out of hand.

Kage looked around. "However, if you were to overpower me" She winked I would be more than happy to help."

Xerath stared at her as she basically just told him that she was willing to help. Even though she told him not to do this. But Yuzuki was important to Kage too, it wasn't completely out of the realm of possibility that she would want to join the cause. He floated over to Kage and did a motion similar to someone rolling up their sleeves.
"I think I can oblige."

Out in the distance, a strange echoing sound could be heard, and if they looked up, a red flare light, could be seen shooting into the sky. An easy kido, even a soldier could do it. But a red flare only meant one thing: EMERGENCY. It was coming from the direction of the hill where the battle 65 days ago had taken. The place that the Soul King had disappeared.

Tokiru looked between Xerath and Kage. "Sure just one would be enough to be convincing in overpowering her." He moved his hand around on his zanpakuto to hold it by the sheath to use it like a improvise club rather than bare steel. "Gotta be sure Central will buy the st-" He trailed off at the alarm and turned his head to look at the flair in the distance. "What is going on now?"

"You're not gonna know by sitting there and asking GENIUS." Olyna didn't wait to find out. She crouched, and shunpo'd forward. her haughty nature due to stress.

Seri's eyes were drawn to the flare in the sky.
" She's right." That was all Seri said before she followed the other captain's example and shunpo'd towards the flare to find out who needed help.

Auron noticed the flare and as it flew through the sky, Rahaishins words flew through his mind. And he couldn't agree more. He didn't say a word but blasted off in Shunpo following Seri and the others to where the flare was

"I may be old, but....." Kage started to say as the flare went through the sky. It looked like it was Bakudo 12. She didn't finish her statement. This would allow her to stay with the group for now and it would allow her to hopefully find out what happened. She Shunpo forward as well, Just behind the group.

Xerath was gone the moment he saw that flare shoot up into the sky, just like everyone else. That flare went up other the area the Cero Espada attacked with his army of hollows. It might be a coincidence, but on the other hand…

When the captains would reach the area, if they looked up to the sky, they would notice a Garganta opened... a form half way through, though it did not look as if they were walking through on their own. The five captains and Kage would watch as a woman was pushed through, guided by arms.

The garganta was not high up... in fact it was at simply eye level with the tallest on there. The form was the shape of a woman with long hair, though it would be hard to see her properly, for she was covered in blood, her body ragged, torn, and blood would not wait for her to be pushed all the way through for it to start dripping sanguine drops on the blades of grass under their feet.

But sure enough, one would recognize their Comrade. Yuzuki. Her eyes were dim as she fought for consciousness and as she was pushed through the gargant one would notice she'd been lowered, as if they did not want to drop her, whoever was pushing her through.... she'd be pushed through to the other side and the garganta would snap shut appropriately, as the dying woman did nothing to prevent herself from falling.

Xerath's eyes widened as he saw Yuzuki, the very woman he had endeavored to save not two seconds ago, being pushed gently out of a Garganta. She looked like a ragdoll that had been given to someone's pet cat. Xerath rocketed forward, quickly overtaking everyone and reaching out toward her.

"YUZUKI-SAMA!!" The words spilled out of Xerath before he could stop them as his arm extended out toward Yuzuki. His hand expanded and became huge enough to catch Yuzuki in the palm of his hand before she hit the ground. Then he slowly and carefully retracted his arm, pulling her back to him until his arm returned to normal and he was holding her in his arms. He stared down at her, she was barely alive and bleeding out. She needed to be taken to hospital NOW. He vanished from the area with shunpo and took the dying Yuzuki with him.

Kage looked as Yuzuki came out of the Garganta. This wasn't good. The Soul King couldn't die here. She was glad when Xerath took her to the hospital. She looked defeated. If only she had stopped Yuzuki. Her friend wouldn't be hurt. She balled her hands into fists as she thought. She then disappeared from the scene following Xerath to the Hospital.

That woman. That Garganta. Would the others know her as their King? Or were they still ignorant as she had wanted them to be?

Seeing the woman as she reentered into their world, in the condition she was in, Olyna couldn't help herself. She released her zanpakuto in route, water streaming from her body, knowing full well that she was probably one of the only things that would keep the woman from her imminent death. After all, a person's insides were supposed to remain there. Not the other way around. She was hurt. And Olyna was a healer.

Probably a good thing, all things considered.

Xerath was quicker to move, but Olyna was right on his heels, already saying a silent prayer that her abilities would be of use. Though Xerath seemed to want none of it. He had taken off with the woman in hand, running as fast as he could, without even considering that there was a healer in their midst. That Olyna could help. "Xerath you moron!" she yelled after him, shunpoing after the man.

Tokiru followed closely behind the others, bringing up the rear of the group that was heading for the flare. As they arrived and saw the garganta he noticed the falling figure and from his place in the rear was easily able to shift his shunpo to follow Xerath in after it. He exited the agility and shifted seamlessly to airwalk as he looked over the blue form at the girl he had caught. It was Yuzuki, he could recognize her from the shouting her name and even injured as she was he could see the similarities between her and her little girl. Well this removed the need to go in after her...

Kage and Xerath both vanished, followed closely by Olyna. Doubtlessly using all haste to take Yuzuki to squad four. Tokiru looked at Seti who seemed interested in the garganta itself that had delivered Yuzuki. He excused himself with a soft, "Commander Kurashi needs to know his wife is back. So I am off." Captain Yamura then shunpoed off in the direction of the Kurashi household where he could sense the captain commanders strong energies in the distance.

Seri only had time to take in the injuries before Yuzuki was carried away. She looked like she'd been through a shredder. What had happened? And whose arms had lowered her out? She gazed in the place where the garganta had been for a moment. This didn't make sense....unless. but truely? No. Seri shook the fleeting thought aside. "That Garganta...hmmmm." The Captain was in good hands and she had no healing abilities, but she could study how their fellow captain had been delivered to them.
Then she followed. She'd study more later. Right now, she had to see this through and keep the others from arguing. She shunpo'd after the others.
