...and I'm not sure I'm all that hyped.
Worse part is, I feel like I'm the only one.
I can't be the only one steering on the side of caution here, can I?
I understand that it's an anniversary celebration and all, but to me, part of what is so great about the Digimon anime is that every series is a new universe (Series 1 and 2 excluded) with it's own rules that may or may not be connected to the one before it.
Going back to Adventure just seems like a cheap pop at some extra ratings from the "genwunners". And in the mean time, the character designs haven't bowled me over, it's like looking at the Our War Game movie for the humans, and I have to ask what happened to Agumon in the recent image that was released.
I'm excited for this because of nostalgia, but I'm not ready to get on the hype train and travel back to what would have to be 2005-2006 in the Adventure timeline.
I am hoping that it grows on me when it does air, but at the moment I just haven't been able to get 100% behind this.
