[General Information] Name: Kent Cranston, Kent Allard II Nicknames: none that are known to him Titles: The Shadow Age: 23 Birthday: Febuary 18, 1992 Star sign: Aquarius Gender: Male Race: Human Alliance: Hero Personality: Despite his actions while he fights, Kent holds a great need to protect the innocent, and deal with criminals in whatever way is called for, even death if there is no other option. Like his grandfather, he has no trouble killing men if there is no other option, but sends an anonymous gift of money to their families, be it for their homes or for their kids school funding. He finds honor as an aspect above all others, and holds humility from his training and knowing there are far stronger entities than him out in the world.
[Personal Information] Height: 5’ 7” Weight: 165 pounds Occupation: college student Sexuality: Heterosexual Likes: dogs, puzzles, strategy, the signature laugh of the Shadow Dreams: of a world where heroes shall return Dislikes: sudden assumptions without proper reason, hypocrites, family abusers, drug dealers/drug lords, crime in general Fears: that he won't be able to hold the mantle of the Shadow as well as his grandfather did. Darkest Secret: Three fanfics of batman and superman that he keeps locked away from the rest of the world, never to see the light of day again. Favourite Food: medium rare steak with minced onions. Favourite Drink: Hot Chocolate Least Favourite Food: Green Beans Least Favourite Drink: Coffee Loyalties: Kent places his loyalty among justice and those who need to be saved, as well as the agents his grandfather left him. Intelligence Level: His IQ is 147, and he holds a masters in psychology and physiology while still aiming for a doctorate. Along with this, he bears a great understanding over how the criminal underworld operates from the agents Graham has placed around the country. Dominant Hand: ambidextrous Strengths: strong leadership skills, high concentration, always finishes what he starts, holds an indomitable will. Weaknesses: tends to talk more than fight at times, can be reckless when angered, can daydream while waiting on events.
Cherished Items: The disguise of the Shadow that his grandfather used during his time, and the premise his outfit was based off of. He keeps them on a glass-covered mannequin within the lair Graham made, kept as a momentum to Kent Allard.
Philosophical/social viewpoint: Like his grandfather, he believes that crime must be punished, and that the actions of the organized police can’t reach far enough to deal with it. He believes every person should do what he or she wishes so long as it doesn’t fall in the ways of harming others.
Religious viewpoint: He believes in the existence of a higher being, but other than that he doesn't try to dig deeper into it.
Romantic viewpoint: Kent believes romance takes time, that if you have a connection then you strengthen it as time passes before you go on it. Because of this, he has never been in a serious relationship, though he did have a few girlfriends during his school years that never amounted to anything.
Biography The son of Keith and Ealenor Cranston, Kent was named by his grandfather when he was given the option by his parents, soon to have him seem to vanish when Kent was only three. During the early years of his life, he had lived in a small house with his father and mother, both of which worked on making their own living while keeping the money that was given to them by Lamont Cranston's will for their son when he grew old enough, thinking that it'd be better for him to learn how to deal without the expenses they had. During Kents thirteenth birthday, however, they sent him to go learn from Graham Shrevnitz, a family friend whose grandfather worked as a cabby for Cranston. This was due to one event in school where he had beaten up a group of five kids after they had started to bully him and a few other kids.
Graham, seeing this as a mere act of proper judgement, decided on home schooling Kent while also training him in hand to hand. During the first three years, Graham found Kents mind quite advanced for his age, able to figure out solutions and learn things a few years beyond his age. He also noticed a similar look to Kent Allerd that his grandson held in his actions, giving him a sort of idea as to how much he could learn or take in studying or training. During Kent's sixteenth birthday, when he had come over from his parents to learn from Graham again, Graham gave him seven encrypted journals that were written by his grandfather as a birthday present, also giving him the test of decrypting them. Kent, ecstatic over the journals and the challenge his grandfather had given them, thanked Graham and went to work on the journals. Then, for the next six months, Kent worked on the journals in between the times he learned from Graham in hand to hand and in studies. It was during the end of these months that he finally decrypted the code for them, learning small bits of his grandfather's history as a pilot and spy during the first world war. As he continued reading, however, he soon came across the parts of his grandfather's history where they had made a fortune and learned from immortal chinese masters, making Kent far more interested in learning more of the books.
As Kent tore through the books, he started to slack off from Grahams training, making the man worried as he went to Kents home to help him with some things. Eventually, however, Kent had finished through the journals and knew the entirety of his grandfather's history, including the identity he bore as the Shadow and of how he was named after his original name of Kent Allard, that way he'd be reminded that the name does not carry the blood of those who had wore it prior, nor does it carry their sins. He also learned of Graham's involvement near the end of his career, and of a promise between Graham and him to ensure a single thing: The return of the Shadow if the world turned for the worst. When Kent confronted him about it, Graham had decided to take Kent on a trip, taking the boy to an old hut within. There, Kent met a face he did not expect to see, the face of an old Kent Allard, still going by Lamont Cranston. There, the two spoke, from Allard's exploits to the events after the real Cranston's death. There he learned of his father's original identity, one of Kent's sons known as Ching Yao Chang, and of how he had decided on his name change due to personal reasons. Soon, however, Lamont and Kent had talked straight into night, Graham himself listening in on the two over the events, leaving nothing else to talk about. There, however, Lamont gave his grandson a question: If he would take up his legacy as The Shadow if anything were to happen. It was during this that the young Kent had to stop and think, his grandfather giving him three days to decide on it. at the end of the third day, however, Kent decided that he would learn from his grandfather in order to protect the innocent, but wouldn't become the Shadow until the world demanded it. Lamont accepted this, and returned to the states with him and Grant under a disguise of an old man, so as not to reveal the look of his actual age to his son's wife. During the next seven years, he trained Kent in various aspects, including the martial arts he had learned along with his ability to cloud the minds of men, even giving Kent the Girasol ring. By the time Kent Cranston had reached the age of twenty-one, he had mastered his grandfather's art of hypnotism along with most of the forms of martial arts that his grandfather knew. He was also going to college and learning in the medical fields, both physically and psychologically, in order to deal with anyone who needed aid if he would have no reason to become the Shadow.
During the flashpoint event, however, Lamont was no exception during the disappearances of heroes, and vanished in front of a twenty two year old Kent during their normal training routine. This immediately put fear in Kent, making him turn to run to his own parents to ensure they were fine. When he found out they were alright, he had told his father of what had happened. This brought worry in his father, who decided that it'd be best for him and Kent's mother to leave the country to Shambhala, the city that Lamont learned his abilities within as well as where Keith was born. Graham, in the meantime, began working around the clock with the string of agents of the Shadow, working around the clock to find what might've happened. Kent, in the meantime, began to undertake his own final trial given by Lamont, to deal a massive blow to the criminal underworld in New York City if he was to undertake his task. With this task in mind, Kent began this work on the areas around him, starting small and dealing with drug dealers and small gangs while leaving a calling card of a black silhouette, putting worry into the older groups that resided in New York. It even brought the police commissioner, a man who was brought into position by the older groups, to start up a task force to track Kent down. However, Kent eventually dealt a massive blow to these forces three months later by dropping in on an emergency meeting of the groups within a small warehouse, Kent grabbing one of the leaders main smugglers due to his poor security and learning of many locations they used for weapons and drugs. The sun didn't even rise before each of these areas were hit, the weapons destroyed beyond repair and the drug warehouses cleared out.
Now, a year later, Kent has taken up the mantle of The Shadow, and is finishing his move into Gotham to see if he can aid the heroes there, dealing his own form of a massive blow to the criminal underworld in New York by incapacitating their major heads and lieutenants before he had left. After all, none can escape the judgement of the Shadow.
[Relationship information] Friends: ○ Graham Shrevnitz | supporter of good | Mentor and Agent of The Shadow Grandson of Moses Shrevnitz, he was given a task by Lamont Cranston to bring back The Shadow if the situation ever became dire enough. During his life, however, he spent his time within Special Operations, and managed the money for the Cranstons as instructed by Lamont. Though he is trained well in combat and stealth, and held the trust of Lamont Cranston due to his grandfather's actions, he bore no interest in becoming a hero, only wanting to aid those who took up the mantle in any way.

[Weapon information] ○ Dual .45 Semi-auto pistols: These two guns were specifically customized by Graham to be able to be used easily by Kent, both firing customized bullets made by one of the other agents and sent to them through one of seven agents that normally gather information. Because of this, it places the bullets to be untraceable via normal means, with the customized rounds themselves not even holding a brand appearing on any known purchases.
[Other item information] ○ The Shadow’s attire: Kent holds several modified versions of his grandfather’s suit fashioned by Graham in the thirty years since his vow of secrecy, each one similar in every detail to the looks of the original outfit. The layering within, however, is far different. The entire coat, suit, and cape are insulated, including the signature red scarf he puts around his face with traces of led to butcher any x-rays. Within the fabric, as well, is 700 nanometers of graphene, making it far more durable than Kevlar and able to block most forms of bullets save for high grade armor piercing rounds. This makes him able to maneuver around in the suit just as easily as his grandfather could, while also granting him more defense when he is in the open, though he's more likely to have the wind knocked out of him from enough shots.
○ The Sanctum of The Shadow: originally within the confines of New York City, it has since been moved and renovated to a hotel in the central area of Gotham, from an idea Lamont got from reading through his grandfather's journals. The lair resides under the hotel and holds volumes of books, drinks, and suits for Lamont to use while he works, and can only be opened from a small location inside of the hotel while also holding a outer escape route that leads to an alleyway.
○ Girasol Ring: An red-opal ring which gives off a hypnotic reddish glow, causing his enemies to confess information. The ring was originally used by his grandfather, and mimics of the ring are used to identify agents of The Shadow.
[Ability information]
○ Martial Arts: Taught by his grandfather and Graham, he has a mastery of most forms of martial arts, having the same amount of time training as his grandfather did. Because his body was still aging during his training, along with his genes bearing roots to Shambala, his physical and mental prowess are more advanced than his grandfather's were at the time.
○ Languages: Taught by Lamont during the early stages of his training, he has the ability to read lips and has learned to speak Mandarin, Korean, French, Dutch, Swedish, Spanish, Italian, and Greek so far, while he has learned several others that he doesn't know the names of. Like his grandfather, as well, he can easily learn what's said in a language he doesn't understand after listening to the languages for a long while, though he cannot speak it without practice.
○ Stealth: using the same training regime his grandfather gave him, along with the training he had under Graham, he has a mastery of stealth that can allow him to break into most high grade facilities.
○ Hypnosis: with the sight of his burning eyes, his foes become intensified with fears, causing them to reveal or confess to a case being investigated by him. His gaze can also manipulate "weaker minds," causing them to perform simple tasks that are not in their best interest. Along with this, he bears the ability to "cloud mens minds," hiding his presence from others in a way that renders him invisible to the eye.
○ Firearm training: given his training with Graham and Lamont along with the tests they gave him, he’s mastered the uses of several firearms, including the signature dual pistol style that his grandfather used as the original Shadow. Along with this, he knows how to use most firearms with precision, able to shoot at just the right angles to incapacitate someone without killing them. This was proven during the time he had been cornered by a few gangs and had managed to incapacitate every one of them without their wounds being fatal, mainly shooting for either their feet or their hands to disarm them.
○ Genius level Intellect: Like his grandfather, Lamont bears a high level intellect and can understand situations far better than most people, even coming up with strategies to deal with occasions while on the dot. Be that as it may, however, Lamont still has occasions where he moves rather than thinks, allowing his instincts to take over. ○ Mimicry: trained personally by the original Shadow, Kent bears the ability to mimic various voices, from an old man to a young boy's, to even that of a young womans.
○ Disguise: Like his grandfather, he uses the art of disguise to blend with crowds, even going into areas in a disguise to learn information, able to impersonate both male and females in his disguises.
○ Investigation: taught by Lamont and given various projects to investigate, Kent holds a keen knack of investigating an area, be it from a crime scene to a well laid trap, to even what someone could've been doing before he arrived.
[Weakness information]
○ Human: Despite his abilities, he is completely and utterly human and can be killed as such. Along with this, it also means that while he can hypnotize others not to see him, he can still be smelled out by animals or those with animal-like abilities.
○ Temple Bells of Neban: by three chimes of these small bells, they are among a few things that can dissipate his illusion of the mind to hide his presence. The bells reside within a locked vault in the original lair of the Shadow, where his grandfather had placed them after defeating their user. (these weren't part of the comics, but they do belong to the radio show. If I need to remove them then I will, just found the bells rather fun.)
○ Strong mind: Though his abilities allow him to cloud mens minds, it cannot work against those who have as strong or a stronger mind than his own. However, he can still appear hidden into nothing more than a shadow that no one can find, and only those who have undergone the same training or hold telepathy can see through the hypnotism

Moderately well in psychology and investigation Dominant Hand: Right Strengths: strong hope, quick thinker, sense of honor, a love of peace, tendency to make puns or jokes while fighting that makes his enemies underestimate him, good motivational speaker when needed. Weaknesses: quick to give second chances, could act too easy on opponents
Cherished Items: The Blue Power Ring that was given to him by the Blue Lantern Corps to signify his joining into their ranks.
Philosophical/ Social Viewpoint: he believes that even in the darkest times, hope can find a way to light the hearts of those who have none, or can’t find a way through. His social viewpoint is the same, believing that if people tried to do something, they could make a great change in things. Along with this, he holds a high sense of justice and believes that there could be resolutions that last in peace. From his time training on Odym, this has only grown stronger, if anything else.
Religious Viewpoint: he believes in the existence of a creator, but doesn’t want to add any more to it from all the spectacles people have.
Romantic Viewpoint: he believes a relationship should be real in order for it to work, and be made after a time of being friends or from working together for a long time.
Personality he has a get up and go type attitude when he’s doing anything he needs to, having a up beat spirit anytime he has to go through a major event in his life. He doesn't really care if the people are rude to him, so long as he can try to make some people happy, he's fine with his accommodations. This was seen with his actions while abducted up to the point he met the blue lantern.
Biography Born to a doctor and a nurse in Coast City, Derek had an easy life growing up. He ended up in good schools and learned a lot in each, and though he didn't make friends, he still made it so that people were at least happy all around through his actions, and that bit always gave him hope during his time in school that things could get better than they were out in the real world. During his time at school, he did fairly well in math and in requirements needed for investigations, and his imaginations and ideas were endless. Because of his constant daydreaming, though, he didn't have that many friends. However, when he did get up and move about, people couldn't help but smile at his attitude to things. He had a way about him that calmed people down, even when he was faced with bullies early in life.
Skip forwards a few years to where he was eighteen and over seas on a trip through Egypt. During one day where the tourists were heading towards one of the pyramids, and a group of men stopped their vehicle, carrying guns, and telling Derek and the passengers to have their heads down and give them their valuables. During this time the police force was coming in at speed, someone managing to dial for help while they had and one of the men starts to grab one of the tourists, an old man, before Derek stood up, asking to take him in their place. The men, running low on time as the police arrive, agree and toss the man back into the group, taking Derek instead as leverage. However, instead of releasing him immediately, they kept him for three months with their group, using him as a form of worker to do trivial tasks they needed in their base, a small facility in the desert. Derek, though his surroundings and settings were far different, still kept his mind on his hopes of eventually being released and kept his up beat spirit, despite how they treated him. Though most of the men seemed amused at his way of thinking, there were some that actually started to feel regrets for him being kept around this long.
By the end of the third month, he had amazingly kept his up beat personality, though not having been fed as much as he should've been made his body look otherwise. However, he had gained a good deal of strength, and still held his hopes on eventually being free. One day during his daily routines, one of the men had finally had pity on him for too long and handed him keys to a car, telling him of the quickest way to leave, which completely took Derek by surprise. He thanked the man greatly and drove off in the direction they had said, and by the time the men realize he had escaped, a sandstorm had hit the area, leaving them no way of finding him. As Derek drove, he ended up getting lost within the storm, forcing him to stop after getting a good distance away from the area he was captive in. By the time the sand storm settled, however, he found that he had ended up stranded in the center of a great amount of sand dunes. So, with no idea on where to go, and with the sun already setting to give signal of the night, he ended up staying in the car to wait for morning.
However, during the middle of the night as he gazed into the stars, he noticed a blue light coming down from the sky, approaching an area close by to him. Derek, curious on what it could be, turned on the car and started driving towards it in search of what it could've been. When he had reached the source of the light, he found it to be an alien that wore blue attire with a symbol he thought was similar to what he saw on images of the Green Lantern's suit, and got out of the car to approach them. The alien noticed him, but was sitting within the air as if trying to sense something around it. When Derek finally asked who they were and if they needed help in anything, the blue clad alien looked to him and asked what had happened to the green lanterns of this world. When he responded with how they had vanished, the blue figure had begun to turn back to the stars before Derek shouted to wait, asking if they knew what had happened, and if there was any way he could help in fixing what caused this. The alien decided to ask Derek his name, and when he had answered, the being said that it's name was Sister Sercey, and if he truly wished to help find out what had happened, then he would need to be evaluated by her. He simply replied with if it would be okay if they moved out of this area first and towards where the lanterns used to reside on the planet, which Sercey agreed to and flew him to his hometown.
When they made it she took the form of a human police officer, and took him home to meet his parents, who were over joyed to see their son returned, which he returned in full. The next day, however, he began talking to Sercey on things about him and of what she belonged to, of the Blue Lantern Corps and of the other six Lanterns Corps of the universe. Sercey began this by talking to him on what his character was, evaluating him while they talked, and from how he acted outside of these times when he was out and about, returning to his habit of helping out people he needed to. After three days, Sercey deemed him worthy to come with her to Odym to become a Blue Lantern, which Derek agreed to before he was given time to say a momentary good bye to his family, saying he was going away for awhile. They were devastated that he was leaving so soon after the event, and he honestly was just as devastated, so Sercey allowed him one more week at home to explain what he was about to go through, and would wait for him to be ready.
After the one week passed, his parents knew now of the blue lanterns. Though they were afraid for their son, they agreed for him to go and do what he believed he needed to, and Sister Sercey took him off to Odym. When they had arrived, he was taken to Saint Walker to be told of the requirements of being a Blue Lantern, of how it is a responsibility to give one's self to the universe, and also that he would learn his ultimate destiny. Without further ado, Saint Walker gave him a Blue Power Ring, and Derek saw a future where the Justice League was back on its feet, him aiding them where they needed it most. For the next two years after this, he trained with Saint Walker on his abilities, and learned of their strengths and weaknesses. After he had finished his training, he headed off to Earth, becoming the Blue Lantern for Sector 2814 by Saint Walker's order because of his familiarity with the system, along with the fact of Disappearances of the Green Lanterns in the sector.
For the last week he's been back in the Solar system to take a break from his roaming the sector, searching for a new initiate he could bring in from earth, though he also lives on the road in the U.S. in order to keep tabs on the planet after the loss of heroes, people soon talking of a blue light flying through the sky, others of a man in blue aiding people who were in trouble and had no way of escape.

[Weapon Information] Blue Lantern Ring: This is the ring that is the trademark item for the blue lanterns, empowered by the hope of those who wear them.
[Ability Information]
○ Blue Energy Conduit: The rings use Blue energy, supplied by a Power Battery which in most cases takes the form of blue light. The Blue energy of hope has an infallible connection to the universe. Hope is the most powerful of light, and thus the universe speaks through it. A Blue Power ring is one of the most powerful weapons in the universe, and has the ability to affect and use fundamental forces of the universe, including electromagnetic energies such as gravity, radiation, heat, light, and powerful blasts of concussive force. The ring can also create fields of force formed from an unknown energy that was bound by the users' will. The limitations of such use are the skill, knowledge and imagination of the user.
○ Animating: A Blue Lantern can will things to move how he wants.
○ Artificial Intelligence: Every ring has a connection to the Main Battery on Odym, which taps into an artificial intelligence. It acts as an "on-board computer," telling the wearer what they need to know. It can either respond out loud, or silently directly to the wearer's mind. The AI contains a large database of information that may be crucial to a Lantern's success. The ring also translates nearly every language to and from the wearer (though they have difficulty translating profanity), which is why the Corps can communicate with each other. When the bearer of a Blue Lantern ring dies, the ring will seek out a suitable replacement for their sector. The AI can be used to play a holographic playback sequence complete with colors across the spectrum based on information in memory banks. The ring can dictate when to pause or stop the playback should an interruption arise where the Lanterns undivided attention is needed. The AI can also alert the wielder of incoming threats or of attempts to manipulate the wielders construct by an outside party.
○ Communicator: The ring can act as a personal communicator between Lanterns. They have also been seen connected to telephones.
○ Costumes: The wearer of the ring may create any costume they choose, based on their personal preferences, whenever they choose. The ring projects the costume over any clothes already worn at the time. It is unknown if the Blue Lanterns have any protocol over costume choices though probably not has long as they display the Blue Lantern symbol.
○ Energy Projection: The rings can also project beams, form protective bubbles and force fields, and fire destructive blasts. For Blue Lanterns to be effective they require a nearby Green Lantern.
○ Energy Constructs: The constructs of a Blue Lantern are often not directly created by the Lantern himself/herself and are often a representation of the hope the target genuinely feels. Example when used against John Stewart he say his dead wife Katma Tui and when used against Arkillo he saw his former leader Sinestro. Blue Lanterns are capable of using more traditional constructs in the presence of a Green Lantern.
○ Energy Charging: The Blue ring can charge any other powering to twice its usual capacity if the Blue Lantern wishes it.
○ Energy Draining: The Blue Lantern Ring can negativly impact the rings on the opposite side of the spectrum. Sinestro Corps powers steadily drain, Blue Rings can counter the negative aspects of the red power ring, and the blue ring and quench the hunger of the orange light of avarice.
○ Flight: The ring allows the wearer to fly in atmosphere or in space, and can achieve incredible speeds, moving from planet to planet in a matter of hours.
○ Hope Empowerment & Manipulation: When a different Lantern is near the aura of a Blue Lantern, their ring will be charged up to maximum capacity and will remain so as long as that Blue Lantern "hopes for [his or her] well-being". The constant empowerment has a tendency to cause a form interference to other power sources. Blue Lanterns feed off of hope and can utilize its energy for a variety of effects, bypassing using the rings energy. For example, Saints Walker and Warth use the hope of a planet's billions of alien beings to reverse the age of a dying sun 8.6 billion years.
○ Invisibility: The ring can make the wearer or anything else invisible..
○ Mirages: The Ring can create mirages/illusions.
○ Phasing: The ring allows the user to go through walls. This ability however required great concentration on the bearer of the ring
○ Recharging: The Blue Rings are powered and fueled by hope, so there is no need to recharge them with a battery.
○ Ring Duplication: Each ring can duplicate itself, creating a second ring which may be given to another as a backup, for protection, or to help the lantern in times of great need. This duplicate ring is exactly like a normal ring.
○ Temperature Control: The Ring can increase or decrease the temperature of anything, even something as large as stars, or even create bubbles of intense heat or cold, even down to Absolute Zero. This could be seen in the recent Sinestro Corps War when Sallak used his ring to incase an enemy in a force bubble an incinerate him.
○ Electro-magnetic scanning: The ring can allow(through the use of x rays) the user to see through walls, without the people on the other side knowing. it can also scan along the Electromagnetic spectrum.
○ Wormhole/Warps: The ring can open wormholes to cut down on distance.
○ Healing: Apparently, Blue Rings can heal physical, spiritual, and mental wounds. The Blue Light is also the only known thing that can extinguish the fire produced by Red Lanterns.
○ Pocket dimension: Within the ring is a pocket dimension which can altered to the wielders specification. It can be used to contain opponents.
○ Sub-routines: The power rings have inner programmings or mechanisms which can executed without the users permission. One such sub-routine is the autoshield. This shield automatically protects a wielder from external harm and has been proven to be capable of protecting the wielder from planetary level attacks.
○ X-ray: The ring can allow the user to see through walls, without the people on the other side knowing.
○ Cancels out Red Power Rings: The Blue Rings are also capable of destroying The Red Rings if one is placed on a Red Lantern. Whether this unusual process can be reversed is not yet known.
○ Universal Translator: Keeping in mind the myriad of worlds, life forms, and cultures throughout the cosmos, it is understandable why Guardians of Hope added a translation system to the power ring.
○ Material Alteration: The Blue Lantern's uniform is not made out of fabric. It is created by the Power Ring whenever the wearer wills to wear it. It automatically appears over the wearer's normal clothing, and vanishes when the wearer wills to return to their civilian attire. Most Blue Lantern wear similar uniforms that are programmed into the ring by default. However, each Blue Lantern is able to adjust their uniform to fit their own needs, personalities and whims.
○ Precognition: Upon receiving the ring, Blue Lanterns will experience a moment of the future by the Blue Light, directly related to the wielder and with the express purpose of lifting their hopes. For Derek, it was a future where the Justice League was rebuilt and him in a place where he could aid them as much as needed.
○ Fear Depletion: As fear is the belief of imminent demise, hope is the belief of imminent success. As such, Blue Lantern Rings are capable of depleting the energy of Qwardian Power Rings.
○ Rage Removal: If a subject has been infected with the red light of rage, a Blue Power Ring can create a vision of the subject's greatest hope to calm and heal them. In the case of John Stewart, it showed him a vision of being reunited with his dead wife Katma Tui. The process behind the removal is part spiritual and part medical. The infected goes through a cellular cleansing while the spiritual levels are analyzed and antitoxins are then administrated. When the spiritual connection is connected the blood production begins to increase. The end result releases those infected.
○ Avarice Immunity: A blue ring is not vulnerable to the Orange Lantern Corps' favored tactic of draining energy from other Corps' rings. The reason of this is that while Avarice erodes Will, it can't consume Hope, thus rendering Avarice useless against Hope.
○ Parkour: since he was eleven he's been self training himself in parkour by climbing over walls and running along them, sometimes falling but eventually getting the hang of it, soon being able to climb over roofs and run along tiled houses. By the time he was eighteen he could do this at ease, and probably might have escaped his captivity if it weren't for his lack of knowledge on where the hell he was.
○ Hand to hand (decent): along with his training of his blue lantern abilities by Saint Walker, he was also taught on how to without his ring through the knowledge in it, pondering it's knowledge and learning what he could on some of the fighting arts known to his ring's A.I. interface. It's nowhere near the same type of training for someone that's lived with it, but the strength he gained is enough for him to at least defend himself.
[Weakness Information]
Energy Interface: As the continuing power of the ring's connection of "universal hope", it has a tendency to cause a form of interference to other power sources.
○ Willpower Symbiosis: The Blue Light of Hope has but one weakness, one that Atrocitus is also aware of. Hope is useless without the Willpower to enact it, and, as such, without an active member of the Green Lantern Corps nearby, a Blue Power Ring is rendered nearly powerless, and is left only with limited flight (though obviously enough to still fly to other planets), limited energy projection and constructs, and protection from the vacuum of space.
○ Lack of Hope: If the wielder of the ring loses hope, the power ring will cease to work

[General Information] Name: Original Name Forgotten, Alegar, Herman Braun Nicknames: None that he knows of outside of Alegar and Herman Titles: The Dark Sorceror, the King of Darkness (to the few who know of the legends made from his actions) Age: physically 29, mentally and chronologically 787 Birthday: On the Eve of Spring Star sign: Unknown/forgotten Gender: Male Race: Human Alliance: Anti-Villain Personality: A warrior and strategist at heart, he is one who chooses to view the field and lay the pieces out before he makes his move, keeping a calm outlook on the situation in order to ensure it all falls in place. He may also be brash at times when he has to make hasty decisions, or speaks bluntly on his ideas of matters due to how long he's lived his life and seen similar events play out. Along with this, he tends to toy with people when he faces them and they underestimate him, making observations on their attacks and movements while he anticipates their next move. Behind the warrior, however, is a scholar. When ask, he is willing to aid those who wish to know more, and holds a love in seeing people learn and grow through their actions.

Dominant Hand: Ambidextrous Strengths: Intimidating aura when serious, looks beyond the concepts of good and evil, strong presence, can talk his way out of a problem Weaknesses: tends to talk if he's fighting someone he's not serious against, lets his guard down when he's absolutely sure that he's won, tends to get lost in his past if he tells someone about it.
Cherished Items: An old Amulet that bears the symbols of Hades, Zeus and Poseidon on one side, while holding the Slavic gods upon the other. It was an amulet which his mother had made for him several years before the attack on the village, to symbolize his birth being a joining of two differing religions. This amulet rests within his home on the top of a desk, as a memento to why he continues on.
Philosophical/social viewpoint: He bears an understanding that good and evil must be at balance, but not to the point that order or chaos is absolute. He believes that in order for humanity to grow stronger as a species, it must face changes within the order of the world itself. This ideology was only solidified during his view over the Hundred Year War, watching heroes, villains, and warriors rise and fall in the battles that encompassed it. However, he still holds a need to protect the world itself, and will go out of his way to do so if he see's that there is no other choice. Because of this, he does only what he deems necessary while also causing the least amount of casualties, though there are some exceptions.
Religious viewpoint: He holds the belief that all the gods exist, and that each person chooses who they go to. This was only strengthened during his time when he witnessed the events of Wonder Woman's arrival and of the Greek Gods that had made her equipment. The path he follows, however, is the old Slavic paganism, back before the time of its fall from the Varangian courts.
Romantic viewpoint: Despite his own belief that there is someone for anyone if they search long enough, he feels that those who may have ended up being with him have long since passed from this world and has no plans to find love.
Biography To understand Alegar, we must go back, back to the time of the Knights of the Cross, the Teutonic Knights of old. Deep within a forested region in Lithuania was a village, where there resided a people who held belief's of the old gods. This village was composed of various people who wished to flee the weight of the cross had fled to, and had come from several different lands. Among these people was a young 18 year old man who was the son of a warrior chief and a mother who followed the Greek Gods. These people lived in peace, and worked in tangent to try and keep their way of life preserved. One day, however, a division of the Teutonic knights arrived during one of their festivals, demanding that the village convert to christendom for several days, all the while remaining among the outskirts of the village. When that failed, however, the knights turned to bloodshed. The warriors of the village and the people took up arms against these knights, but were easily overpowered as they were facing a professional army. By the end of it all, only two people of the village remained alive: the young man, and his father, both of which were prepared for execution.
The father was the first to die, being killed in the form of a Blood Eagle, an ancient execution that had been tarnished by the knights as the way of a scare tactic, never uttering a word as he looked to his son, dying with fear for the boy's life. As the knights prepared the boy for the same execution, however, he let out a shout into the sky. He called for the Greek God Erebos, the God of Darkness, to grant him freedom from the hands of this execution. He offered his life in return to being freed if this was done, which now hung on a thread as they moved him to a stand he would meet the same fate as his father.
What happened next, however, sealed his fate. The sun grew dark, and a black hole tore open under him, swallowing him up into a plain covered in darkness. He was soon enraptured in an unseeable force of the darkness, it's tendrils going into his wounds and pushing through them, causing him to writhe in agony from the pain as it seemed to also push into his mind. This torment lasted for an hour, and the boy thought he was to die then and there, but still he pressed against it. Then, with a loud cry, he pulled himself free of its grasp and landed upon the surface he had first arrived on. However, he found himself feeling the tendrils surrounding him again as he fell to his knees, the wounds he had from the battle now weighing him down from how they had been festered. However, what came instead of it's grasp again was a question, the voice echoing from everywhere in a low, but familiar tone:
"Do you wish for power to avenge those you've lost?" is what the voice had spoke, shocking the boy as he looked around the darkness, only to find nothing as he felt what seemed to be a slumbering presence loom upon him. Then he heard various voices whispering within the darkness, making him turn to find those of his people being killed around him, the events that led him near to his death bed playing as if in a recording of his memories as he closed his eyes to try to shut his gaze from it. Then, he reopened them, looking on as he felt a swelling anger in his chest, before he walked towards a memory of one of the knights that was about to cut through a child, slamming his fist into it's armor. He then heard a chuckle as the knight itself shattered, along with the entire area as he felt the voice that spoke to him speak within his mind. He would bear power over the darkness and in return he would mark the world with it's power, forging an understanding of the balance of light and darkness. This, he gladly accepted, and with it he took the title of Alegar through the darkness itself, stripping him of his former name.
With this new title, a deal had been struck, granting him unbelievable power over the darkness that reminded him of the tales of the heroes of old. With this power he took down the group of knights that had decimated his people, using an army of darkness that he commanded through it, and avenged them in a single night. After that, however, he found himself searching for what else to do now that it had been done. As he looked upon the rest of the knight order that the group was a part of, he knew that he wasn't able to do the same actions he did with the group, so he spent his time within the Shadowlands, learning and harnessing the power he could now command. When he had what he believed sufficient power, he turned his gaze upon them to find that the order had long since disbanded. This left him without a cause, and so he wandered the world, learning and understanding what he could as he learned more and more behind his power over the darkness.
His insight, however, came to him from the Hundred Years War, when he witnessed the shifts of power between France and England due to the actions of a single individual, a woman that he hadn't expected to last. Alegar came to the understanding that there must be an order of balance, between the concepts of the empires and governments of the world and how, when an empire tries to expand, the world forces a change into it that tries to halt the process through it. This was made with the actions of Joanne of Arc, as he saw when he was under the guise of a wandering merchant while watching the battle of Orlais.
With this in his mind, he decided to momentarily vanish from the world, overlooking the events of it from the abilities that he had mastered. He watched the events of the world from there on in as he worked upon forging several fail safes for when he would need to take it upon his own hands to change the balance of the world itself if it was forced to not accept it, and watched several events of history. During these events he joined in the fighting while rarely using his abilities outside of keeping himself alive, from joining the battles of the American Revolution to marching with troops through the Napoleonic wars. He even marched with the troops who charged up the beaches of Normandy during D day, witnessing the forces of the world in motion as he continued his own work upon it. He even witnessed the actions of the movements of the Great Darkness and it's joining with the Creator, completely shifting the balance of creation itself as he witnessed it in awe.
Now, he lives under the identity of a Professor Herman Braun, a history teacher who works in teaching at the University of California, and has accumulated his own form of a fortune through the centuries from selling coins and trinkets he had left from his travels through the various lands. His actions through time have made him a myth, a dark entity that has been called "King of Darkness" due to his command over it, and making him a form of idol to those who had also awakened the Great Darkness itself. Because of this, he made a book labeled "Legends in Darkness: The Dark King" that holds several tales that he's heard through the ages that have been based on his feats, along with a speculation and theory of all of them being the same person as each legend held features that were similar to each individual. Through his research into his own history and of the power he possesses, as well, he has learned that the voice he had heard was of his own mind reacting to the shadows, and that it was through his own will and power that he attained his abilities.
He has recently taken a position in the University as a teacher, and had planned to watch events for longer, planning to wait and see if the heroes grew to be more than what they were at the time. However, with the flashpoint paradox, his mind felt a twist within the darkness, a return to his old promise as he felt the bones and flesh that made up his body shake. There had been a rift formed in this world, and it would need to be filled by those who had the potential to become heroes and more, if given the right nudge. He would need to find a way to have these heroes surface, and rise to the occasion in order to stand above others and be an example for civilians to stand on their own feet, and to find their way.
Regardless of what he would have to do to ensure it.
[Relationship information] Friends: ○ Gaius Aurelius | Neutral | Minion forged from Darkness four hundred years ago, Gaius is a complete copy of Alegar himself and made as a master swordsman and strategist, being made as a double for times when Alegar's life is in potential danger. Bearing a will of his own, the minion serves Alegar to the letter, holding honor and one's word in high regard and not caring who or what he fights, so long as he defends and fights for the man who he is sworn to. His core, a small red gem that rests within him and shifts through his body, is the thing that keeps him alive and from dying outright, allowing him to take more damage than Alegar could and feigning death until the time he needs to appear.

[Weapon information] ○ The Kings Sword: forged two hundred years ago with the knowledge he possessed, this longsword is made of crucible steel, taking four days to forge and enchant within an ancient forge he had made within his current home. This blade is able to cut through several feet of metal that has tank armor covering it, having been enchanted by Alegar with Dark magic that allows its edge to stay sharp. The enchantment's also allow him to channel his powers through it, channeling them into a single black blade that can cut through both physical and ethereal entities, while also being able to use the blade as a focus point to fire any attacks from.
○ Gaius Aurelius: Born from Darkness, Gaius serves as Alegar's bodyguard and servant, being granted his own sword that Alegar himself had forged, while also bearing an uncanny resemblance to Alegar himself. As his copy, created four hundred years ago from Darkness with the same physical prowess as Alegar, Gaius is among one of his greatest assets, as his ability to look like Alegar is only one of two forms. His second form is a set of black armor, in which the gem that keeps him stable moves through his body quickly. His own abilities, while in either form, are minimized to four main abilities: -Umbrakinetic Teleportation, or the ability to use the darkness around him to allow himself to teleport to specific locations that Alegar requires him to be at. Due to he himself being forged from darkness, he is capable of vanishing into thin air without anyone realizing what had happened. With this, as well, he can hide and bring forth his weapon from the Shadowlands if he is required to. -Umbrakinetic attacks in which he can channel the darkness into his blade and fire a sword beam through each slash. He can also use this ability with one of his hands, but that is after concentrating for at least a minute into it. -Umbrakinetic manipulation in which he can use the darkness to create a large fog around himself, allowing him to move through it in a flurry and speed that can seem godlike, while also strengthening his body to allow him to take on a multitude of enemies while retaining his flexibility, the most he himself has faced alone being fifty-three soldiers with guns. Outside of this, he can only form as much as a shield for use if he requires it with his sword, or a second melee or ranged weapon (sword, axe, or bow and arrows) if he requires it. -Darkness Conduit, which means that while Alegar himself is in command of Gaius' body, he can use a fair amount of his abilities that would normally be restricted from Gaius himself.
[Other item information] ○ The Dark Forest: Within the area of the former village that he lived in, where few humans dare to venture, lies a small mansion that compares in splendor to the old roman cities, a mixture of greek, roman and northern styling that makes the mansion stand out within the forest. This forest the mansion lies within is a place planted by him and nurtured, both physically and magically, for several hundred years, and has remained untouched despite the wars that waged around it. Any who have dared to venture into it soon find themselves back at the entrance, the magics worked within it's growth clouding the direction they go. Only those who have been led through, or those who know the magics within it, may be able to enter to the mansion, which in itself is unable to be opened without the power of darkness that Alegar possesses.
○ The Eye of Erebus: a silver ring with a black gem in the center, the gem itself too small to notice unless you looked hard on it. this item can allow him to recharge in his abilities if he uses up his power at full, though only enough to allow him to defend and escape. Once it is used, however, the gem planted in it will break and render it unusable until a full day has passed with it sitting in complete darkness, by which time the gem will return. This item is always a last second precaution, and is only ever used sparingly.
○ War: A horse as black as the night itself, it is a war horse that has been with Alegar since the very beginning, being a mare that he took into the Shadowlands which partook in living within the lands itself. This put the horse and Alegar into having a connection that allows the two to communicate, while granting each the ability to teleport to where the other is at. Because of this, the horse can tell if Alegar is in danger, and will ride to his aid and allow him to escape upon it. The horse's speed is beyond that of a normal horse, bearing enough speed to match a small plane while also able to maneuver through areas with ease.
○ Alegars Coat: Though it may not look it at first glance, his coat bears it's own magical properties. Within it is an enchantment that allows him to carry a vast array of items, each pocket itself leading to several areas within the Shadowlands. Because of this, he could easily carry items without anyone noticing them, as well as his own sword which he keeps within the inside pocket on the left side of his jacket.
○ Creature Catalysts/Dark Cores: Gems Alegar has infused with darkness, he can use these to enhance the strength and durability of his minions when he creates them by placing them within the creatures, while at the same time lengthening the time these creatures are up so long as they bear the gems inside of their bodies. When placed, it becomes both a creature's weakness and strongest asset since it becomes the source of their manifestation. Alegar himself keeps five of these on him at a time that are made for simple commands, while he holds one stronger gem for creatures he needs to be at their peak. When removed from a creature after it is destroyed, however, these gems are rendered completely useless, a black sphere being all that remains within the gem itself. Due to the power emanating off of them, as well, they are unable be touched or have anything stick to their surface for long amounts of time. Because of this, they lose any fingerprints that may be on them and end up untraceable.
[Ability information]
○ Darkness Embodiment: due to his connection to the Shadowlands, he bears the complete control over the darkness in order to do as he pleases with it, granting him abilities and powers beyond the strength of others if he focus' his abilities into it. While he doesn't bear his wide array of abilities outside of the Shadowlands, he can channel what power he has to grant him the same strength as he bears for a time. This allows him to enhance his array of abilities to their highest potential output, but can only be done when he is adamant on this and is willing to push his body beyond it's known limits. This does, however, come with a price: while he may be able to do this for a time, though indefinite in the Shadowlands, he can only use these abilities for a max time of ten minutes while outside of the dark plain, this depending on the amount of power he has at the time. Along with this, he will be unable to use his abilities for a half hour because of the amount of power that surges through him all at once, and will render his body near exhausted through this output. Because of this, it is a last resort ability when he is outside of the Shadowlands.
○ Darkness Armor and Shapeshifting: Alegar can craft a suit of mystical body armor about himself which makes him invulnerable and increases his strength and endurance to their peak. Along with this, he can manipulate it to change its shape at will. He can fashion blades, protective spikes, hammerfists, and chains, allowing him more weapons than just his own sword. Alegar can also use this armor to change his appearance, including his voice and mannerisms. Against light based attacks, however, this armor can only last around five to eight hits before chipping away.
○ Darkness Enhancements: With his affinity to the darkness, he can use it to allow himself to gain superhuman abilities, which he has spent a good amount of his time to try to master. Because of the amount of time he's spent, he's gained abilities above those who have held a similar affinity to the darkness, but he knows that he still has far to go with the potential possible. These abilities that he has gained are the next set that are after this. He does, however, only use these enhancements when he faces super humans themselves, otherwise he will stick to only twice or three times his natural abilities.
○ Durability: while using his control over darkness, he can channel the darkness to strengthen his body to the point that he can take the same amount of damage as a tank shot without getting any more than a bruise from it. The max for this ability, however, can rival those of atlantean and amazonian physiology, and possibly higher if he has need for it.
○ Super Strength: while using his control over darkness, Alegar's strength becomes superhuman. He has the ability to shatter wood and stone, crush metal, and lift cars with ease. He can stand against and even overpower other supernatural beings with a strength that can be around 150 tons of force if he's channeled into it long enough (his concentration needing to be around thirty to forty-five seconds). While with his other abilities, however, the amount of damage he can do is dropped to 100 tons, whereas the light out right halves the force of his attacks.
○ Super Speed: while using his control over darkness, he can channel it to where he can increase his speed to be faster than most vehicles, ranging at speeds of 150 mph. When mixed with his super strength, this is reduced to be 100 mph in both running and fighting at max, his actions while fighting against actual opponents ranging around 50-70 unless he's forced to act serious. While in the sunlight or a bright space, however, his speed is reduced to 50 mph at max due to the source of his abilities, the darkness and shadows, being scarce in these conditions.
○ Super Senses: Alegar has a sharper sense of sight than Humans due to his control over the darkness within his own body. this also allows his hearing and reaction time to increase as well, this extent itself being able to hear past doors that are soundproof if he concentrates hard enough.
○ Nightvision: Due to his affinity to the darkness, he can harness it to the point where he can see clearly at night, even in total darkness.
○ Longevity: As one of the few whose life has tied itself to the Shadowlands, he has attained the ability to call his power in a form that allows him to prolong his life and rejuvenate himself, while also keeping his body in peak physical condition. This can, however, only be done in the Shadowlands themselves due to his connection to them, which has him remain in that realm for the periods he has trained.
○ Umbra-kinetic Creature Creation: due to his connection to the primordial darkness, Alegar has an ability to create different creatures with the darkness itself. This is what allowed him to use an army of darkness during his attack on the squadron of knights who had decimated his village, and has only grown in power as he has aged. Though Gaius is one of these creatures, a majority of them do not bear the free will to move outside of a simple command or what they were designed for. In total, Alegar himself can forge a total ten small minions that can be at least half a meter in height that are weak to a single hit while being fast, three moderate sized creatures that can rest at 1-2 meters in height while being able to take hits that can average a humans defenses, or one massive one that can scale up from ten to twenty meters, it in itself only able to be taken down by strong opponents. These creatures can be any form that he wishes to imagine them in, but only have a time limit of three to four minutes if he hasn't spent the required time to give them a core. Outside of this fact, he bears the ability to communicate to all of his creations telepathically, and can command them through this alone unless the terms of their creations call otherwise.
○ Dark Core Creation: In order to create a minion that lasts, he must forge a catalyst that acts as a core for the being, a gem from the Earth imbued with the power of darkness. Once this is placed within a creature, it allows the beings which are imbued with the gem a will that coincides to the purpose the gem was made for. It takes a day in order to do so, and during this time he can make a total of four gems at max. However, the higher the number of gems made limits the amount of freedom the creature it's imbued with has, along with it's ability to move without Alegar himself commanding it. Gaius himself was imbued with a diamond four hundred years ago, the gem itself turning red after taking a full month for Alegar to ensure it's power to be as strong as possible, making Gaius among his most resilient creatures. At the moment, he carries five cores on him for simple commands at the moment, with three full powered stones that he carries with him.
○ Darkness Manipulation: As he has command of the darkness, he can shape shadows and the darkness itself into any weapon or object he may wish. This can include guns, swords, bows, and even bombs, while also including a ramp or stairway, or a wall of defense. These abilities also allow him to summon a fog, make illusionary images, or create obstacles for those who try to reach him. However, this ability is limited in the light to a three meter radius, limiting his defenses and options greatly.
○ Dark Arts: During his time in control of darkness, he has focused his time in understanding both the concept of the darkness along with the abilities of magic based upon harnessing the darkness itself. Because of this, he bears a form of mastery in the ancient dark magics used by his predecessors, and can use these abilities to view areas of the world or people that he wishes to learn more on. Focusing only on the old magics in forging and enchanting, along with the ability to use the darkness as a looking glass or communication array, he can use these magics to devastating effects.
○ Dark Arts: Weapon forging: As a warrior and a son of a warchief, this was the very first magic that he learned through the darkness itself through channeling the darkness itself. With it, he can forge weapons to be ten times stronger than their max capacities, while also retaining their edges for longer periods of time. To add to this, he can increase it's potency by placing markings laced with darkness into the weapons in question, allowing them heightened effects while in the dark or allowing them a better way of channeling abilities they're used to. It was through this art that he managed to create his sword, which is the pinnacle of his abilities through it.
○ Dark Arts: Enchanting: the second ability he had learned through is training through darkness, this allows him the ability to enchant items into various kinds of things, from holding their own pocket dimensions like his coat to creating an item which can change shape. It does not come cheap, however, as it takes him a great deal of time to enchant these items to their needed specifications, the average time for simple enchantments being two days submerged in darkness after he has laid the enchantments in. His own coat took three months to create, itself, and is by far the strongest enchantment he's made. Therefore, he only uses this when he needs to, and when he has the time necessary to do so.
○ Dark Arts: Communication: The third and final ability he mastered through the dark arts, he holds the ability to use the darkness as a form of communication. He does this through concentrating on imagining a glass panel in front of him, and the item acting like a looking glass for him to see and communicate with whoever he wishes to speak to. This panel itself can vary in size, from being one foot to a three feet radius. It does, however, require his complete concentration, so he cannot fight while using this.
○ Indomitable Mind: As was key for him to take control of the darkness in such a form as he did when wounded from the events of his village, his mind has the ability to push against even the strongest of forces trying to take it over. Because of this, he is not as susceptible to mind control as many others.
○ Darkness Teleportation: as one who can control the powers of darkness, and one who has traveled the world several times over, he has the ability to teleport to where he wishes with ease. This is, however, limited to the factor of how long he has to concentrate upon an area, and can only go to areas which he has been to several times, which has been limited to the major cities of America and a majority of the cities in Europe and Asia. Outside of this, he can easily teleport himself and different objects around him if he has the freedom to do so, and can concentrate in the middle of a battle to escape near unwinnable odds.
○ Swordsmanship (mastery): Born as a warrior, he has trained himself tooth and nail in becoming a great swordsman in his own right, his skill with a sword being among his strongest suits.
○ Creature Possession: As he holds the ability to create physical creatures, he also bears the ability to take over their bodies and move his mind from his own body to theirs, allowing him to move around with them as he pleases. He has used this ability several times with Gaius when he has potential fear for his life, which has proven true on several occasions over the centuries.
○ Strategic Mind: with insight he has accumulated over the centuries, he bears the mind of a general and can use this to outmaneuver people when he has to. With this he implicates the actions of historical battles that it may remind him of, tossing his own spin into the mix of it in order to ensure either a victory, draw, or a retreat with minimal losses.
○ High Intellect and Wisdom: having lived for over seven centuries and learning through the time he's spent on earth, he holds one of the brightest minds of his time while also having the insight to know if an action would prove beneficial or not.
○ Umbrakinetic blasts: with the darkness around him or under his own clothes, he can shoot small blasts of dark energy that can deal devastating damage to people if concentrated enough. He can even concentrate them into beams if he uses a finger or two. However, in the light this is only to the point that it can blast people back or shake them, limiting his damage with these abilities by a severe margin.
○ Martial Arts (master): learning under the various forms of hand to hand combat, from the shaolin monks to the old greek fighting styles used by Alexander the great, he has formed his own way of fighting that fits his own form of combat, allowing him more leeway through his fighting if needed.
○ Weapon Mastery: Having fought in multiple wars, Alegar has an understanding of multiple weapons that he's used, be it from a bow to a rifle, from a slingshot to a pistol.
○ Healing: While in the Shadowlands, he is able to heal himself of wounds sustained in battle or by facing others. However, he cannot heal himself outside of the shadowlands itself, even when using the full scale of his abilities.
○ Multilingualism: as he has spent over seven hundred years on Earth, he has taken his time in learning close to every language he could in Europe, Northern Africa, Asia, and even North and South America. due to this, there are very few languages that he doesn't know on earth itself, with an example of this being his inability to understand Atlantean and several other languages.
[Weakness information]
○ Connection to the Shadowlands: As he has tied his soul to the Shadowlands and the Great Darkness themselves, his power is tied to those lands. Because of this, however, he is unable to use his powers to the degree he can in the Shadowlands and is limited in the variations of abilities he uses. This limitation places him only able to heal himself after a long amount of time, unable to create any creatures any bigger than a mouse or bird, and only able to use his ability to create objects that can only last for a minute if he isn't having direct contact with them. However, his abilities over the darkness are still heightened when it is nightfall or if he's within a cavern or tunnel without light, making him still among the deadliest forces you can face.
○ Weakness to Light: As he has remained within the Shadowlands for long periods of time, he has gained a weakness to light magic and light based attacks. As such, weapons and attacks that have been imbued with or are concentrated light can damage him to where he can't immediately heal from them, while highly concentrated beams can end with wounds that can potentially kill him, though his own armor can be able to defend against a few hits of this magnitude. The only way for these wounds to heal is either naturally or by him returning to the Shadowlands to be encompassed by the shadows there. Along with this, he can be rendered powerless if held under high powered beams of light for a long period of time with little to no shadow, though he can still communicate to War and Gaius through his own mind due to his link with them.
○ Creature possession: While he has control over his minions while he possesses them, he bears no connection to his body and can't move until he returns to it. This also makes him liable to being killed or knocked out, making it a key moment for someone to take him out if they wanted.
○ Energy consumption: While it is true that his abilities are vast in their own right, they have their own faults as they use up what energy he himself has. while in the Shadowlands, this is near miniscule. However, while out on Earth itself, he can only maintain his abilities for a total of eight hours before needing to eat or refuel his abilities. When he's using his full abilities, however, he can only maintain it for ten minutes at most, after which he cannot use his abilities until he either eats or waits for thirty minutes for his abilities to return. If he tries to use his abilities during this wait time and actually manages it, however, the after effects WILL be fatal, if not near.
○ Enemies in Light: as a user of darkness, it is only natural that his enemies are those who are of Light Manipulation or of Light Embodiment.
○ Repercussions of using his full abilities: He can only use his full abilities without restriction for ten minutes outside of the Shadowlands without rest, but the moment those ten minutes are up is when he is vulnerable. He will be unable to use his abilities for a full half hour, making him open to being attacked and killed if he hasn't laid waste to his enemies or has escaped by then.

"However, if I was given the chance to do it all over, with keen knowledge as to what would occur, I'd probably do it again in order to see history play out in front of me, to see humanity at both it's brightest and darkest moments all over again..." OOC: Dark Cores: 4/4 basic 1/1 focused
