 This is the Kat/Ace side of things like Saia's RP area and will start off as Ace and Kat first meeting. Ace had been at the school for about two weeks after his parents dropped him off. He wasn't making friends that well and there were few students at that. He had been spending his time in his room for the most part. Even worse was that there was a little canary that kept attacking him as he entered a certain part of the school. He had been sitting on one of the outside benches as he watched the other kids around the school play and talk.Possible Theme: The Last Night

Kat had been unceremoniously dropped off at the school under the presence of attending a camp. Packed to enjoy the great outdoors, it took her only one look at hexes iron gates to figure out what her family had really done. She was young, but not stupid. She'd heard the rumors from her old classmates.
"Fine, get out of here. Who needs ya!?!!" She yelled at the truck that sped away, making her cough from the dust it kicked up. She threw her hat at them, a souvenir from her sister who had brought from her band trip to Disneyland. She was so furious, she didn't even care that her red streaked blond pigtails were coming undone as she tugged out the bobbled ties and continued chucking her momemtos away at her family. The tear streaks went unnoticed as she took to chucking rocks, despite knowing they were well out of her range.

Ace had seen what was going on and it was quite common to see now as children had been dropped off every now and again. The teachers would soon find her and get her the help she needed so none of the students paid mind right now, but Ace still didn't like it. He ran up to the girl and tried to calm her down blocking her path to throw things at and was hit a couple times.
"Hey now, I know it sucks.... My parents did it too, but don't worry you are here with us other like you. We know adults can't be trusted and are looking out for each other. My name is Ace. I was dropped off two weeks ago and I.... Again." He looked at the girl with a sigh as time had stopped. He realized that she had only heard his first sentence so he picked her things up and brought them back to her waiting for time to speed up. Time started again and he smiled "My name is Ace, what is yours?!"

Kat stopped throwing rocks when she realized all she was doing was pelting a boy who stood in the way. Wiping her nose on the back of her hand, she tried to keep back the tears of anger and pain. How could they abandon her like that? Did they not love her anymore? Had she done something so bad that her family didn't want her? Father always talked about protecting each other, wasn't this pretty much the opposite? Then she realized, maybe that was what they were doing.
" I'm Katanna, but my friends call me Kat," she said, letting the stone fall to the ground. Ace, he called himself, made her laugh at his unfettered cheer. It was nice to know that at least she wasn't alone in this. She agreed about never trusting adults again.
Then she saw the things in his hands, her hat and hair ties. She hadn't seen him move to grab them, but there they were.
" Can you do magic too?" She asked.

Ace put the things in to her bag and hugged her tightly wiping one of the tears away "It's ok, now. I was told hugs make everything better and smiled happily at her laugh. "I am glad I can make you laugh, I know it must be hard right now, but don't worry, we will get through it and yes all us kids here can do magic!~ I don't like mine though as I think it is annoying... Though I lied to the adults about it." He says releasing the hug and looking at her.
Here let me help you with your stuff to the office, the adults here will get your room and stuff. We don't trust them, but they are the ones who are watching over us." He grabs a bag and with a heave and a grunt "Eeeeehhhh." He finally gets it up and on his back. "To be honest I haven't made any friends yet..." He says shyly looking at her.

"Thanks, it does," she agreed, sniffing away more tears. She held her few possessions tightly, her world shrinking to what was left of all she loved and new. Part of her wanted to continue to cry, to fall apart. But a much larger part of her took heart when Ace explained that everyone here was with her.
"We're all thrown away," she said as if she couldn't believe it.Seeing how this spryly boy tried to lift her bag made her laugh, his comical expression helping to ease her tension. However when he mentioned taking her to more adults, she snagged the strap and pulled to make him stop.
"I don't want to stay here though. Why should any of us? We don't need the grownups, remember?"

Ace looked at her and frowned for a second before smiling again "Yes, we don't need them, but we are still under them unfortunately. It's like a really big school here and once done with classes and recess we can do what we want!" He says trying to convince her. "We gotta listen and do what they say ok. So Kat let's hurry so we can play together, come on!" He says waving his arm in the direction and huffing it with the bag.

"School?" She groaned in response. Here she was, all packed for an adventure in the great outdoor, and instead she'd been abandoned at a school. Santa hated her, she decided. He must have decided that she was so naughty that he was sending a whole years' worth of coal vibes.
However, hearing that the adults were all teachers made her less resistant. Afterall, teachers were just really big little kids. They understood and looked out for kids. She followed behind Ace, her hand still on the strap, but more as a way to not lose him as he lead her through the grounds.
"We can do whatever we want?" She asked incredulously. Speeding up so that she could walk beside him, Kat looked at Ace, a challenge in the sparkle of her eyes.
" Can we build a club house?"

"Well as long as we don't hurt others and leave the school area, but that is part of the woods... Uhh yea that sounds awesome!" He says happily as he drags her into the office room where teachers and students alike were doing paperwork and administrative duties.
One of the teachers looks over to see the two and see all the items realizing what had happened so she came over patted Ace's head and looked to Kat "Hello, I see you're new, let's go talk inside there for a little while okay? Ace can you watch her things?" She asked and Ace nodded giving Kat a thumbs up "I got it bud!"

Kat didn't have time to reply to Aces comment about hurting others before a friendly looking receptionist escorted her to an office room. She looked back at him, unsure at first, but upon seeing his reassuring nod, she squared her shoulders and walked in. It wasn't like she had much choice in the matter, but at least she had one ally, at least she hoped he was.
" I'll be back in a blink. Then we can start on that fort," she promised.
Kat entertained the idea of this all being one big hoax. Like those reality TV shows. Someone will pop out, say she's been punked and that her family was right there, laughing and saying saying that it was all a joke. It almost made her hopeful, at least til she sat in one of the chairs and began talking to the nice lady. Reality, she discovered, wasn't as kind and forgiving.

It seemed like forever and a day until the girl had come back out and in reality it took a few hours. Apparently they had to do paperwork and discuss new arrival things and class planning. Luckily they planned her with Ace so that the two of them would be in every class together this year. He found this out when she came out and told him, but was ecstatic to know so. It was late unfortunately and the sun was setting.
Hey Kat, let's take these to your room and then talk about the fort... If you want we can do a sleepover..." He says blushing and trying not to sound awkward. The counselor had already left her in his hands for now and he was happy to help.

Kat looks considerably worn out by the time she was registered in their systems, set up with classes and a dorm. At first she had tries to insist that they try contacting her parents, made them promise to at least talk to them, convince them to take her home. Then she started to recognize that placating look that grownups get them they say they'll do sething, but its just to get kids to shut up. She was down trodden, but angry at the same time. Why do I have to be here? She kept thinking, turning it over, but no answer to the mystery presented itself.
" Hey, " she greeted Ace when it was all said and done.With a set of keys for her room in hand, she walked with him to the single building that housed the students who had arrived so far.
" They allow sleepovers?" She asked when they found her door. Opening the door slowly, she peered in tentatively. Within was the essentials, including a few blankets folded at the end of the bed.
"Maybe this is like a summer camp after all," mused with a giggle.

"I don't see why not. I mean what could we do that is bad in a room together?" He says still simple minded and not really knowing why adults wouldn't want a boy and girl to sleep in the same room. He placed her stuff down and looked around "It looks like my room. I heard they are ecks...excp... Making the buildings bigger in the future!" He says finally getting his meaning across.
"I have a game and some comics if you want me to go grab them and bring them over. What do you wanna do? It is the weekend so we don't have classes until Monday." He says happily.

"I have no idea," she admitted. Kat thought about ace's words, trying to imagine it too. Her parents always forbade it, and since most of her childhood friends were boys, it made for lonely late night get togethers. Then the thought of all her parents made her angry all over again. Who are they to boss me around when they don't even want me, she thought. She kicked the post of her bed in frustration, then hopped around, howling in pain and holding her foot for a few seconds.
"Yea, let's have a sleepover!" She decided, determined to defy her parents at every possible turn from them on.
"This place is like a house of fun cards," she exclaimed after letting her foot go. " Its gonna get bigger and has no parents to boss us around!" When her new friend asked what she wanted to do, she amiled.
"Everything."

Ace laughed as she hurt herself and was caugh up in her enthusiasm. "Alright I will be right back then ok." He says running out the door to go grab his things. Returning a few minutes later he had games, pillow, and blanket in hand. "Alright I think I have everything, but the snacks heh hee" He says with glee.
He sat next to Kat and rubbed his eyes for a second "I hate my power sometimes... I tell the adults it's teleportation, but it isn't and makes me wait a long time."
