So I just was in the "Ask The Staff" and apparently we did get "compensation" for our rings. Still nothing for powerups, they are blaming the holidays for that even though they said in November they would have refunds in a week.
My level 10 rings are worth .05 gold. I can't even tell you how pissed I am.
I also asked if they were planning or even hoping for a new MMO, and all I got was some jackass telling me they wasted so much time and money on zOMG why would they?
Ever since this zOMG thing happened I have wanted to throw my arms up in the air and say, "F this, I'm out." But me trying to be this positive person and hold on to the guild I tried to see the good in Gaia. But the only good left on this site is a few people who stuck around.
For now, I am cutting off all Gaia Cash, again. :/ I am no longer going to do the animal eyes thread or a whole lot in our giveaway.
The only thing I care about on Gaia now is this guild. It's time for me to find a new hobby. I find myself staring at the screen or re-dressing my avatar forever with nothing to do here.
I still want to keep the guild going, and after I get over being pissed off I want to stick with my resolution of improving the guild. For now, I check my notifications then log off. Gaia has made me mad so many times it's ridiculous.
I honestly don't know if I should stay or not. I guess I have a lot of thinking to do.

I've done a lot of thinking today and I'm pretty sure I am going to quit. The guild isn't even doing very well, I am holding on to a dream. Most of my friends have either flat out quit or never get on. It's sad to leave after being here 10 years, but this site doesn't deserve my time anymore. I'm going to give it some more thought. But I am leaning more towards leaving.

Spenelli I love the guild too.. I just don't know if I love it more than I hate Gaia. xD I understand your frustration. When I first returned to Gaia I was beyond pissed at the whole inflation thing. During my earlier years on Gaia I had worked hard to become a millionaire and be able to afford pretty much anything I wanted. Then I returned after a couple of years to find my millions weren't worth peas! Eventually I decided to give Recolor a go. Everyone was raving about it so I thought 'why not?' I had fun dressing my avi there for a while but it just wasn't the same. I realised what I really loved about Gaia (other than making gold and avis) was the community and particularly the guilds! Gaia was there for me when I was alone, bored and depressed and the reason I had returned in the first place was that I remembered how much it helped to have the people I met on Gaia. People who were there for me, helped me see things differently, chatted and joked with me, and became like a family to me. So I came back to Gaia. Of course all the guilds I was a part of were pretty much dead so I went searching for new guilds. Most were RP guilds or hadn't been active in over a year but eventually I found this guild. I thought 'This is perfect! This will be my new family... and what a great idea for a guild! With all the negativity on the internet what an amazing idea to have a little sanctuary of positivity!' So I have decided that I don't care if Gaia's new management seems to be deliberately running the site into the ground, I am going to hold onto what is good about Gaia. What I love! heart heart heart Phew sweatdrop That was an essay/life story!

Lady Freya73 well i will miss you if you do leave but if your not enjoying it here then maybe you need a break from things for awhile ?? I think I did need a break from all the responsibility. The contest thread and my animal eyes thread became a chore lately. I've paused the contests and given up my animal eyes. Once I get out of my rut I want to start the contests back up. I just can't leave Gaia, even when they do make me mad all the time, haha. I think I need to learn to step back and really think about things sometimes. And taking a break from Gaia every now and then isn't so bad.

The people here are worth sticking around for and I like helping to shape the community. Plus I have fond memories of this place.... I still love Gaia xp

Cinderful *Sigh* This site has had such a lull. I PM someone and dont get a response for days emotion_facepalm It's like everyone is asleep emotion_donotwant Yeah... they really killed their fanbase. I don't feel the same about Gaia as I used to.
