~ Hakado Valley~
A Harvest Moon RP

A long time ago, the Harvest Goddess used to bring lush gardens, delicious crops, and beautiful weather. But that time is long gone. Farmers have moved out, causing people to move out to, but you see hope in this town. You want to bring the Goddess back. Heck, along the way, you might even get married, have kids, or get filthy rich! What will you be?

~ Rules~
To create order
1. Romance is encouraged strongly but follow ToS. Pg 16 which means cybering is off limits. And if you're undressing to go take a shower or change clothes then please don't go into too much details. We need drama in here as well to keep it alive. Also no falling in love on the first day. It takes time!
2. PM me all profiles saying what part you play in the village [Farmer, Blacksmith, Bartender, etc.]
3. Anime pics please
4. Be kind to your fellow rpers.
5. Violence is OK, but nothing super gory, and no killing without consent from the other person but why would you kill? seriously? So by fighting i mean fist fights but please not all the time.
6. Semi Lit to Lit. No **'s for actions. Try to spell and use correct grammar the best you can, but if you can't spell, you can't spell and I won't criticize. Just try your best. And make each post as a paragraph of 7 to 8 sentences. More than that is fine too
7. Use (())'s or [[]]] for OOCs. Please don't use OOC in every post. I want this guild to look good. If you really want to do OOC then ask for an OOC thread please. If not then please retain from using OOC
8. Send all Profiles to me!
9. Have fun!
10. And make your posts pretty and all that junk. I'm not talking about twenty million pics. I am talking bout one or two pics and some coloring and whatever else you want to throw in.
11. I or one of the captains say when the days change! No arguments about it either!
12. Please try your hardest to talk in 3rd person. It is a lot easier that way.

The reason for the shortened profile that excludes a lot of information, is so that the characters may now develop over time rather than everyone know each others back stories. Everyone who comes into the town is unknown and it will take time to learn each others secrets. So unless your character is an open book, don't tell us everything in the first hundred or so pages. Development is key in this reboot.

When posting, include where your character is, who is with them, and The level of friendship with that character. I do not care how it is done, but include it somewhere in your post layout so that everyone can see.

~The Valley~

User Image

The valley is quite small and because of this, most if not all the shops are also the owners (and sometimes the assistant's) home. Many of the buildings are two to even three stories, with the Inn being the largest with six stories. Things may seem a bit cramped, but life is not impossible this way and company is almost always appreciated.

Town Hall: The workplace and home of the Mayor. Town Hall resembles more of a mansion than an actual official building, at least on the outside. Inside it is cluttered with office supplies, desks, computers and various machines every where. The Hall's main lobby is where the town's business goes down. The other rooms, however, look like they belong to that of a billionaire. While the Mayor is not rich, the building is with a long standing legacy dating back to hundreds of years ago (with minor improvements over the years of course). It is a fully stocked home with plenty of rooms for the Mayor and all his workers should they choose to live with him rather than the Inn. Town Hall sits in the very center of the valley, right in the middle of Town Square.

The Station: The station is old and in need of quite a few repairs. It isn't completely useless though. The Station includes both the Police Station, fit with holding cells and two rooms for the Chief and a fellow officer as well as a main office. It's a bit cramped, having to share the office with the Fire Chief and Fireman, but the rooms are quite sizeable. The Fire Station side of the Station has room for both their gear, the truck (which is a bit outdated) and two rooms.

The Doctor's Office: This decrepit, old building makes you shudder as you take a look at it's barren and frightening façade, but inside you feel as if you're standing in your own home. It's not your usual sterile white office, with it's oak floors and shelves lined with books on medicine. It's machines are a bit older, but you feel safe inside. Along with the bottom floor, there is a basement and a second floor which are housing for the Doctor and their Nurse.

The Flower Shop: The newest and possibly loveliest building in the entire valley, the Flower Shop brings a smile to everyone's face. It's delightful aromas attract everyone to admire it. Inside the shop is full of lovely household flowers and various plants for sale that day. Of course, the back room, the greenhouse, also has various plants for sale such as fruit trees and the like. Living space for the Owner is located on the upper floor while the Florists assistant must live in the inn with the limited space.

The Inn: The largest building in the valley, and possibly the most well kept. As it houses most of the valley's residents, the Inn is nearly always priority when it comes to repairs and upkeep. The six floors of the Inn make it seem more like and apartment building rather than an Inn, but it still gives off that homey feeling. The many rooms of this large building are moderate apartments, perfect for living in.

The Ranch: Please provide a description of your Ranch.

The Farm: Please provide a description of your Farm.

The Vineyards: Please provide a description for the Vineyards.

The Café: Much like the Flower Shop, the café is fairly new. Though no where near as lovely as the Flower Shop, the Café attracts everyone in the mornings and around lunch time. While small in size the café is big in flavor from it's coffee to it's breakfast meals and lunch. It is a favorite hangout spot in the valley. The upper floor of the café, the home, is not much larger than an apartment, but it is enough.

The Tavern: As the Café closes, residents occupy their time until the Tavern opens it's doors. With drink, food, and entertainment aplenty, this is the favorite place during the nightly hours. With karaoke, pool tables, darts, drinking, and a great place to socialize, the Tavern is the place to be. It has an old fashioned wooden décor that puts everyone at ease after a hard days work. The second floor is the owner's place of residence while the help lives at the Inn.

The Blacksmith: One of the older buildings in the Valley, the Blacksmith is also one of the larger buildings with a warehouse attached to it. The Blacksmith shop is also the carpentry shop, the one place to go for repairs unless you opt for help outside of the Valley. The Blacksmith's forge is in the back room, while the shop is upfront. There's so much sawdust everywhere you would think it's part of the décor. The upstairs housing area has room for two to live here.

The Fisherman's Hut: A hut is just about right. This building is old, falling apart, and hardly ever used. The hut is mainly used for holding the fishing equipment for the fisherman who lives on his boat which is usually docked on the beach. For those who want fish, they speak directly to the fisherman who will acquire the order when he can and personally deliver it.

The Beach: Another favorite location in the Valley, the beaches golden sands and volleyball court are perfect during the summer time. Let's not forget the waves that are nearly perfect for surfing. A pit for bonfires is located near the dock.

The Goddess's Spring: The legend of the Spring says that the beautiful Harvest Goddess resides here. Those wishing to appease her throw gifts into the spring. Regardless of what the gifts are they will sink into the Spring and vanish. It's a mystery that no one questions. Of course, the Goddess is just a legend, but many like to think the Spring is good luck.

~Welcome to the Valley~

Ahem. Hi, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Robert Jones. I am the Mayor of this little... town? I see that you wish to live here in the Valley and besides a few little papers that need to be signed, you are all set. Here are the keys to your home. Right now there isn't a whole lot to the town, but the more people that come the more things will open up. I would love to give you a tour, but I am very busy with quite a bit of paperwork. Here's a map, I've taken the liberty of labeling everything for you, which means I made one and simply used my copy machine to save time. That's all I have for you. Again, welcome to the valley. Hope your life here is a lovely one. Good day.
