 Her paws moved slowly through the thick snow, the wind was strong and she could feel the tug on her fur. North...the wind was blowing strong north and the fast pick up in the wind told her there would be a storm tonight. She knew she would have to make for cover and soon, without sight she was not as able to travel during a storm. However her experience kept her pushing on, ever since she was born she was born without the gift to see. To many she was taunted and treated like she was weaker but they did not know how much stronger this made her other senses. Her ears were sharp to pick up the lightest of sounds even the sound of a leaf falling on the snow. Her smell was heightened and she could smell prey sooner then any others when they hunted. Year after year she would choose to wander and travel alone to build up her senses. She would not be called weak, she would survive this storm.
As she wandered using the wind and ground to guide her she remembered when she was alone at a young age. She remembered the bitter cold, darkness, and starvation. Finally after a few days she knew what had happened and decided to brave the unknown alone. She tried to find food and water and it was only time before she grew to weak and her blindness too much of a handicap when she appeared. She remembered that night so well when she was curled up letting the cold and hunger slowly take her life when she heard something. It was unmistakable, the sound of paws crunching on snow. She was to weak to move and she soon felt teeth grip around her neck.
Whack.
In her thoughts she had drifted and she tripped over a rock and fell forward her body hitting the ground. Without a second to spare she picked herself up and shook the snow from her fur. She was normally careful and this land was unforgiving. She knew better then to let her attention wander, that could be the price of her life.
As she moved she finally heard a sound in the distance that was familiar. The hollow swirl of wind in a empty space. This usually led her to tunnels and caves and she made her way carefully that way. As she crept closer the wind in the space became louder. A cave. With relief she pushed her way past the cold and out of the bitter wind, their was instant relief from the caves walls. She could hear the loud wind below her but the cold did not reach her inside. Here she would rest for the night and continue when the storm had passed. She made her way down slowly, signing as she went to hear how far her voice traveled. She stopped when she heard the small trickle of water going down a cave wall and into a little puddle. She lowered herself to take a few laps at the cool iciness. She felt it flow down her throat with relief.

The snow and wind thrashed around mercilessly like a wolf trying to escape from its capture’s chains. The howl that tore through the white and grey landscape not only carried the song of the wind, but the call of a Magus that travelled with anger and purpose. Most, the smarter of the creatures, would have found shelter from the winter storm, but the Ice Magus had no intention of huddling away until the storm’s death. Instead, his large white paws carried him through the mountains with little knowledge of where he was heading, just that he had wherever he needed to be to verify the information he had heard floating around the capital city.
Something or someone was finding its way into the Ice territory, and this something or someone was no Ice tribe member. It looked the part of a B’alam. It moved like a B’alam. But it looked nothing like those who called the harsh mountains their home. This did not sit well with Loki. Why had they risked traveling the mountains to enter his land? They obviously didn’t know where the capital was, and if they did they didn’t want anything with him or his people, at least not yet. Maybe the B’alam of the lands were just seeing things. Either way, he wanted to make sure by surveying his land with his own eyes.
Green eyes pierced the snowy curtain with judgment and annoyance. The weather was no problem for him, but that did not mean he didn’t have to watch his step and make sure nothing bigger than a snowflake decided to crash land from the sky above. The last thing he needed was an icicle or avalanche falling on him in an attempt to injure or end his life. But wouldn’t that be a story for others to tell. The first Magus to fall, and due to snow. Lovely.
With large paws carrying him through the mountain pass, the Magus paused and carefully took him his surroundings. Something was not right. It wasn’t exactly a threat, but it wasn’t…right. With teeth bared and ears perked, Loki slowly continued on until he picked up on something being carried by the wind.
“Is that singing?” he asked as he followed the tune, or what he thought was a sad attempt at a tune. “I might as well have frost bitten ears at this point. It would be so much lovelier to be quite honest, but who am I to talk since I am talking to myself?”
Usually Loki would travel with his Lead Guard and or the Lead Warlord, but this time he decided to travel alone. Truly, he missed the amusement and the bickering as a form of entertainment. At least his guard would give him amusement upon his return since the poor fool seemed really attached to him for some reason.
He started at the cave entrance that the so called tune seemed to echo from. There was no way he was going to enter such a filthy place, at least not yet or without good reason, but that did not mean whatever was in there could not be lured out. That or maybe it could be enticed into a shouting match. With a smirk playing upon his lips, Loki let out a roar into the cave as a way to announce his presence. There was no way he was going to give the usual “Hello” or give away his identity. That would be too easy, and less fun.Khit Khat Sorry for the lateness! ;3;

Her neck started to ache as she craned to drink up the cool refreshing water that trickled down the wall. It provided her with so much relief and she felt her eyes close in relaxation and relief. That was until she heard the sound that made her heart drop and fur bristle.
The mighty roared echoed throughout the entire cave and even made the ground vibrate beneath her paws. Her think pelt bristled even more than it already had been form the cold. She stood very still till the roar ended and her ears became alert. She was trying to listen beyond the pounding of blood in her ears.
It was when thing's became silent that she turned to the front of the cave entrance. Her mind realized the situation she could possibly be in. Perhaps she had intruded on someone's territory or home, and there was only one way to find out. She knew either way she would have to face the stranger so she may as well now. She could not help but wonder whom would greet with such a roar unless they were not pleased to have sensed her presence.
She let her paws guide her forward and used her nose and ears to smell and listen for the sounds of storm outside the cave walls. She was not worried or scared, she had a odd way of trusting what she could not see. She felt her fur lay flat as she slowly picked up her pace in confidence and finally outside. She walked until the Caves wall's were replaced with the strong breeze of the mountain wind and she knew she was out in the open. Exposed. Yet she found an odd comfort in the breeze and hearing the sounds of the wind around her.
"Whom do I have the pleasure of meeting with such a mighty roar?.." She said as she stood still her sightless gaze looking straight ahead. She felt her claws scrap into the cold snow and deep onto the frozen earth. She had not encountered another in very many day's and night's. She had isolated herself into the thick of the mountains to work on her senses and grow stronger.
