Argyle Coil - A lance blade handed down by her mother when Ariana gained admittance into Beacon. She had only minimal experience wielding her mother's weapon, however she always longed to own the weapon her mother used before she retired. It glows beautifully at all times due to the dust which is housed within the core of the weapon and radiates a gentle warm aura which has no effect but seems to keep Ariana at ease while wielding it. In this state it naturally regenerates the dust contained within over a steady rate by drawing back in the residual dust which it expended in Shield form.

Argyle Shield - Ever the tactician her mother was, Argyle Coil is capable of dismantling itself and forming the Argyle Shield. Utilizing the dust contained within, the shield hovers close to Ariana and acts independently, protecting her during it's duration allowing her to focus more easily upon her semblance. It can withstand a great deal of damage, however it's duration is somewhat limited, typically lasting long enough for her to wreak havoc with her semblance for a few minutes. After which it will revert to Argyle Coil and return to her grasp the glow severely diminished. Argyle Shield can not leave her side and can not be willed to do so, while it is fully independent, it's single and sole purpose is to protect her and no one else.

Auras/ Semblances:

Feathered Familiar - Ariana possesses a unique semblance in the form of a small owl familiar which typically rests upon her shoulder. While it can fly about freely, it's range is somewhat limited and it can only interact with objects weighing 1lb or less. It's passive form (That of the small owl) does not effect Ariana's energy or stamina as it is naturally a part of her. In it's active state it grows exponentially in size then bursts into countless ethereal feathers which surround Ariana and her companions. During it's time in it's active state it steadily drains on Ariana's energy. These feathers create a barrier which reduce damage and knock-back effects while also bolstering the speed and strength of those effected by the feathered embrace. This effect can only last for a few minutes, after which the feathers will dissipate and the familiar will return to Ariana's side. Once it has reverted to passive state it can not return to it's active state until Ariana has had proper time to rest and recover. The familiar is entirely sentient, and can act independently to Ariana's will, however it's active state may only be triggered by Ariana.

Soul Flicker - Ariana's aura becomes visible, taking the appearance of blue flames flickering around her form. It is not, in fact fire, merely the representation of how powerful her aura truly is. She can manipulate her aura into projectiles which take the form of Serpentine wisps which aggressively seek out her enemies and explode upon contact. She is capable of launching 5 projectiles at once which move independently, or fuse the 5 together to create one much larger and slower wisp with a magnified explosive force of all five. Due to the nature of the ability however, a mobile target it much more difficult to track. She is rendered immobile while using Flicker Soul, and using the ability several times in succession without rest leads to exhaustion.

Bio
Ariana's mother was fairly well known huntress in the kingdom of Mistral, a huntress capable of summoning creatures almost as bestial as the Grimm she slay. She however chose to put that life behind her when her beloved proposed to her, moving to the kingdom of Vale where Ariana's father called his birthplace. Soon she was with child, and Ariana was born during a frigid winter night. As a child Ariana found herself engulfed by one book after another, by the time she had reached the age of 10 she had read every book available to her within the house. Even the tactical diaries her mother had tucked away during her time as a huntress could not avoid Ariana's hungry mind. It became apparent to her mother, that Ariana was likely destined to become every bit the huntress as she had been, if not more so.

One night, while she had been outside stargazing, an owl descended from the sky. It landed on the fence before her, it's head tilting in typical fashion, Ariana mimicking it and smiling. She stood up, and to her surprise the owl didn't fly away, in fact it spread a wing and started preening it. She watched in awe, stars behind it, and soon found herself imagining what it would be like to have such a creature by her side. A friend who would never leave her, which would be both beautiful and entertaining. Someone who could appreciate a good book just as much as she, and who would stargaze along side her whenever she pleased. With these thoughts in mind, and the beautiful owl as a perfect reference, soon her aura began to resonate. To her surprise, and apparently the surprise of the owl before her as it flew away in a panic, a form rose from her chest and spread it's wings. An owl, created of her very own aura hovered in front of her and cooed out a greeting.

By the time she turned 18 Ariana had developed a natural bond with her familiar and even through it's help developed her second semblance. Much like her mother, Ariana's aura is quite potent, as it must be as a summoner style huntress. Since she was 15 Ariana longed to own the weapon which her mother wielded, however as she promised she would prove herself worthy of it. When she successfully was admitted into Beacon she had completed this task, and readily accepted the Argyle Coil. A lance-like rapier which could shift into a fully independent shield which would protect her whenever she needed it. With the drive become a huntress revered like her mother, and an overwhelming desire to learn ever more she hurried off to beacon, her familiar who she named Nia leading the way.
