He was sleeping in his own room again. He was not spending all his time in the greenhouse, and his diet wasn't coffee and vending machine food anymore. Well, not as much. The vending machine food was getting a bit crazy anyways with his cut wages, but now he was deciding that he had to be physically better in order to keep Rin from worrying. Now that she was here, could see him, he didn't want her to worry anymore about him and feel comfortable that he was strong enough mentally and physically to help her come home.
The cafeteria probably wasn't the place for being healthy, but it was food in some sense and better than chips and granola bars as your primary diet. At least they had sandwiches most days, and he managed to find that they were not skimping out on presudo meat this time. He picked up an apple, and plenty of napkins, before turning around.
It had been a while since he saw Jordan, not helped by the fact Melvin kept to spending his time alone, but he beamed when he saw the Sun farther down a line of tables. The embarrassment of their drunken night had worn off now in light of more important events, and days like these only made Melvin value what few people who were still in his corner. He was also a wee bit socially starved.
Moving over, he set his tray down and looked to Jordan. "This seat taken?"
