This is the Rooftop of the Academy, gives you a pretty good view of everything beneath it, it looks out directly onto the courtyard, and tends to be rather restricted as only staff are generally allowed up here, but not everyone follows the rules.

Ysara let out a rather pleased sound as she dashed onto the rooftop, a light hearted laugh escaping her, before she twirled in place. "Oh! Just feel this fresh air Shiki! Oh it's so clean I could almost dance! And this view is fantastic! You can almost see the whole world from up here. See, now you can observe all the strange little people, without keeping us locked up in that stuffy dorm room now." She exclaimed, turning to look at her twin brother as she gestured over the railing.
Shiki sighed, running his fingers through his hair, as he leaned against the railing, glancing at the people below, he was quiet for awhile. "I think I preferred the view of the ruins, at least then no one seemed to be around this place. There is too much noise here now." He remarked, as he observed the people below them, Ysara sighing and shaking her head in response to his statement.
Allie had done some wandering. Found a few little nooks and crannies, and some interesting places. But, of course, had been attracted to the signs that told him NOT to go somewhere. Somewhere being up a staircase. Which, he hoped led to the roof.
As he got closer to the door at the top, he heard voices. "Oh good, there are people up here. I hope it's not teachers, or staff. Although, if it is, I can play dumb. Say I was just lost. Ha!" he whispered to himself, before slowly opening the door.
Sure enough, it was the roof. And he could already tell the view would be amazing. He whistled softly, glad he had followed his instincts on this one. He gaze caught on the two that were already there, and he grinned. They looked a bit odd, which was a good thing. Odd people were the best people to start with when you were in a new place, because they would provide the most entertainment. The biggest distraction. He turned on his trademark charm, and waved a bit. "Well, hello there!" he said, closing the door behind himself. He dropped his bag, and headed straight for the railing. "Oooh, gorgeous view. Just as I suspected. And you can really feel the breeze up here." He hoped again that they weren't some kind of staff, because he was being pretty bold. Then again, he was nothing if not brave. He had no time for slow, calculated decisions; that was Alice's domain. He liked living in the moment, making it up as he went along. Spontaneity was the spice that made life worth living. And the trouble it brought sometimes just made for stories to tell his pups later in life.

Ysara blinked, briefly becoming quiet at the sight of Allie, more of out of surprise that anyone else had shown up on the rooftop. She flashed a smile though, unlike her twin as she gave a wave. "Well hello there. Are you lost?" She asked, she leaned against her twin, her hands on his shoulders as he was more silent compared to her brightness.
Shiki suddenly became silent, his eyes narrowing slightly as he continued to merely observe the people below them, his hands clenching slightly. Almost as if he had a dislike of people. "You shouldn't be up here, it's staff only." He muttered under his breath. Not that he was one to be talking, they weren't staff either, but he felt they had more right to be up here than anyone. Considering they had been living in the ruins of the Academy before it was suddenly rebuilt.
Was he lost? He wasn't sure. Technically, the only reason he wasn't in his dorm was because he didn't feel like looking for it. His sense of direction was very good, and he rarely was lost for natural reasons. But, for the sake of a cover, he supposed he was lost.
"Kind of. I'm not from around here, so everything is a little... Confusing." he chuckled, glancing at the two. They looked very similar, and smelled very similar, so he was going to guess that they were related. The female seemed nice enough, at least willing to make simple conversation, but the male was a different story. He was completely shut off, eyes narrowed, muttering to himself. If Allie had felt up to concentrating, he would probably be able to hear what he was saying, but he really wasn't worried about it.
"I'm here for college. Junior year. Oh, and the name is Alistair, but you can call me Allie. What about you two?"

Ysara snickered at that, "My names Ysara Valkyrie and the broody one over here is Shiki Valkyrie. The pleasure is all mine Allie." She introduced, giving a more theatrical bow. "And don't mind Shiki, he doesn't care much for people, for good reason of course. I however know that we can't survive without other people for eternity." She remarked, giving an amused smile. "Oh, but don't worry, we aren't staff. So lying about being lost isn't a good choice, I know a little about the Headmaster, though I haven't met him directly, he seems able to catch on to that sort of thing." She remarked, "So I don't know if the rest of the staff are as attuned to it as he is. Just a Friendly warning." She chuckled slightly.
Shiki glared at his twin slightly, before he looked back over the railing, "I'm not brooding, and you shouldn't go saying that sort of thing to people. He could be staff and could be lying to you about being a student." He said, mostly under his breath, but he knew she could hear him, he reached over to her, and gripped her wrist in one of his hands, almost protectively, without moving his eyes from the activity below them.
"Ysara, and Shiki. Got it. And I'm sure there is enough pleasure to share, dear." He added, winking. His trademark grin slipped into place, as he turned his gaze back over the railing. The male, Shiki as he could now call him, seemed very interested in what was going on down there. "Ah, well, in that case. I'm not lost, just bored. I haven't felt like nosing out my dorm yet, and figured I'd do some exploring first. Get out some energy before unpacking. It was a long drive."
He glanced back at the male, a look of feigned alarm at the words spoken against him. "Now, Shiki, I am offended. To think, we only just met, and you already have such a terrible opinion of me! And here I was thinking about how positively adorable you are!" He turned away, hiding his face in his hands, and letting a few rather real sounding sobs escape.
"Oh well." he said, stopping the theatrics rather abruptly. "Even Lassie had enemies. Guess I can be no better."

Ysara laughed at that, "Well careful there Lassie, if you push the wrong buttons with dearest Shiki, he might strike out considering you a danger to us. Then again, currently everyone stands under as a possible danger to us. Though I do agree, Shiki is rather adorable." She remarked, reaching over and mussing her twins hair playfully.
Shiki glanced at Allie, pushing away from the railing and walking over to Ysara, moving behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist, laying his head on her shoulder, after having released her wrist. "No, he's not much of a danger so far, simply an annoyance. For a Hound anyway." He remarked softly, closing his eyes as he stood there. Ysara didn't even react to his position, as if it was perfectly normal with them.
"Trust me, I'm not a danger to anyone. I am the furthest thing from dangerous. I'm cute, cuddly, and rendered completely useless by a good bellyrub." He joked, running a hand over his stomach. Truly, he didn't really know what a bellyrub would do to him, as he had never asked for one, or received one by accident. But he had heard from other types of hounds that they were amazing, so he figured the same would be true for Hellhounds.
"Well, to be fair, Hounds are supposed to be a little annoying. We're supposed to be able to get your attention and keep it. That's not the purpose of my particular breed, but it's close enough." He shrugged, and looked back over the balcony. He supposed it was a little weird, the way they suddenly wrapped around each other, but it didn't bother him. He knew for a fact they were related now, because their scents were too similar. But he had met plenty of people in perfectly happy, perfectly normal incestual relationships, and it had long ago lost it's taboo for him.
"You're both pretty cute, actually. Where I come from, everyone is sun kissed and covered in makeup. Botox, plastic surgery, fake hair. It's really refreshing to see natural beauty." He flashed Ysara another grin, this one wide enough to show the tips of his pointed canines. He recognized the overall scent of these two from somewhere, but he couldn't place it. He hoped, by giving them clues as to his species, they would in turn give them clues to their own.

Ysara tilted her head in response to that, before she chuckled, her eyes almost lighting up. "I almost want to test the belly rub theory, but something tells me if I try to move too close to you Shiki might growl himself." She paused when he made the comment about them being pretty and it caused her to smile and chuckle. "Ah, that's because we're part-" She was about to finish when Shiki covered her mouth with his hand.
Shiki opened his eyes narrowing them slightly at Allie, "You ask a lot of questions, you may act clueless but you're smarter than you seem. A hound, but from the way you speak it must be another sort of hound. You're a Hellhound then." His voice was cold sounding, but that was his natural tone with anyone that wasn't Ysara. He was her opposite, where she was cheerful he was cold, where she was optimistic he was pessimistic, but it was what kept them alive. He was a bit more observant than her after all, he only wanted to protect both of them. After all that had occurred that forced them into the Academy, they could only be so cautious. Ysara was the only one of the two of them, who was willing to charge in heart first, so she needed Shiki to be able to guard her on behalf of both of them, even though they both knew she acted that way to hide her own level of observance, because it encouraged others to let their guard down around her.
Alistair felt the change in tension before anything was said. His hackles raised at the sudden threat. He kept his gaze out over the grounds, but his hands gripped the railing tightly. He had only wanted to meet people, to have fun. To distract himself from the crushing lonliness he had began to feel. He could understand someone being guarded, he really could. But there was a point where you started to come off as straight out nasty.
"And is there a problem with that, Shiki? With my breed? Honestly, I'm probably the nicest one you'll ever meet. I only spent a very short time in Hell, as a pup. Since I have gained my human form, I have lived amongst mortals, and humanoid immortals. I have no interest in harming you or Ysara. I have no interest in harming anybody. I am here for my education, and to expand my horizons as to the workings of the world. I believe the purpose of this Academy is coexistence between the species? Or perhaps you didn't read the pamphlet before signing up?" His voice had taken on an edge, a soft growl to his words.
'Calm down, Fido. Don't make it any worse.' He thought to himself. He forced himself to take a deep breath, and pushed away from the railing, heading back to where he had dropped his bag.
"Nevermind. Forget I said anything. I'm just a proud puppy dog, speaking before thinking. Maybe we can try this again, another day. I have to find my dorm, and take my medicine." By the end of the statement, he realized that the medication excuse wouldn't need to just be an excuse. His chest had gotten a bit tight, and he felt hot. Whether that was from a fever, which could be bad, or the hellfire in his veins, which was normal, he couldn't tell yet.

Ysara felt Shiki remove his hand from over her mouth, allowing her to speak up. "Allie wait, Shiki wasn't threatening you, he was stating his observations about what you were. That's just his nature." She said, trying to defend her brother, she knew he came off as harsh and uncaring but that was his own way of guarding himself as well as to protect her. They had been through a lot after all, they had been through more than what they ever wanted to share with another person.
Shiki watched him walk away, quiet for awhile. "I don't have a problem with your race, I find you annoying but so far you have not attacked Ysara or I. As for signing up to be part of this academy. We never did such a thing, we are here because unlike most, we have no where else to go. We were here when this whole Academy was still a ruin, we called those ruins our home for a long time. How else would you respond if you found intruders in your home?" He questioned, before he grabbed Ysara's wrist and walked with her to the door.
"Not that it matters, I will continue on protecting Ysara and I, whether you approve of my methods or not." He muttered darkly as he walked back to their dorm, Ysara following close behind him, waving to Allie with an apologetic expression.
Now, he felt like a total a**. But it didn't stop him from being upset. Sure, maybe he should have kept his charm up, played the game a little harder. Usually, a few minced words didn't have this effect on him. But he was tired, and cranky, and missed his friends. He had taken for granted their acceptance, and how easy it was to survive.
Still, though, he had to admit Shiki was right. If these grounds had been their home, he was just protecting his territory. He could respect that. But, on the other hand, if the male could so easily pick out that he was a Hellhound, he shoud know that he would understand that, and could have simply explained it to him. There was no need to glare and spit.
He let the two go, not saying a word. When he saw Ysara wave at him, he waved back. At least she had been nice. Maybe he would have another chance to talk with her, without Mr. Sourpuss being around. "Wouldn't surprise me if he's some kind of cat. He's got the nasty demeanor down pat. I'd like to chase him up a ******** tree." He grumbled to himself, finally locating the papers in his bag. He slung the bag over his shoulder, and started down the stairs, staring at the map to find his dorm.
