Anyways I've got some stuff saved for just this situation. I'll go ahead and assume you can learn how to roleplay from just watching some of the members practicing it so I'll leave learning that up to you or the forums around gaia in general.
In the meantime let me explain gaia. Took me a lot of conversations to even understand gaia coding, however when I did it became one of the easiest things to me. [brackets] are your best friend.
How to insert images into posts:

That's probably one of the first things I picked up but I wouldn't have if no one told me. Theres also a few buttons above the posting little area that allow you to do these things without having to manually type the code in. However I've noticed it misses a few things like theres a plethora of colors that gaia doesn't include in that little color button. Like
slategrey.
Oh one important coding bit to pick up is quoting. Most roleplayers quote to get their partner's attention. Like what I did at the beginning of this post to get your attention, often times if I'm not quoted I wont know if someone made a reply or did something to my character.
To quote a specific person
