- While she was growing up Jasmine was the main focus of her parents. And she hated it. She never wanted to be their pretty little princess. Never wanted them to treat her brother like trash. She knows that was the thing that doomed him into joining a gang in high school. But it is what it is in the end. She did not have to bare their presences too long, between school and friends and their more than full time jobs. She automatically got pulled into the "popular" crowds in school. Although she never took their personas and often tried to hang out with the weirdos and more interesting people. The people who accepted her brother. And they ended up accepting her as well when they found she was not the snooty princess they might have expected. Even Tyron's gang came to respect her when she was around when they came by. Especially when they found she shared his adrenaline junkie qualities.
It saddened her when Tyron was marked and taken away from her to the House of Night closest, in Orlando. Although her relief was around the corner when a few months later she was marked as well. Jasmine joined her brother in his new life and enjoyed her own. She made a few friends, even finding old ones she had known before. She made the soft mistake of falling in love with a boy. And it was not all bad. He was goofy and nice and treated her well. Even her brother accepted the other student in the end. Even when she rejected the Change in her fourth former year and came back as a red fledgling he still stayed with her. And she loved him for it. Then, one day, he rejected as well. As a sixth former, there was only two things that could happen. But he didn't come back. She waited, for weeks. But she knew he had joined Nyx in her peaceful fields.
After a while though, she had healed, a bit callus towards others, especially towards love. She's never found someone else, and she really isn't looking. Her brother had long since become a vampire. Then it was her turn and she was a full red vampire. A lot of people were and still are hesitant around her. She is not shy about when she needs blood and will get blood bags at a whim. When she and Tyron were invited to the House of Night in Hollywood, the high priestess being none other than his ex, they were both hesitant. But they both needed new starts. So they left sunny Orlando for equally sunny Hollywood. He still holds position as an experienced guard while she took up the position of the Mythology professor.

- Though most of the time kind and understanding, looks can be deceiving. Especially with Jasmine. She doesn't have a short fuse, it takes a lot for her to be mad at someone. When she does, it in essence turns her into ice towards that person. And at times their associates. Although when is is just annoyed, not mad, she can be impatient and harsh. However it takes a while for her patience to run out. She is laid back and sassy towards her students and her friends. She is very defensive of her friends but that does not mean she is impulsive about it. Jasmine chooses friends who can easily stick up for themselves as well as others. When it comes to her class and lectures she is focused and tries to help teach her students best to how they can learn.
