Darius followed Soka out of the ballroom and into the courtyard. When the other finally stopped the dark angel looked at the baby and looked around. Seeing some plants he went over to them changing the leaves into something edible. "Give him these. Don't worry, it won't hurt him and he will stop crying. It's food of a sort." Hearing the question he shrugged. "It might make it harder to escape, but not impossible. As for why, I don't want to leave you here. I can't say why, but I've grown fond of you. Maybe it's because you remind me of my mother. She was in a similar situation to yours but kept working hard to give me a good life."

As they spoke a guard came up to Soka and touched him. Darius narrowed his eyes at the man and grabbed his hand squeezing hard. "If you were smart, you won't touch him again." As he looked at the guard, he noticed the resemblance between the man and the baby. So, this was Baby's father? Which meant that the guard had forced the teen and that caused something in Darius to snap.

"Soka, turn away. I don't want you to see this." The dark angel said with a cold and unfeeling voice. As if he had become a different person. Turning back to the guard the dark angel moved quickly and snapped the guard's neck. When it was finished Darius let the body fall to the ground before he held the male and the baby. "We are getting out of here. No one will touch you again without your permission."

As he spoke large black wings formed from his back and he looked up to the sky. He knew it would be harder to fly with the extra weight, but he could do it, at least until they got to the outskirts of town.

Talon led Lilly out to the courtyard... There were lush, green plants surrounding them, and he was sure that Lilly would begin to feel better now.

"How are you feeling, Lilly?" asked Talon. He then reached up and unfastened her slave collar, removing it and tossing it into a nearby trash can. "If there's one thing I can't stand, it's seeing a beautiful woman like you suffer." he said, gently caressing the side of her face with one hand. "You're free now. You can leave if you'd like... or you can come home with me if you wish." he then smiled at her, hoping that she would choose to go with him. "I'm quite lonely, and I could use a companion - also, I live in the forest, so there will be plenty of plants and wildlife for you."

"You're more than welcome, Lilly..." said Talon, pulling her into his arms and embracing her, kissing her gently on the cheek. He was overjoyed that she had agreed to go with him, and he figured that after all she had been through, what she needed most of all was somebody who cared... He gently ran his hand over the mark on her neck, with a look of sadness in his eyes. It would probably be there for as long as she lived, a grim reminder of the cruelty she had endured. However, these days were behind her now, and she had a much brighter future ahead. Talon would make sure of it.

"I couldn't survive long in a place like this either..." said Talon, smiling at Lilly. "I'll open a portal back to my realm." he then pulled some stones with Elven runes on them from his pocket, placing them in a circle around himself on the ground. He drew symbols on the ground around the stones with chalk, then smiled at Lilly. "Step into the circle, and take my hands..." he said, smiling reassuringly at her as he held out his hands.

A gentle breeze blew, carrying with it the stench of smog and engine exhaust... it burned Talon's sensitive lungs, causing him to cough into his elbow. "The humans of this realm are a very proud, yet foolish people. They have grown so fond of technology that they have forgotten the ways of nature and magic. In their hubris and greed, they have poisoned the land, the water, the very air they breathe... They've adapted to living in this filth, by my elven body cannot. Spending too long in conditions like these is bad for my health."

As Lilly stepped into the circle, talon took her hands gently and smiled at her. "Don't worry, this is completely safe" he said reassuringly "Although it's draining on me both mentally and physically, so I might be a little winded afterwards."

Talon then closed his eyes and began to chant an ancient Elven incantation. A tingling began to spread through his entire body as a green light surrounded them... He then felt a violent wrenching sensation, followed by the feeling that he was freefalling, tumbling endlessly through a dark void. Gradually, the sensation began to diminish, and he felt as if he was on solid ground once again.
