Alright! I'm finally gonna sit down and get this done! Hello and welcome to Shifter's Shapes, an artshop that's dedicated to all the wonderful shapes and figures all over Gaia. My goal is to make affordable, meaningful artwork of your avatars and oc's, while increasing my portfolio, growing as an artist, and making some new friends (and also making a bit of gold on the side). I am Vindictive Shifter and I will be offering my services for what I hope is a fair price. I'm a bit of an eclectic artist, and my style is ever evolving and changing. I'm a good mimic artist (not to be confused with tracing), but I also have a very distinctive style, of which you can see a number of examples in the post below.

So a little about the artist. I have been with Gaia for about eight years now, though I've only had this account for a few months. I moved accounts for personal reasons. Some of you may recognize me and my earlier (failed) attempts at opening an art shop. I hope to rise above that here and now, by offering quick, high quality art. I'm a 23 year old graduate from my state university and I have a degree in Psychology. Worst decision of my life. If I would have known what was good for me I would have stuck through art, or I would have gone into business. That is in the past though, and this is now. I'm an amateur artist, and the main purpose of this art shop is to give me practice and make some friends. I'm shy, I seem outgoing, but meeting new people is nerve wracking. I have hopes that one day I'll be able to use the skills I gain from this art thread to open real commissions and make a living off of my artwork. It is my hope that you will all come with me on this venture. So please, don't be shy, come in and hang out, make friends, and join me.
This thread is operated by two gaians, myself, and Inventive Tyrant. You can find the link to both of our profiles at the top of this page. Tyrant is my partner in crime on Gaia and we share pretty much everything. If you have questions and I'm not around, feel free to reach out to her or vice versa.

Rules and Terms of Service
❁Follow all Gaia Terms of Service and all the following rules. If you do not, you will be blacklisted. Once blacklisted you will never be eligible to get art from me again.
❁ I will take bribes if you offer an item I really want (which are many), otherwise I'm fairly flexible in prices, but this is definitely a shop where you get what you pay for.
❁ Please do not rush the artist. I put hours into every piece (I also have a job and real life bills to pay off so I cannot draw every second of every day) For more complex pieces expect it to take me a week or two.
❁ Treat your artist, her Moderator, and your fellow thread goers with respect. No hate speech of any kind will be accepted. That includes: Homophobic remarks, sexist remarks, transphobia, islamaphobia, or any kind of phobia against another human being. Even if you just think it's a joke. If I see any racisms, sexism, or any other -ism that is immediate black listing and you will be reported to gaia for breaching ToS and blacklisted from the thread.
❁Do not alter the layout for the Reservation Sheet. Do NOT post the reservation sheet and assume that I will automatically pick you. This shop is not run on a first come first serve basis.
❁ I reserve the right to refuse your commission for any reason at any stage of the process. If I refuse your commission I will cancel any trades between us and your gold will be refunded to you.
Reasons I may refuse:
The Avatar/OC is too Detailed/Cluttered/Difficult - I want to challenge myself, but not at the expense of other commissioners who would have to wait longer for me to tackle these highly detailed requests.
If I find you broke any of the rules in this thread.
If I find your Avatar/Original Character to be offensive or inappropriate.
If you request something that violates Gaia ToS. I will not draw anything explicit.
I will almost always refuse Fanart. I believe strongly in copyright law, and even though Gaia Gold is a digital currency, I will not accept any pay for drawing someone else's intellectual property (Unless you are the creator them self or have written permission from the original creator).

❁ You always need to quote me or Inventive Tyrant for your reservation or we wont see it. Please Do Not Private Message me about your reservation. If I choose to accept your commission I will private message you.
❁ I am willing to haggle. Tell me what you can afford in the Reservation Sheet, and if I choose to accept your commission we'll work out the finer details when I send you the private message. But please do not lowball me.
❁ You must send your trade before I start your commission. However I will not accept the trade until after I finish the picture.
❁ Have fun and stick around! This is a hangout thread as much as an art thread, so please stay, enjoy yourself, and make friends.
❁ Rules me be added, removed, or abridged at any time.

I do not gain or retain copyright of any character, however I do retain the right to my work, and you understand that I can use any work I do in my personal and/or professional portfolio. Your characters will never be used for commercial purposes. You (The Commissioner), Do not have to ask my permission to post your work outside of Gaia, but please only post watermarked version so that I can receive credit and recognition for my work. Samples, Prices, and Reservations
Because Gaia's Guild Function is in need of serious revision, I'll be updating this later. For my samples, please follow this link for examples and prices. This will be revised soon.

These prices are negotiable,but only to a point. I put a lot of love and time into these pieces, many of them taking several hours to even a couple of days. I don't want to give you subpar work. That is why I ask you try and get as close to the cost as you can. I do take bribes to supplement cost, and of course the more you pay the more work I'll put into the piece. Since I'm contending with Gaia's wackadoo market and inflation, never be afraid to ask me in-thread about a quote.

There will be times that I accept requests, but that is not often, and it is based on my judgement. Typically I decide who I will do a request for, and it is solely based on how much I love the person's avatar or OC.
The Reservation sheet below must be followed to the letter. Do not alter it in any way. Doing so will automatically disqualify you from being considered.

Oh please do! I love your avatar! And thank you so much, that's quite the compliment. I'm not really doing commissions much anymore, just... taking requests here and there, and finishing up my lined up commissions and waitlist. So do please feel free to stick around and chat. And I'll try and be more active in my responses. I wish there was an alert system to tell me when guild threads got updates.
