Ok soooo how this is going to work is I want everyone to come up with there own story or plot SOMETHING and post it in here..
After that is all done we will all vote on each others and the one that has the most votes win?!
We have a lot more characters! Buuuut we need villains as well!!! So if anyone wants to do both a hero and villain I am totally ok with that! Just have 2 different accounts!
Does that sound fair for everyone. Or does anyone else have a better way? Please Pm if you do ^ ^

I am a writer story ideas are my bread and butter I s2g.

If we're needing to keep this Smash!centric, there are quite a few villains being used as pawns for the assistant trophies. Maybe we could work that into whatever plot somehow? I mean, think about it. You're a villain, possibly DEAD at one point (ala Dark Samus), but now you've been given a second chance to wreck s**t.
The trophies came to life in Melee, and in Brawl. So some of the villain!assistant trophies perhaps try and release them so they're free to help with the dirty work? Not sure, just brainstorming.

I mean, I know Metroid. I can always whip up a Dark Samus and have her scare the s**t out of everyone.
But I imagine this'd be a main reason for the plot GOING, and with how expensive cosplays are now, it might be hard for everyone to have two different cosplay accounts.

But crossovers and such are what Sm4sh is meant for, really. Especially plot wise.
I did an RP with Little Mac and he had to deal with s**t from Metroid. It was interesting and different, and it's a way for everyone to have a chance at the spotlight. Everyone gets their turn. After all, no one can deal with everything on their own.

Ok so first things first I don't want to seem like I'm completely trashing the idea coming from Samus, because that'd be rude and I'm not trying to do that at all. (also this is just a pre-thing for ideas so)

Granted, of course, we don't take the Smash concept to a T and we just use nintendo characters, and the universe and whatnot, making Smash and the trophies thing somewhat irrelevant. (Like I said I'm not trying to just seem like I'm pushing aside the Samus idea :c sorry if I seem rude.)

Anyways, here's what I have:

Because it's assumed that a lot of our characters are probably not in the same time frame (Link and Samus?? come on) or even the same time line, I've got a few ideas for that.

So we have here, Skull Kid and Majora's Mask, who just loves to wreak havoc and be mischievous and whatnot. We are gunna do some plot stuff and say that this is around the time that he has the Ocarina of Time stolen from Link or something, and for the sake of the plot, Skull Kid plays the Song of Time and can use it to go forward or backwards in time. (Because of Majora's Mask's power).
So anyways Skull Kid plays around with time-travel a little bit and stuff.
All this time, my character Zant, is dead, due to Twilight Princess and stuff.

Anyways, blah blah blah. With the power of Majora's Mask, Skull Kid revives Zant for who knows why. Skull Kid does this outside of the Twilight Realm (possibly the lost woods or something idk). At this point, Zant wants revenge on mainly Link, but also he still wants his rightful title as king and to rule and weird evil stuff like that.
So we go on a little bit and Zant finds out after he died, Midna shattered the Twilight Mirror, meaning Zant can't go back into the Twilight Realm. Which ultimately pisses him way off.
Around this time, the Skull Kid tells Zant that he has a way of going through time, and Zant jumps on this immediately.
They go back in time, when the Mirror was left untouched, and when Midna still ruled.
Ensue Twilight Princess 2.0. This means that Zant enters the Twilight Realm, hexes Midna, divides the Mirror, and takes over the Realm again. This time, though, he imprisons Midna in the Realm
Also this time Zant is stronger than he was the first time he did it, for a few reasons.
A) He has the powers he had before (and while) he was part of the Twili race, his dark weird tribe magics.
B) The aid of Skull Kid and Majora's Mask
C) There's a theory out there that at the end of Twilight Princess that Zant ultimately killed Ganondorf because he retreated the power he was giving to Ganondorf, which kept him alive. When this happens, the Triforce of Power dissapears off Ganonpork. This could mean that Zant has the power that Ganon gave him when they were both alive.

Anyways anyways anyways, while all this happens, and with all the weird time stuff that Skull Kid was doing, it caused the time continuum to collapse on itself and all of the time lines and universes are meshed into one. Meaning that Samus and Link can now meet each other lol.

With this happening though, Zant realizes that he can not only get revenge on Link, but he can take over the whole of everything (or so he thinks). So with this he does the Twilight Princess things, and shrouds a bunch of places in Twilight.

With that, we have an opening story and a beginning conflict, and with this all the characters have a way to actually meet each other and start alliances against the bad stuff that'll happen because the bad guys will also start alliances.

Sorry that was really long but that's the shortest I could make it lol
Feedback? Ideas?

EDIT: JK I really like the trophies idea now, it actually makes a lot of things a lot easier I dig that x900000

Zant (I'm just gonna call you that because NGL that's way easier for me to remember), one thing to keep in mind is that this is not a strict Zelda plot.
We have Master Hand/Crazy Hand to do the dimension/time twisting. They're the big ones behind bringing everyone together. That's shown in canon.

We have to consider more than one fandom at a time. What you have at the moment seems strictly Zelda, and it's not something everyone could really participate in immediately. And that's pretty boring for those of us not playing Zelda characters.

Where would Little Mac fit into that plot?
How would Samus get her start in this GIANT build-up, which is incredibly important?
How would Ness get into this beforehand? Lucina? Pit?

Its entire opening is Zelda characters. That won't fly in a giant crossover RP, IMO. Especially considering the variety we have already.

We really don't need a "hey, here's how they meet," IMO. There's the tournament. It's already started. They're already there. That way, we can get the ball rolling faster. More fast/action paced.

We have to get everyone involved, and KEEP everyone involved. Like I said, with RPing, you have to share the spotlight. It's much more fun for everyone, it varies the plots, and keeps things active. If people feel neglected, they're going to leave.

Skull Kid (with the mask) ******** s**t up can be done in the Smash area itself, too. He can still use his stuff there, and STILL screw things up. If we use the "Smash Mansion" thing, we'd have a lot of reign on things.

The thing with having Crazy hand and so on is who is going to like control them? Should I make a account just for bosses like that and for each boss such as master hand, crazy and tabu and so on I can use different colors for each one? Or I can have all of us use the same account. (May be a little tough)
We could do something like we did with the mansion saying everyone got a invitation to a place and us all meeting and evil strikes of course. So that would let us all have a shot to jump in. And let EVERYONE feel like they are apart of it.

Ya so like first things first, I didn't know for sure if we were using the Smash Bros story line, or if the Smash title was just being used, you know? Cause the last version of this guild it was just in the title and we just made all the characters in the same timeline weirdness anyways.

I totally agree with you, full heartedly (especially taking it this way.)
My intro was literally assuming that, like I said, Smash Bros was just a title and we needed that 'hey, here's how they meet.'

I wasn't trying to, say, take all the spotlight, but it was the only way I could think of that would work (if we were using the my idea thing). I wasn't trying to make it strictly Zelda either, because the original plot starter was going to have a lot to due with Ness, but there were complications with that.

I agree with the everyone deserves the spotlight, wholeheartedly, especially in a RP

BUT, with what you said, it would give everyone equal opportunity at jumping in and getting the show on the road.

Does all that make sense? I can easily shift the way I was thinking because I really like the way you're going about this.

@ Zelda: That would be hard to use just one account at the same time; maybe there should be auditions for those characters, see who can do them well so you wouldn't have to deal with the whole load? :/ Because that'd be unfair for you to do it all.

---------------------------------------------------

@Zant: Nah I hear you -- don't get me wrong, I don't want to paint my plot as the 'be all end all' that'd be stupid I am not the best plotter. I want other people to come forward with their ideas, too -- if someone can do it better ******** YEAH give it to me
(not like that oh my god)

I'm curious; is there a set final boss (well not to the point of a spoiler if it's a big deal) or anything?
IDK, I don't like the plot mainly doing with one character of any kind. I don't want the plot to just revolve around Samus, Peach, Bowser, etc.

I wasn't sure either about the title, to be fair; I just assumed (hopefully it didn't make an a** out of me) that it would be due to the title, the tags, and so on. sweatdrop Sorry if I crossed a line, Zelda.
PostPosted: Mon Nov 10, 2014 10:33 pm

No I get it, and I mean now that we are on the same page, for sure, I can definitely help with a /related/ plot haha.

That's a really good question, I think an actual final boss would be a good investment, but is something we could get to later really, as the story progresses.

And I totally agree, a RP is a collaborative thing, no one person should have all of the spotlight, especially if you want a successful story. (Like I said I was only doing that due to my uncertainty)

And no, I'd say you assumed right and I was in the wrong here, haha. Being 'Smash Brothers' one would think it was Smash Bros related. I was just taking knowledge of the last guild, and in your favor that's not fair because this is a whole new guild with new people.
(tbh I don't think you crossed any line).

I agree, I don't think you overstepped any boundaries! We should do something entirely different this time. We don't have to be entirely "Smash Brothers" related. Although I do find myself rather fond of the idea of investing in a big final boss to one story. It could lead to another story completely after! I'm not sure if any of you have played against it yet, but there's this entirely new boss fight at the end of classic mode on a high difficulty (not gonna give it away so I don't spoil it for anyone who hasn't played and fought it) but it's a pretty intense boss and gives the feeling of a final boss! Anyways, I like the ideas being talked about so far. I've got a personal question for all of you, actually. As you probably know, Bowser has played the role of good guy and villain, and sometimes in between both in certain games. I was wondering, what would you think that I should do? Play only one side, or do the alternate thing where he plays whatever side benefits him the most like he would do, too? I'd love to hear some feedback from everyone. What sounds like the best way to mix it up in our up-coming plot?

Well, it really depends on who we get, who's planning on playing a villain and when, etc. What honestly matters is you having fun, whether it be villain!Bowser or hero!Bowser.
But I guess this ALSO depends on what plot we actually end up going with.

Sir Elezar

Plotting's super hard. I hope other people contribute too, so we can get a real huge thing going. 3:
Even if it's just a 'i think this is a good idea' that'd be really helpful so we know what to expand on ...

- Tries to slide in and fit in right... but ultimately fails, in the end. = 3 = -

So...erm, anywho! XP I figured I would stop by and give my two cents worth, even though I will probably have little to offer at the moment, since things are just starting off, and I am unfamiliar with the old way things were done in previous versions of this guild... ^^'' But I shall try my best!

Sooooo, I think you all have very good ideas, so far, in my opinion! From what I'm understanding( now if I'm wrong, anyone is welcome to correct me~ I'm not good with jumping into large groups like this, so please forgive me if I make mistakes sometimes... ; w ; ) this is inspired by Nintendo titles/Super Smash Brothers, but will have a bit of a different take, as far as how the story will go? Like for example, how Smash Bros is basically a large tournament, with many characters and worlds combined into one, this story will take a similar route, with everyone being together, fighting a common enemy(or enemies), but it will be bigger than just simply being a tournament? That probably came out very poorly... I know what I meant, but it just did not want to flow properly from my fingertips. = w ='' I hope that made sense... kind of, maybe? XD I also saw something mentioning a Smash Brothers Mansion? That sounded REALLY fun to me~ but of course, I should probably ask how that part would go, since I'm really unsure at this moment... I'm just trying to get involved somehow~ I'm actually a little lost. ( Not your guys's faults at all - I just have a VERY hard time taking in a lot of information at one... I have a bit of a learning disability, you see... = x = I'm sorry if I ask dumb questions, or seem lost about things I should not be at times. )

I am very happy to try and offer more, plot wise, however! If there is anything I can offer that might add fun and excitement, I will gladly share with you all!

KrystalisOfHylia

I'll just take this opportunity to explain the 'Smash Mansion' fanon. This has been around since day one (Not as of the first game, but I heard whispers of it around Melee!Era, and then it just happened in Brawl!Era), pretty much; I'm far from the first one to come up with it.
The fanon is that the entire tournament takes place in this GIGANTIC mansion surrounded by the areas (now seen in Subspace Emissary from Brawl). You have room/board, training areas for those who are waiting for an arena to open up, and the battles themselves normally take place in simulation rooms. The settings feel real, but it's on a timer/electronic so Master Hand/Crazy Hand can keep track of the fights as a whole.

Some people add a cafeteria, gardens, and so on. It really depends on the author/group that uses the "Mansion." Same with the set-up. It depends on who's using it. Obviously, if we DO (not saying it's guaranteed, like I said, I'm just explaining it), we'd have to agree on one layout to use for the story.

But yeah, idk, to me it just feels like fun to have something casual interrupted and then Bad s**t Goes Down. Even moreso if everyone's forced to work together instead of just splitting off to take care of their own thing to 'fix' it.

(I have a learning disability too, so I'm with you there. D8 It sucks. I'm so sorry!!)

Just adding my two cents!
I'm actually backing up Samus on this one, I'm actually very fond of the smash mansion concept, which my friend Lucas introduced me to when she created a group in another site.

It's a pretty versatile way to pitch everyone in, and allows a way for the group to have some sort of main HUB.

(also i really like the whole rogue assist trophy plot)
PostPosted: Sun Nov 16, 2014 2:51 am

I really do like the sound of the rogue assist trophy deal as one idea! The Smash Mansion is another great idea as well! First off, at least from my experience, we should try to get a general idea of what we'll try to attempt for a main story plot for the guild before trying to place certain characters in the plot. I mean, if things continue as they are we'll end up with even more members. Which is a good thing, don't get me wrong! But since we've been getting a lot of new members I think it'd be a smart thing to wait before we actually try to get too far in to a "Who does what" kind of scenario until we seem to kind of slow down in gaining members at some point later on and have a solid set of characters to each have their own role.

Otherwise, I think we'd end up rapidly changing the plot over and over again with new members coming in to our new guild all the time. It's just my opinion, but I think we should work more on a "Generic play-out" idea. For instance, the rogue Assist Trophy idea (which would make a SUPER exciting stadium challenge for Smash Bros I'd think XD) and the Smash Mansion ideas. We could throw out various ideas of what would happen that would make characters do this or that for these two rough sketches, and in the mean time come up with a few other generic plot ideas! Maybe after we get some ideas for these plots in a nut-shell, we could even cast a vote for what the guild as whole would like to do first out of our ideas!

It doesn't have any form whatsoever in my mind right now as it's just coming off the top of my head, but let's say for instance that all of our characters get put in to strange positions and challenges that they never had to face before, but it's what the other characters have dealt with all the time! For example, say all the characters get swapped in to a world that's completely separate from their own! Wether it be with one person by themselves, two, or a few that end up in a world they've never been in, but have to try and face the enemies the other characters face.

Just as a very rough plot, not anything to be serious but hopefully help jot the ideas of everyone who reads this, say Bowser suddenly get's put in to Little Mac's World! He has to win a boxing match against someone, and say he gets a one-hit KO on whoever he faces and wins that world's challenge! But, suddenly he gets casted in to another world with Samus! Yet that world isn't either of theres, but turns out to be Hyrule!

They both get stuck in that world's challenges that heroes from that world face all the time! They'd have to figure out SOMEthing to make it out of there! The good people would freak out seeing some new monster (Bowser) show up thinking that he's gonna try to destroy the place, although he's actually trying to save them! Samus tries to jump in and calm everyone down, but suddenly Argorok swoops in and tears the cannon off of Samus's Varia suit!

Then the plot is Bowser trying not to get attacked by the good people, and Samus has to get her arm cannon back from Argorok and is left to fight without it! So they'd both have to team up together to not end up fighting both the good and evil in Hyrule, and end up as the oddest duo put together that have to set differences aside and work as a team to win that lengthy challenge and find a way out of that world to go and find the other heroes! In the mean time, teamed forces of good and evil eventually collide when swapping various worlds, making both sides get put off in an awkward and very challenging position! Therefore, leaving the question of who's responsible for causing this cross-over chaos!

PHEW! XD That was a lot to type. Sorry, when I get an idea that I have no idea what I'm doing with, I come up with a lot of stuff. Anyways, that's just a very rough plot idea I came up with for a possible scenario. Rogue Assist Trophies, Smash Mansion, World-Swapping! Maybe 3 plots we can work on? Again, this is nothing to take serious with my idea, but I'd love to hear your feedback! And again, sorry for typing so much for all of you to read XD my imagination spreads like wildfire when I have a creative thought going.

Oh, and I did have one idea that kind of ties in to what Samus was talking about before. The sub-forum idea. To save up on just one big super post like before, we could make our own sub-forums for what happens to one or all characters! Say that some BIG thing happens after all the characters gather, and they end up being separated in to random groups of people. Wether it be two characters or a few that end up somewhere.

We could leave the very main posted story as is, and make the sub-forum/topic stuff happen elsewhere for others to read. Then, once we look over everyone's story of what happened, we could continue back in to the very main story line's topic where we all came back together. It's just an idea that I thought about to keep our entire plot more organized and a lot easier for everyone to keep up with.

That way we could see what's happening with each character, no one would skip ahead or get tied up or lost from another persons post. We could easily remember the general idea of the very main story-line of before and after events just like they do in video games! My idea is that if characters do get split up in to their own situations, it'd have to take at least one (if not more) people to have to deal with the problem, and one (if not more) people to cause the problem!

I know how this eventually goes in to the "not enough villains" issue, but just like in the story plots of our beloved video games. Sometimes it's heroes that cause problems for other heroes either by accident or by mis-information! Same thing goes between bad guys and other bad guys! Hopefully was we get new members in, we'll have a lot more to choose from if we do go in to a good vs evil storyline at some point. So anyways, that's just a couple big ideas I wanted to share and I'd love to hear feedback on what you think about it and how we could make it better!
