Melinda was on the hunt once again for this Ninetails that she had been tracking for quite some time. Her Umbreon, was helping her search, but was mostly playing in the piles of leaves along the path.

Melinda had stopped to rest under a tree, while her umbreon continued to play in the leaves. Her umbreon jumped into a pile of leaves near a bush. She was rolling around in the leaves when she sensed something watching her from the bush near her. Walking cautiously toward the bush, she sniffed around the edge of it. "Hello is someone there???" the umbreon called out.

((Hope it's ok if the Pokemon can talk to each other ^_^))

Melinda looked glanced over at her umbreon, Shadow, and noticed that she was asleep. "Oh shadow, did you tucker yourself out?" she said as she got up and walked over to Shadow. Given Shadow was under hypnosis, it would be a few minutes before she would actually wake up. Bending down to pick up Shadow, Melinda noticed that someone had been in the bush next to where Shadow was. After picking up Shadow, Melinda went past the bush and noticed a trail of footprints. Following them, she stopped a few feet away from where the Ninetales was resting in her cave. She felt it would be wrong to try and catch the Pokemon while it was resting so she just sat under a tree but out of sight of the Ninetails and quietly observed the gorgeous Pokemon.

Melinda hearing Silvermist growl, slowly got up and walked from behind the tree and stood within the Ninetails field of vision. She just smiled and knelt down on one knee slowly extending a hand out to the wild Pokemon. "I'm not going to hurt you, you can can trust me." Melinda said, as her Umbreon began to slowly wake up from the effects of the Hypnosis.

"Darn it, not again." Melinda said beginning to feel defeated in catching this Ninetails. Shadow had slipped into the Ninetail's home and was looking around. "Shadow what are you doing in there?" Melinda asked as she slipped into the cave. Then she noticed what was in the cave. Sitting in the cave she picked up the picture and examined it. "Shadow doesn't this look like grandpa?" she said as she continued to look at the photo. The picture was indeed her grandfather, who lived on a ranch with her grandma and her family. Her and family lived on the ranch in a house next to her grandma and grandpa. They all loved Pokemon and would help take care of injured or abused Pokemon. Most of those Pokemon would stay with them and her grandpa would take some of those Pokemon and travel with them. When he died in an accident while traveling, the family was devastated, but continued to help Pokemon in his honor. "I have to find this Ninetails now, grandpa was really attached to her." Melinda said while Shadow snuggled up to her by the fire.

Melinda picked up the collar and noticed the name on the tag of the collar. "Shadow i'm going to go look for Silver. You stay here in case she comes back ok." Melinda said getting up and walking out of the cave. Shadow nodded ok and began rummage in her bag and pulled out a small bag of Pokeberries. She got them to Melinda before she left the cave. "Oh thanks, Shadow these may help me get to her." Melinda said petting Shadow's head and giving her a few berries before heading out. Shadow ate the berries then found a spot in the bag and slipped into it and waited for Melinda or Silver to show back up. "Silver, where are you girl?" Melinda called out as she walked in the direction of the lake. She was holding the collar that she found in the cave and a small bag of Pokeberries, that she hoped would get Silver to come closer.

Melinda could hear Silvermist growl a few feet from where she was. "Silver, I know you feel like my grandfather abandoned you, but he didn't." she called out to Silvermist as she slowly walked forward. "The truth is he died. I'm sorry if you feel like he abandoned you, and i know how you must feel, the family was crushed when we found out he died." When she got to where she could see Silvermist she slowly sat down and pushed the small bag of Pokeberries towards her. "Let me take you back home with me, we'll take good care of you."

Melinda gently petted Silvermist head and fed her some of the Pokeberries, then noticed her leg. "I'll patch that leg up once we get back to your cave." she said after examining the leg. Then she hugged Silvermist. "Don't worry girl, you're coming back home where you belong." Then they went back to cave where Shadow was waiting. When they got into the cave, Shadow walked to Silvermist and smiled. "Hi Silver, you're in good hands but you should remember what life at the ranch was like right?" Shadow asked before glancing down at Silvermist's leg while Melinda cleaned and bandaged it. "What happened to your leg?"
