Personality: She is very easygoing but brash and will run into things without completely knowing what to do, but she finds fun in the mystery of it. She grew up a in calm enviroment but from time to time she and her father would cause a ruckus just to liven things up a bit and her mother didn't mind. It showed that Kole inherited her father's livening personality.
After the incident with Haunter she began to try and forget all her dreams of becoming a trainer, much less a master, and became solemn for some time. She even stopped dancing at the theater. All her passion had been lost, making her parents worry.
This all changed when she befriended Cyndaquil. She reignited a spark within Kole that made her want to make up for lost time and go for her dreams. Even with her revived enthusiasm she is still cautious about things and isn't so naive anymore. To her she believes the need to show optimism also shows the need to show control or else something bad will happen. As her father says, "Letting the flame burn without purpose is as dangerous as a storm with no direction: it will become chaos."
Bio: Kole was born in Ecruteak city as the 2nd child to Bryne and Cybele Hakan. Her mother was the conductor at the dance theater so from the time Kole was little she would partake with her mother in the dance routines, but she never performed in front of a audience. Her father worked as a shrine guard at the Tin Tower, but would always have time to play with Kole. Kole had the most fun in her life when she would play with her father's fire type pokemon, especially his Arcanine. She has always had the dream of becoming a master of fire type pokemon like her father and older sister, Kenna. However something always held her back from doing this when she got older.
When she was 9 years old she and her parents were partaking in the Autumn Festival, but she saw what she thought was a pokemon glowing in gold. She was mesmerized and wandered off to find it. After running deep into the woods she realized she was lost and came face to face with a Haunter who had tricked her and began to scare her. She wasn't aware of a Haunter's tricky and playful nature so she took iit as a sign that she was in danger and ran farther to get away. She hid herself in hollowed out tree and fell asleep. When she woke up it was morning and people were in the forest looking for her. Some way or another this one experience made her afraid of pokemon and she stopped playing with Arcanine and the others for some time.
Everything truly began when she was 11. Her father brought home a baby Cyndaquil, injured and presumably abandoned. It was afraid of anyone to touch her so it was tough treating any wounds. Bryce thought that Kole could havea go at it but she refused, despite feeling sorry for the little Pokemon. From time to time Kole would sneak a visit with Cyndaquil, but would scare her away with Ember. It took a lot of Kole reviving her stubbornness to finally face it and hep it. Cyndaquil and Kole became extremely close after this and Kole wasn't so afraid anymore.
When she was 15 her little brother, Kenny, was born, and her father told Kole about the power of gems and how they could strengthen a Pokemon. Kole immediately wanted to go to Kanto and find these gems, but her mother wasn't too set on her going so far away without any preparation. Bryce however told her about going to Cinnabar Island to apply as a apprentice, so that way her mother wouldn't worry and Kole could still what she wanted. A week later she went to Olivine and got on a boat to Kanto, along with Cyndaquil, to Cinnabar where she would go to the gym there and become an apprentice. With this in her possession she is prepared to revive her dream of becoming a master with Cyndaquil by her side.
