Hello everyone,
I'm learning more and more what this Guild is all about. It's special that people here truly care for others. That unfortunately is a rare thing these days. Most people just think of themselves.
Luck mentioned that I have a lot of friends on this Guild and that I'm a light in the darkness. Maybe not a direct quote but I truly do believe that The Lord and the spirit gave me the gift of compassion and the ability to care and help other people. Yes, I have helped many people out throughout my life and never ask for anything back. It's the "Christian" thing to do. I believe that the "Holy Spirit" shows me a path that will lead me to either the help that I need or to a person who truly needs my help.
Now to why I started this thread. I'm in despair right now because I have been let go from a second job this year. The first time was due to downsizing of the company and the second one was due to the company saying that I do not fit into their future plans. Like any job their is perks and praise. Also their is favoritism and clicks. If you don't fit into a click in the job place then many people go out of the way to make you feel unwelcome and do what they can to make you feel bad and want to leave.
My last job had a lot of promise. It was in my field of Electronics and I learned about a lot of the new technology that is out their to make circuit boards. Many people praised my efforts and many people liked me a lot. On the other side their were many people that didn't like me. That's truly disappointing. I wanted this job to work out because I saw a lot of issues that they have had and I had suggestions that could make production move smoother.
I'm 51 years young right now (Birthday was on Halloween) and it's harder for gifted people like myself to get a job because they want younger people first. I don't mind sharing the work place with so many wonderful and gifted young people out their like I have seen on this guild. I feel that I was not given a chance to truly show how much that I can help the place out that I worked for. All they seemed to want to do is get the production numbers for the day no matter what. Working at high speeds can be very stressful and can create a lot of bad parts.
Now I'm unemployed again and my whole future is in Jeopardy. I need advice, comfort, and to hear about what others in this group went through after they lost a job and how they got another one that has worked out for them. I truly believe that I have friends here, especially our wonderful Captain Luck. Anything that you can say whether it's comfort, support, and advice is truly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Ron
