How often do you watch videos or refer to books to learn new stitches?

When I started I used videos a lot, now it's not very often. I don't have books :[ but if I don't know a stitch I look it up on the internet, preferably with lots of pictures

I love looking up new stitches. I like seeing a picture tutorial rather than a video, but I will use one if that's all that's available. But I prefer reading the instructions. I think it's because I don't have to keep pausing it to try to complete the stitch. lol.
I like to learn a new stitch or technique when I start a new project. I think Dana likes to do that too. cat_wink

Yes, you're right, Fel. I'm always on the look out for new techniques, particularly stuff like sewing up seams invisibly and such.
I can learn from pictures and videos; reading is okay, but I prefer to see and imitate. Most useful stitch I learned was the chainless dc. It really does work well, especially in the round. Somehow, you eliminate the seam when you join into a chainless dc too.
Come to think of it, I do have a book on Crochet Edgings. Don't really use, but I might do for my Shadow Box project. ^^

Lace on your shadow boxes will look so good. heart I love the foundation sc. It makes the project look professional. I've always hated starting with the chain row and then sc into the ch row. Yuck. And it takes away the unsightly puckering.
