 Violet, a daughter of a multi-billion dollar horse owner/racer, was sitting in her conversational French class. She was looking out the window wondering what her crush felt about her. Did he feel the same way or not? She had to find out sometime. Though with her tomboyish ways, not many guys would date her for long. As class was dismissed she went to the front of the school to wait on her ride home. All of the other girls were always cracking jokes about her. They would call her names like horse girl and cowgirl behind her back. She didn't mind it though as she was part of a prestigious family that she seemed more sad and lonely than anything.

 Kino just moved in from Japan a few months back as he was getting used to his new home and clothes he had to wear for school. he noticed he was popular in his class for his 'looks' but he didn't care. Kino walked out the school his hair down long and red as he begins walking home

Violet's home was on the way to her school. She was practicing her jumping on her horse, Twilight Star. Kino would see her in the front. Violet was a very adept rider for her age. Then again she'd been riding since she could walk. Twilight was her mother's horse, but after Violet's mother died, Violet was Twilight's owner. Violet took after her mother in many ways. Though her mother's memory upset her as soon as her name, Rose, was mentioned, Violet was a fighter. She then saw Kino coming down the road and blushed as Twilight recused the jump after Violet turned her towards the gate. She sighed taking off her helmet, looking up at the sky sadly.

Kino was walking whistling as he looked at the girl on the horse as he stopped at the gate. "Why so sad on a animal?" he said as he looked up at Violet raising a brow as he was pretty curious on the matter

Violet had tears in her eyes. "It's nothing. Just some dust in my eyes." she was really upset because she missed her mother. She then got off of twilight and pet the horse's head gently. Twilight nudged her and rubbed her head against Violet's side. Violet smiled and said "That's my girl." she said as the solid black mare snorted and nuzzled Violet who giggled a bit sounding a nit sad as she wiped the tears from her eyes.

Kino raised a brow as he nods. "My name is Kino Miyazaki." he said as he looks at her extending his hand out to her.

Violet shook his hand saying "I'm Violet. Violet McLean." She smiled a bit glad her crush was talking to her finally.

Kino hears his phone chime. "Excuse me, I have to hurry home it was nice meeting you Violet." he said smiling a small smile before walking a bit fast as he needed to be home.

Violet watched him leave before she put Twilight to the barn for a break. Later she was sitting on the porch with a blanket over her shoulders trying to think of a way to ask Kino how he felt about her. She sighed asking for a sign.

Kino was out jogging as he needed to do his excersises. He hurries pasts the street as he pants pushing himself to his limits. He stops seeing the girl he saw today as he lets out a whistle to get her attention waving at her with a smile

Violet smiled before she waved back before coming over with the blanket over her. "Hey. What are you doing out in this part of town so late?" she said blushing a bit as she felt like she had butterflies in her stomach. She then looked at him with a smile.

"Im here for a work out as I run from my house all the way here and back." he said as he wipes his sweat from his forehead as he ties his hair in a ponytail. "I run other routes as well as it's good for stamina."

]"Well that sounds like quite a workout. Do you want something to drink? We have some bottled water if you want some." she said hoping he would say yes. She wanted to show him how she felt but didn't want him to get scared off. Her father was very protective of her and scared off every boy that liked her so far.

Violet smiled as she took him into the kitchen and got him a water. "Here you go. Sorry the house is a bit of a mess. Father is away for a few days and the maid had the day off so I'm the only one here for tonight." She said as she smiled blushing softly as she looked at him wondering what he might say.
