CAMPER FORM
Name: Imogene Ceridwen Grey
Alias: Iggy
Age: Nine
Gender: Female
Powers: Chlorokenisis
Aura: A clear, strong Cadimum with a brush-stroke-esque ring of Cersie
Appearance: To say that Iggy is small would be an understatement. In fact, she is so petite that she is often mistaken for a six year-old. She has a thin, slender body that will probably never fill out. Her extremities are the same, tiny feet and delicate hands with careful fingers and grimy fingernails. Iggy has wonderful creamy skin covered in freckles that you will never see under the smudges of dirt and paint. Iggy doesn't paint her nails like normal girls do. Instead, she paints any bit of skin she can reach! Daily baths are necessary when this girls gets it in her mind to make herself a canvas. It's not rare to find her covered in abstract swirls of color that flow from hand to hand.
Her face is open and heart shaped, with large, wide eyes set between two cute little ears that stick out just a bit too much. Her eyes are large and expressive, you don't need Empathy to read this little girl! What's so peculiar about them is that they don't match; The left eye is a deep green while the other is nearly brown. Dead center of this cute little face is a button nose and a wide, toothy grin. Framing everything is a mess of strawberry blonde locks that fall past her butt in a tumble. She normally throws it up in buns or pony tails, just to keep it out of the way, but should someone (her mother, usually) takes the time to brush it out, the thick, straight hair shines in a variety of natural blonds and reds.
Iggy hates clothes, so the clothes she does wear are loose and flowey. She dresses in natural materials all hand-made by her mother. Her attire usually consists of cotton dresses and crocheted shawls. What Iggy hates more than clothes is shoes. She will never wear them, and if you try and make her, she will throw a fit. The closest you will get to her wearing shoes are the pretty sole-less sandals her mom makes.
Her posture is that of utter relaxation. Iggy doesn't care about how people see her, what they think, what slouching will do to her back, or anything, for that matter. She is entirely carefree, drifting on the wind like a seed on the breeze.
Personality:
+ Passionate – Iggy seems to have boundless energy, and she puts all of it into the things she loves, be it people, her garden, or a particular art piece. She is dedicated to what she loves and can easily lose herself in it. Tying in with her obsessive trait, when Iggy finds something she's passionate about, it will take over her thoughts and actions, losing hours or even days without noticing.
+ Creative – Ideas are always racing through Iggy’s mind, often so fast, she can’t keep up! But what is born from that fast paced mind of hers is brilliant and beautiful. It is very rare for her to be stumped or have a creative block, though it does happen! She is very resourceful, give her something small, a simple detail, a small set of colors, and a mind-child will unfold into something unique.
- Obsessive - Iggy is utterly devoted to her work, it is not unlike her to spend hours or even days on a single project. Even if you manage to get her out of her room, you can bet she’ll bring it up. But her art isn't the only thing she obsesses over, anything that grabs her attention for longer than usual can become a victim of her obsessive actions. She's a very object-oriented child and will cling to anything she finds pretty. Boys, girls, your necklace, doesn't matter. If you get in the way of what she wants, you best move out of the way. Failure is not an option for Iggy. Creative blocks are simply obstacles needed to be overcome. Refusing to stare at a blank canvas and fume until an idea comes to her, she will simply put that project aside and do something else until her muse returns.
- Possessive - The only time that anger has ever effected Iggy is when her current obsession is threatened. Bullies can push her around, call her names, tear her pictures, whatever. None of that will faze her. She will move on. But take her paint book, or the kid she's crushing on, or the credit for her work, and this fiery little gypsy will put up one hell of a fight. Anything that is hers, is hers, even if it isn't. Being an only child, she was never taught to share. Scolding her only causes confusion and frustration.
- Selfish - Personal happiness is Iggy’s top priority and she has no problem with that. If she doesn't like a project, she’ll turn it down without a second thought. If her homework cuts into her personal time, well, I guess she’ll fail the class. This tends to cause problems with her and other people, but honestly, as long as she is happy, she doesn't really care how her actions effect those around her.
- Messy - Iggy is not dirty, but with so much going on it is not unheard of her to leave dishes in the sink, track paint or dirt on the floor, or miss a day or two of showering. Her clothes aren't neatly pressed, or her hair perfectly positioned. As long as she is comfortable, she doesn't mind about her appearance. She’s also unorganized, which results in forgotten chores, appointments, and deadlines. This can lead to a bit of conflict in her life, most of which she just shrugs off.
Hobbies:
+ Painting - Iggy has always been an expressive child, first displaying her feelings on walls with finger paints. Her parents let her do as she pleased, not wanting to hinder her creative spirit and so the artist was born. She deals mostly in oils and watercolors, which are the simplest to make. She prefers painting natural things, like landscapes.
+ Tattoo - This girl has never hesitated to use herself as a canvas. Simply astounded by the idea of having her art become eternal on someone's skin makes her shiver in excitement! She already has seven or so planned out for when she's old enough.
+ Gardening - Iggy only deals in all natural paints and inks so, in order to put her heart and soul into her pigments, she does everything by hand-- Which includes growing her own color-making plants and herbs! It all began in her father's herb garden, where she learned that cooking and creating are one in the same and even use some of the same ingredients! Iggy has gone out of her way to gather seeds for specific plants that, when treated, bring forth beautiful colors, using books from her local library.
History: Imogene was born to Starr and Stella Grey, a pair of peace-loving teens fighting the world’s problems with love. The small family lived in a small earthy home off the wages earned by Starr’s restaurant job and his wife’s crochet clothing. They were modest and relaxed, and raised their daughter in that manner. She was home schooled by her mother, but her education is the bare minimum at best.
It was rare that Iggy left her childhood home, and being too far from the closest houses, the only friends she had were the strangers she'd meet on the monthly occasion when her father would take her into town with him for shopping. They made a whole day of it. Momma would make a big breakfast for the two and off they'd go with their sack lunches. They'd but essential non-perishables first. Toiletries, light bulbs, whatever they might need that month. Then they'd eat their lunch at the town park, where Iggy would get her socialization with other children. Sometimes, she'd make friends, others she made enemies. (Pause)
Iggy was never told no by her parents, in that they wished for her to learn from her mistakes and make decisions on her own. So, when the tiny tot decided the walls of her room needed more color, not only was she not reprimanded, she was encouraged. Without the money most families had, Iggy often improvised, using jellies and mud until she was old enough to leave the house. Once old enough to wander outside, Iggy spent most of her time in her father's garden and rarely left it, spending hours singing to the flowers that would eventually become her paints. Her parents were in awe of her natural ability with plants. Her flowers grew bright and plentiful, her herbs healthy and strong. But when all the flowers began changing colors, they began watching their daughter a little closer. When asked, she explained that when she sang to them, the flowers would react! Curious, she demonstrated, singing a dark, sad tune to a rose bush. To their utter surprise, the petals turned blue! Why blue, they asked. Because blue is the hardest color to make, of course!
Simply amazed by their daughter and her talent, the Grey's left books and other research around the house to her to stumble upon herself. Their daughter was psychic, a blessing for sure! It was because of them she found the brochure for Murmuring Pines and days later was dropped off at their doorstep with her paintbox and backpack as a new canvas ready for color!
