For anybody who was paying any attention to Nintendo this evening, some of you might have seen their latest Nintendo Direct, focused solely on the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. For anyone who made it all the way to the end of the video, you'll have realized why I made this topic in the first place.

In case it hasn't dawned on you just yet, Smash fans can now [finally] rejoice over the return of another veteran fighter hailing from the Melee installment, the one and only Mewtwo!

Mewtwo has been announced as free DLC for Super Smash Bros and is set to be released in Spring of 2015. There is a catch however; you must own both Super Smash Bros for 3DS, and Super Smash Bros for Wii U to receive Mewtwo when it is released.

How many of you guys are avid Mewtwo fans? Was it your go-to fighter in Super Smash Bros Melee? Were you upset at his exclusion from Super Smash Bros Brawl? Personally, I'm not a fan of Mewtwo at all, but at least now all of the cries and tears of those who coveted this Pokemon can now be calmed...well, until after they get over Ridley not being a playable character.

This thread just reminded me of this video, Super Smash Bros Wii U: Failed Character Auditions: Part 2-Mewtwo... that line.... emotion_awesome "Where's your Arceus now?" lol.

I was a fan of mewtwo back in melee days (the pokemon fan in me was strong... still is, heck, I main Charizard just because of that life of running with a Charizard in any game it was possible to get him).

I just hope the redone Mewtwo turns out good, since it seems like he won't be running with the same moveset that he was in melee self since he's being redone from scratch (but knowing SSB, my expectations won't be too high, wouldn't be too surprised if they claim to be making Mewtwo from scratch, and then on release date we find out Mewtwo is a clone of Lucario's moveset)

At the very least, the hype for it has died down.
