Hi Girls, just share any advice that you have on your mind for relationships. I've never had a real love relationship sweatdrop, but I like to hear advice...
People say we learn more about ourself and become wiser after a breakup, because there is a lesson learned...
You can also give advice for people that are single. Should single people go look for love on a dating website ? Stuff like that.

Advice for Relationships:
Are we talking about the long term ones that have a happily ever after, meaning and family involved.
Are we talking about short lived ones that have extreme consequences when s**t goes wrong?
Should you use dating websites? Maybe? I think we might be a little to dependent on hiding behind screens that dating people you've met through dating sites seems so pointless. People should actually go back to talking to each other and rebuilding family structures.

I'm still formulating the ideas myself. And none of this is inherently concrete.
I think one has to reject the hook-up culture, go back to the days of courting. Talk to people face to face, communicate your goals and future together, try and figure out what both people want. It's gonna take time, but you have to be willing to work through it.

There's no shame is using a dating website to find someone. In today's world with the internet available, why not use it? "Use every advantage you can for the sake of love" is what I'd say because I'm cheesy and love cheesy things.
My experience: emotion_bigheart Choose the nice guy, not the "bad boy" if the decision presents itself. Sweet guys tend to know better how to make you feel special. I had to choose at one point, and I chose wrong. Bad boy cheated on me and nice guy got super SUPER, OMG like Ryan Gosling, HOT. He was handsome before, but now he's just ridiculously good looking. emotion_bigheart Don't care what other people say if you're partner is uniquely beautiful. If you're happy, and he treats you right, ignore what everyone else says. I regret letting my friends talk me out of dating a guy I thought was cute because they didn't think so. emotion_bigheart
Have sex when you feel ready. I got pressured twice by two different guys and I'm glad I said no to both of them. I just wasn't ready yet.
Only because I've read so many things and this sort of thing scares & saddens me: emotion_donotwant Zero tolerance for domestic violence. Leave him if he ever hurts you. It doesn't EVER start bad, it progresses. Eventually, you'll be so used to it that you end up in a very abusive relationship. Please don't stay with him.

I tried a paid online dating service for one week and I unsubscribed (the subscription was 3 months). I got annoyed really quickly. Even if I put specification in my profile that I'm looking for man at a certain age range, there was someone of like 20 years more than me that send me comments every day. I got annoyed. With my personality, I can't deal with dating website. Receiving annoying mails, I looked at the single men profiles, talked to a few that looked interesting, but after talking to them they were not interesting at all. Logging in everyday to check who is interested in me, or read my message was becoming irritating.
Anyways, that's just me.

I'm sorry it didn't work out. Maybe try a more informal dating system like tinder? I don't really know. I never tried it, and I don't have any experience with dating sites. My cousin found a nice girl on OKCupid. You could try that if you want. Do what feels right for you, darling!

Dating sites work for some, they don't work for others. I've heard many success stories, and even people who have been together 8+ years because they met here on Gaia of all places (read a lot of these stories with the marriage system was introduced). Dating online isn't a bad thing, it doesn't take away anything from a relationship other than the physical aspects (and even then sometimes you're close enough to meet up with the person every now and then) if you're willing to work for it. Long distance can be hard, it's not for everyone, but many people have found a way to make it work.
Personally I feel like conversing over the internet takes the pressure off because you don't necessarily need to be "present" the entire time to keep up the conversation. Face to face you have to keep a conversation going, you have to seem interested even if you're not. At least online you can walk away, while in person you might feel pressured or obligated to stay and suffer through the date even if you know for a fact that you don't want to continue seeing that person. But like I said, this is how I personally feel, it may not be the same for someone else, but I thought I might share how I view the situation to you.
As for how dating sites are, it really just depends on where you go. You WILL get annoying messages from people you're not interested in, as they're all looking for someone, anyone. Some sites probably aren't as bad as others on that kind of thing, and maybe using a less formal site would be useful. I know there are even apps now for dating, but I have not used any so I don't have much advice on what apps/sites to go to.
People becoming wiser after a breakup is a given. It certainly doesn't happen to everyone, some people go through bad relationship after bad relationship and still don't "learn their lesson", but in general a breakup can teach you what to look for in your next partner. If it was a bad relationship there is a chance you'll be able to recognize red flags much faster in your next relationship. If you just didn't like some things that your partner did, you'll know what to avoid the next time around. All and all, relationships are always a learning experience. From friends to partners to families, you learn from these people and grow dependent on the knowledge you've acquired. You learn for yourself what you actually want. Whether or not you find it is a whole other story.
There are short and long terms. If you wanna get engaged or married there are steps too take also if you sty with that person for 4 years like my big sister yeah something good might happen but then again I maybe a little wrong about that. It all depends on who you are with./size]
