- Born to a mother who never really wanted her, she was thrown away like garbage in the ally ways of London. Luckily she was found by a poor man who had been scavenging for food. He took the child to a church where he was staying and the ladies of the church gladly took her in. They raised the child, as a daughter of the church. The man who found her, Joesph, named her Rosalinda and the church let her take his last name. The man was proud of her and treated her as his daughter.
Cloud began to grow up and unfortunately at the age of eight, her biological father and his wife came to claim their child. They had found a section in the paper that the nuns had sent in, talking about the remarkable little girl in a trash can and how she had been saved by Joesph, a loving, but poor, man of the church. At first the Church refused to let the man take Cloud, but a legal battle ensued. The courts said it would be best for her to be raised by a her own, wealthy family, rather than a poor man and a church. Her family gave her a new name, Alice Lovette.
Her father had cheated on his wife with the woman who was her mother, and although his wife was very angry, it pleased her to get that woman's child. The woman treated her own children far better than she did Cloud, and Cloud often just got hand me downs and broken toys the other children didn't want, while her fathers 'legitimate' children got whatever they asked for. Cloud didnt mind. She was used to not the best things and although she missed Joesph and the nuns of the church, she was content.
Through the years she received a lot of mental abuse from both her 'father's' wife and her children. Her father even sometimes joined in the jeers, comparing her to her "ugly wench of a mother" and it only progressed. After a while she would get physically abused by her half-siblings, and her guardians did nothing to stop it. She knew she wasn't wanted, and was just a joke to them. At age thirteen, Cloud was depressed and hated herself. The constant insults and abuse were too much and Cloud ran away. She ran back to the church. The nuns were shocked at her state and took the child in once again, Joesph was contacted and was enraged by what had happened in the few years. Soon the police were contacted and so was her father. Cloud was too afraid to speak to anyone. Cloud was marked a couple weeks later and they thought it might be for the best for her to get a new start.
Unfortunately the mental damage was done and she was extremely depressed and insecure. She had to move away from London, away from her Joesph, and to the Cambridge house of night. She didn't talk to anyone. She took the name Cloud Rosalinda Maverly. Eventually she was befriended by a boy in about the same condition as herself, Fang. The two hit it off and slowly he helped her open up and start talking once again. Their romance bloomed through out the years she was there and oh she loved him. However when they turned into Vampyre's they went their separate ways.
Cloud lived with Joesph for a while after, still quiet, only opening up to Joesph. Eventually she found her love in singing and decided to travel the world, learning music. Eventually she ended up at this house of night, as the Choir Teacher. Although shes very good at hiding it, Cloud has developed an eating disorder over the years, and still suffers with depression.

- Cloud is a sweet soul. She is a quiet person but when she opens her mouth to sing, she can blow you away. She is critical of singing. Cloud is very very self conscious and depressed. She may seem a little aloof at times but she is capable of happiness and love. Shes very loyal though she chooses to stay away from people as to not get hurt.
