So since Lily is too lazy to make this post, it apparently befalls on me.
So, coffee shop AU, where everyone is human and in college but that's the only change. Also, they're all regular old people. Here we go (I'll organize these later tbh):
- The Ekats and the Tomas run rival coffee shops across the street from each other.
- In the Ekaterina's Coffee Corner, Naomi is manager and Averill is a new workers.
- Sylvia is a "recipe maker", aka she doesn't actually do much and usually sleeps in the breakroom, but somehow she always has her work done anyway.
- Kili and Ella are regulars at the shop, to the point that one day they were simply given aprons and orders.
- End is a regular at the Coffee Corner. He comes in wearing a different mask every day. Nobody knows what he looks like. This is because he's a very famous pool-player and can't let anyone know his true identity.
- Muna and Shanta are also regulars at the coffee shop, mostly because Muna likes watching End come in every day. Shanta is mostly cool with it because free wifi.
- Shanta is disabled and in a wheelchair. Muna uses a device called BiJAN that he types into to speak. You can also ask it questions, but it gives angry sarcastic responses. For this reason, Shanta and Muna typically text a lot.
- The Cuppa Joe store across the street is run by the Tomas, with Aerykah as manager. Din and Gage work the counter, with Vivian writing on the board with cute chalk flowers and terrifying customers with her slasher smile.
- The Cuppa Joe and Coffee Corner are only rivals in name, because the managers hate each other.
- Shanta and Muna are childhood friends who ended up being roommates at Merlin University because the college people thought Muna was a girl. For this reason, Muna keeps a dress on hand to wear during inspections.
- Ella and Kili originally came to the shop because it was a nice place to read. Averill often watches her and every day practices to say she looks nice today, but ******** up every time. It's gotten to the point that Naomi is considering coaching him to talk to girls.
- End always leaves great tips.
- Silas is usually standing at the window wondering if he should get coffee today.
- Charlotte is the most normal customer. She doesn't even want to go to college, but her parents made her.
- Sometimes the Tomas kids organize infiltration plans to sneak into the Ekat's shop and get recipes. While Naomi finds this annoying, Sylvia always happens to be working the counter when this happens.
- Sylvia also remembers customers and knows what they like. Naomi tries to do the same, but she ******** up.
- Muna only takes spicy coffee. Shanta takes hers with cinnamon. Also, since they're the most common customers, they're experimented on a lot with different coffee blends.
- Cinnamon, Sylvia's pet rabbit, is the Coffee Corner's mascot. It frequently gets in the beans.
- End was Averill's first customer. He was pumped like "YES GONNA SERVE COFF- what"
- Muna typically brings big newspapers or books to the coffee shop so he can side-eye End when he comes in. He doesn't like going in alone when End's around though, and will spam Shanta's phone until she arrives. Until then, he just waits outside the shop to the point that even Naomi invites him in.
- Coffee Corner's break room has Mario Kart. Sylvia is a god, while Averill and Naomi suck at it. Surprisingly, Kili and Ella are great, and the only ones that can hold their own against Sylvia.
- Also, Averill and Naomi get really into the game.
- Cuppa Joe's coffee isn't all that great, but Gage and Din always do showy stuff with the coffee. They toss pitchers, cups, do neato stuff with the beans, etc because that's how they think you make coffee.
- Gage always brings in customers because they're all like "the scary coffee guy drew a flower in my cappucino!!!"
- Naomi has tried to get her employees to recreate the tricks. That didn't go so well. All customers heard was screaming in the back room while Sylvia worked the counter and pretended nothing was out of the ordinary.
- Shanta and Muna went to the Tomas shop once, but surprisingly it was Shanta who felt uncomfortable and demanded to leave.
- Vivian stands outside the shop to invite people in. Half the time she's cheery and smiling, and the other half the time she's cheery and smiling except somehow it's creepy.
- Vivian is also great at manning the counter by herself, but somehow she still manages to unnerve customers.
- Gage always insists on cleaning the shop himself, since he doesn't want the others to get sick.
- Sylvia got sick once, and Cinnamon wreaked havoc on the store. She's always found in the beans. They only found her when customers started complaining their coffee tasted malicious.
- Cinnamon never gets into cinnamon, for some reason.
- End once said hi to Muna. Muna decided to disguise himself afterward because his heart couldn't take it. Shanta found it stupid, but she went with it anyway.
- Shanta was introduced to the store as "this is the place where the mask guy goes".
- Muna once spotted End on campus and sent Shanta a snapchat. The caption was '!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
- This was also the only day they skipped out getting coffee to trail End and find out where his dorm was. Turns out he rooms with Averill.
- Averill and End may be roommates, but they never see each other and don't know each other's names. When Shanta and Muna were sneaking around the room Averill was just like "guys wtf."
- The Lucian kids all work at a night club bar.
- The Janus kids work at a movie theater. Silas does a lot of cleaning to avoid the people at the lines, Krystal mans the tickets and snack bar, and Shanta runs movie reels because there isn't much else she can do in a wheelchair.
- Also, Ju Rin is a lazy piece of s**t that never does anything at the Cuppa Joe.
- Quinn is a liberal hippie that rarely shows up. When she does she apologizes because the stars were calling for her, she she has a lot of sick days.
- Quinn usually brings back weed, and the rest of the Janus are like "Quinn's back, let's celebrate". The next thing you know, it's like that video where a bunch of kids are hiding under a parachute while they smoke. (I'll link it if I find it later.)
- The Janus kids are the only ones that get high (and that's rare anyway).
- Someone once offered Muna weed, and Shanta hid it. She refuses to let Muna anywhere near it.
- Ari's dad owns the nightclub, Naomi's is the dean of the college, Runesteam works the theater, Amadi runs the Tomas coffee shop and Ardee runs the Ekat's.
- Muna watches a lot of horror movies, and Shanta gets him into movies for free because she knows he doesn't have a lot of money. He usually makes irrelevant comments after, such as "the heroine had a really inspiring personality."
- Once Shanta and Muna were hiding in the bushes for an operation and arguing the best way to progress. Vivian then said "Why are you hiding?" and they both jumped.
- On Halloween, the coffee shops take a survey of what customers fear. Muna wrote "Vivian". In response, the Cuppa Joe sent Vivian over to the Coffee Corner and paid her to buy coffee and sit there until closing. Shanta left, but Muna was too terrified to leave. Shanta eventually received a call that Muna was lying in the back room after burning his tongue on too much coffee. Her only responds when she came to pick him up was "You literally missed all your classes."
- Muna has no idea why people keep giving him bags of ground-up parsley. Nor why Shanta keeps insisted on taking it and either throwing it away or burning it.
- Shanta offers to tutor Muna again and again because he's pretty shitty in every class except his major.
- Muna is useless unless some bizarre problem or certain situation comes up. Shanta once woke up with a horrible bedhead the morning of a presentation and he solved it with some crisco.
- Shanta is studying to be a doctor along with Aerykah. Sylvia is going into culinary despite saying she hates it.
- Shanta has an outrageous amount of jewelry and Naomi has an outrageous amount of makeup.
- On slow days, the Ekats hold study sessions, but Naomi and Sylvia will only help if they're paid. They usually bounce questions off each other in a rapidfire Jeopardy game, and manage to make a decent amount of cash on the side because of it.
- Because of this, Coffee Corner gets a s**t ton of customers during exam season, and Aerykah is like GUYS WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING. Gage and Din up the flashy tricks and Vivian suggests custom coffee mixes. Gage isn't allowed to come in unless he looks really good and is forced to socialize with the girls. Din is also dressed up in a variety of cute costumes to draw in more customers. Meanwhile, Vivian both charms and terrifies customers into buying coffee.
- At the bar, Ari, Muna and Charlotte are impossible to get drunk, so a lot of people buy drinks for them. Charlotte is pretty popular because she's literally the only normal bartender. Ari flirts with everyone, regardless of gender. There's something about Muna that make people sob out their life story and grow fond of him.
- Muna often slips out and visits his friend the Merchant, who does business behind the club. The Merchant sells condoms, alcohol, test answers, drugs, and more. Nobody understands the relationship between Muna and the Merchant.
- The Merchant once showed up at the Coffee Corner and scared pretty much all the customers away. Sylvia was the only one other than Muna that seemed totally unfazed. Naomi recommended the shop across the street, so the Merchant visited only to get creeped out by Vivian.
- For some reason, the Cuppa Joe attracts a lot of weirdos. Vivian and Gage take care of it quickly, and as a result most people visit the Coffee Corner only because the scary blonde girl and the scary armless guy aren't there.
- The Blood Pact is just a group of extremist students that nobody listens to.
I MIGHT EDIT THESE LATER HOLY s**t THAT TOOK FOREVER.
