- Reine was born in France to Olga and Henri Yves. Her parents, respectively a pianist and dancer, moved the family all over the world, leaving Reine with a universal idea of home. Although her parents love her, they were very strict, which led to many rebellious acts on the part of their only daughter. Their intent on grooming her to perfection resulted in motivating her to move away from home to escape their micro-domination. Thus, when she was accepted to a high school in New York, she jumped at the opportunity.
She was just beginning to settle into her new life when she was marked and her parent organised for her to attend the LA House of Night.

- Reine is a solitary person, intent on perfecting her skills. She rarely thinks other people worth her time, categorising socialising at the bottom of her priority list. However, she is seeking a change in her life and might be more open to making friends than she has previously been. Her cold personality is mostly due to her upbringing and since she moved to New York there have been some changes.
She loves all forms of art; including dance, painting, reading and writing, playing the piano, cello and violin.
