If you guys had noticed that the main theme for book 3 and book 4 is on about how "the world doesn't need the avatar anymore" I have this feeling Korra somehow can "end" the avatar cycle without actually dying and reincarnating. She must had learned a safe way to extract Raava from herself since Vaatu is inside of Raava.

I highly doubt that. The only reason that Raava came out in the first place was because of Harmonic Convergence. There's no safe way to remove a part of your own spirit.
