SFG- Steal From the Giant, Relics are protected by a strong creature of Grimm, each unique in shape and size. (You will have to work together.)
The giant Arachna, a spider like Grimm creature, protects the relics in a part of the forest where giant webs cover the trees. The Archna is a giant black spider with bone armor plating all over its back and legs. It can call for smaller Grimm spiders called Crawlers.
Azalea shuffled from foot to foot nervously, fiddling with the corner of her leather apron. Against her hip rested the handle of her weapon, Danilaxe, a shotgun/pickaxe combination. She had turned up a little bit early, because, well, it could make a good impression to be on time.
It had been a while since she arrived at the academy, but this was her first real day of training. And it was another test! I already had to do so many tests just to get here! And now there is ANOTHER one?? She complained inwardly, closing her eyes and tilting her head back in exasperation. But this one won't be so bad- I'll have help! Maybe even friends! She reassured herself.
Digging the electronic notepad out of one of her apron pockets, she studied the details. "Team VAST, aye." She pulled a face at the team name. "Vast? Vast as in, gigantic? God! Why not just call us 'team fatso' and get it over with!" She complained to herself and grumpily shoved the little notepad back into her pocket.
OOC: Evening, teammates! I'm Australian, so my spelling might seem a little bit British now and again, and also, I'm probably going to be on during seemingly strange times! But I'm sure we can make it work!
Völundr walked into the clearing where he was to meet the other members of teem VAST and it seemed like one of them was already there a girl in pink with brown hair a human holding what looked like a pickaxe he looked around to see if anyone else was there and it was just them. Völ made sure that the straps that held hid wings hidden where okay before he walked over to her "Hello its nice to meet you, my name is Völundr Ukko Karna I look forward to working with you"

His feet were planted on the ground as he stood right outside of the teams range. His eyes stared to the ground a bit as he stepped forward slowly and swept his hair to the side, it seemed like he knew one of them as he took steps towards the two as he smiled, and put on hand on his hip. "Greetings." He said as his body bent to the side in a stretch. "This seems to be a great team from the start. " He told excitedly while taking his rose into his mouth while he closed his eyes smiling.
Azalea grinned at the two arrivals, taking pains not to check her watch. If they were late, she didn't want to be scolding them for it on their first day! That would give a terrible impression!
"Hello Voul..Vuul...Vo-... Hello Mister Karna!" She gave up on trying to pronounce his first name. Umlauts were hard, and she could never quite tell which sound the vowel actually was. "I look forward to working with you too!' She gave him a salute, because shaking hands was for sissies.
She blinked as the redhaired boy didn't introduce himself, but then realized she hadn't said her own name, either. "Oh! I nearly forgot to introduce myself! Heh! I'm Azalea Gemstone." She admitted her mistake and laughed a little, giving them both an awkward smile.
Watching Yukimura put a rose in his mouth, she raised an eyebrow. Her eyes flicked to Karna, wondering if he also thought their redheaded teammate was a bit odd. "Are you...eating....that...?" She tilted her head, confused. It was a nice looking flower, sure, but she didn't understand why you'd bother taking it into a battle.
I guess theres only one teammate left to arrive, and then we'll get started... She thought offhand, eyes flicking around to try to spot them.
Völundr took a few steps away from the group despite his mentors best efforts he still wasn't comfortable around humans and the odd behavior of there new companion wasn't helping "My name is Völundr Ukko Karna I look forward to working with you" he said after Azalea was done introducing herself. Völ was curious as to what they would have to do what they would have to face to pass this test so he looked at the message one more time but all he got was that it was some kind of retrieval mission and from what hes heard of the Emerald Forest what ever they had to do it was not going to be easy.
Völundr pulled six rifle clips four pistol clips and the pistol an all-black Five-seven out of the bag on the side of his belt setting them on the ground he then checked each clip to make sure they where fully loaded and working correctly he then checked the pistol by first ejecting the clip and replacing the first round in it with a snap cap to test the the clip as well as the loading mechanism and the firing pin and when he was satisfied he put everything back except the pistol he put that in the holster on his back he then reached for his rifle Raiden it was hooked to the back of his belt he hit a button and the stock and the grip popped out and the dock arms released as he brought it around he hit another button and the rest of it folded out and he started going over it

The rose tapped his tongue twice as he brushed his hair to the side while his eyes closed and he smiled, the teammates seemed nice enough. He was anticipating what was to come next as everyone seemed to be looking at him a bit strange. Did he come on too strong? Was the act of him holding the rose awkward? Though he was pondering it, he became suddenly intrigued with the gun that was checked in which the male had. He looked at it with an emerald gaze before shaking his head lightly and put his hand on his nose bridge, "Sorry, I am Yukimura Tokugawa. It's a pleasure." He told before turning back to the advanced piece of weaponry. "That weapon, it's a nice piece of work. Could you tell me the features on it?" He asked while smiling brightly. His hand entering his pocket, stretching his neck. On his back was a pole that looked to be basic and bland.
Azalea frowned a little as Karna said exactly the same thing as he had less than a minute ago, then began tending to his guns. She wondered if he knew any other greetings. Great. A dysfunctional robotic-acting boy who doesn't know how to have a conversation, and a redhead who looks like they don't have any weapons at all. She mused to herself, discretely nonplussed. "You know, if we get launched into the forest while you've got your weapon all spread out like that, one of you is going to lose an eye." She quipped, trying to nudge the boys to pay attention to their surroundings rather than geek out over fancy weaponry. "I sure hope our final team member turns up in the next minute, because the springboards are due to go off soon." She muttered, looking around anxiously. She checked her electronic tablet device, and her eyes widened. It was actually less than 20 seconds until they were scheduled to be ejected. "Tokugawa, Karna, I hope you're ready!" She gritted her teeth and gave them a slightly frightened grin as she felt the springboard beneath them hum into gear. And I hope I'm ready, too! She inwardly added.
((OOC: Our final team member does not even have a fully constructed profile, let alone accepted, so I don't know how they got assigned to us. Lets go on with the RP without them, and they can catch up later))
Völundr had just finished checking his rifle when Azalea had warned them about being launched into the forest he barely had enough time to brace himself before the springboard started to hum with life he looked to Yukimura and said "ill tell you about it when this is all over" then smiled as he looked out at the forest in a few seconds he would be as close to flying as he would ever be
Frost had gone a bit loco and had stolen someone else's spring board and was already launched into the Emerald Forest. As he waited for his team to show up, if they ever could and survive, he would met up with them. But he passed his time with hunting Grimm. Off in the distance a hand full of full grown trees toppled to the ground just randomly from the perspective of where his teammates were. Frost was taking one a small pack of Beowulfs. Switching from a Ti Jutsu fighting stance to a kick boxing stance had side stepped and sucker punched a grim causing it to slam into the ground and slide the rest of the way from its charge as Frost swung his entire body around and dealt a heavy kick to a leaping Grim the was not just met with his foot but also a blast of Lighting Dust filling the air with a static feeling and then knocking the Grim into another tree that bent the creaked as it fell down and blocked the path to Frost from the other Grim he was fighting. "Aw no fun." He said as he dropped his fighting stance then vanished into the forest as he soon held up somewhere as he waited for his team to deploy.

As he looked to his female companion who was ever so anxious to begin this journey. His smile increased before removing the rose from his lips and leaning forward in a bow into a ready stance. He then nodded to her as she asked if they were prepared. He felt the anxiousness becoming contagious, ready to try his abilities on the battlefield against actual grimm, instead of just dummies. His hand went to the side holding the rose while his other , partner gave him a smirk and a remark. He chuckled as the spring clicked. "Let us begin." He called out as he allowed the spring to fling the three towards the deep forest. His hand was clutched onto the Rose as he soared through the air, his body allowing the wind to seep through him and his eyes to clench tight in joy. The rose dropped into the depth as he free fell for moments at a time. His body, near the forest top, was pulled down by a giant vine. The fine sprouted others that slapped branches off until it hung him upside down from the trees. He then was dropped onto his hands and flipped onto his feet, awaiting the others.
Azalea yelped as she was flung into the air, barely managing to grab onto her pickaxe and hold it close to her body. She flew in a fairly uncoordinated way, and felt a little bit sick as she watched the landscape slide out underneath her. It was not nice to be so far away from the ground, so she tried to flip herself sideways, to look at her teammates. Her attempt failed, and instead she just ended up turning over and over in the air. "Waaaaaaaaaahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa" Her voice probably rung out over the forest as she clawed her way back to an acceptable falling position.
And then, suddenly, the trees were right up in her face. Her eyes widened and she curled into a ball, instinctively crystallizing. Leaves, branches, snapping, cracking, splintering as she smashed through them like some human cannonball. The little round pink ball of Azalea thudded into the ground, a bunch of broken branches and leaves tumbling down ontop of her.
Silence, for a few seconds.
"uuuurgh..." A girls voice groaned from underneath the pile of rubble. Two hands poked up through the fallen branches, pushing them aside. Azalea crawled out rather clumsily, as if her joints were still hardened in places. She dragged her pickaxe behind her. "I am not a fan of traveling by air..." She moaned to herself, and felt her body heave as if to be sick. She suppressed it, and reassured herself that everything was okay. She was on the ground now, and that was familiar and kind.

Frost soon found a small pack of Ursa's and then preceded to do his usual. There was a small explosion that sounded throughout the Forest as Frost as cratered the ground slightly with the corpse of a Ursa as he turned on the others. "Who's next." He said with a smug smile as he bounced on the balls of his feet in a fighting stance as another Ursa charged him but was met with a lihgitng quick upper cut that stunned it then was knocked away like a child with a toy by a fierce and powerful kick to center mass killing the Grim. Frost was started by a girl falling from the sky and landing not far from him but he quickly turned his attention back to the last Ursa who took a swipe at him but missed nearly as Frost rolled to the side and then spun around and landed a powerful heel kick to the Grimm's head and tossed it towards the girls location. "Hm welp they must of finally showed up." He said as he walked over to the girl and the barely alive Grimm.

She peeked past the ursa, and saw a boy with short flame-coloured hair. "What are you playing at, throwing an ursa at me!?" She shouted at him and shook her fist, but her face was all smiles. She had found their final team member! Azalea walked around the quickly evaporating carcass of the ursa and held out a hand. "Honestly! Next time you're pitching, at least tell me that we're playing baseball!" She laughed and held out a hand "Azalea Gemstone. I believe you're my teammate, yes?"

Frost looked at the girl and smiled at her joke and was about to shake her hand when the Ursa let out a pained whimper, Frost then turned and curb stomped the Grimm's head and thoroughly killing it. "That wasn't me pitching that was me kicking. You would never dodge something that was pitched by me." He said then grabbed her hand and shook it. "I'm Frost, I'm guessing I'm the Teams heavy hitter?" He asked quizzically as he looked Azalea's face over.
