Ask the Staff Best Practices
S.O.P. recommends the following:
Be respectful to both the Staff and other Gaians. Not just for Ask the Staff -- always! Check to see if any thread rules are listed in the first post. If there are, read before replying. Write out your questions in advance, and review carefully before the thread goes up. No matter how hurt or angry you are about an issue, keep your questions civil. If you can't phrase a question politely, ask a Guildmate for help. If you really can't phrase a question politely, don't ask it. If your question gets skipped, don't sweat it. This will likely be an extremely high-traffic, fast-moving thread. However, the Staff Update also indicates it won't be the last -- save your questions for the next time!

Plot, Plotholes and Plotbunnies
I miss Meili! Is there a way that Gaia could revive her son, or any other possibility of Meili returning?
With the exception of Louie, most of the storekeepers haven't appeared in the plot for a very long time. Ian, Rufus, Sasha, Ruby, Peyo... what have they been up to? When will we hear from them again?
Will there be more items related to Nyx and Gaia? For example, will we get an SDPlus Doll for Gaia the goddess?
Will zOMG NPCs, like Katsumi and Maestro, ever appear in the main plot? Katsumi would have been a natural fit for the summer event!
Manga, Kickstarters and Other Events
How will the outcome of the kickstarter affect the Halloween event? From the way the global tiers are worded, it sounds like we'll only get trick-or-treating unless we reach those top two tiers. Is this true?
The shopkeeper NPCs are going to be wearing new Halloween costumes this year, right? Any hints on what we'll see?
It's been stated repeatedly that there will be no new development for zOMG!, but what about its storyline? Will we ever see a continuation or conclusion in the manga?

Is Ivan's time-traveling plot a one-off storyline, or can we hope for more events exploring Gaia's past while the Airship Saga continues?

Ivan's time-traveling storyline is an event storyline that won't be mentioned in the Manga, however it will include backstory for some of the oldest citizens.
How likely are we to have an event that actually ties into the plot ever again?

Very likely! Chances are 50/50- We don't want to alter the plot in anyway to wrap around an event so we need the right moment in the storyline to have Gaians participate.
Will we ever use the battle system developed for last Halloween again? It was awesome and I want to be able to use it.

We have been revisiting elements from the old Battle System, but we will be using new code moving forward!
The war in the kickstarter sounds like it's at the focal point of the Halloween plot. Why was it set at a far-stretched tier?

It's a huge thing that we want to add and we believe that Gaians will be about to hit it!
How do you guys plan on "re-prioritizing" the manga?

The prioritization is based on other items that need to be made as well as image assets for features and projects. There are times when a feature or product actually requires the advance of the manga, in which case it gets very high priority.
Why are there so many mini-plots that seem disconnected from the main storyline? First we had the summer spirit rivalry, now we have Ivan's spur-of-the-moment time travel adventure. We want to see more of Gino's saga and his impending conflict with Nyx -- why are we getting these mini-plots instead?

Hi Dragon! As a fellow fan of the comic, I'm glad to see so many requests to tie in the main storyline. Its definitely something we plan to do in the future.
We do have a number of events that don't include the main storyline or characters because:
a. We don't want to neglect all of the other characters that aren't in the main plot at the current moment.
b. We don't want to bend or manipulate the plot just to suit it to an event that ties in a holiday.

Hello staff. I have noticed that some of the older NPCs, including several of the characters from the Zurg event, have lost their usernames--instead, they are now listed as "User X" where X stands for their account number. Some of them have also lost their NPC status, including the [NPC] tag before their name and their red username.I have made a list here with some of the accounts that are affected.
Would it be possible to give them back their names? Although these accounts are no longer active, they hold special memories for many of us, and it would mean a lot to us if they could be restored.

Yes, we’ll fix that. We changed their names for some event teasers we did a while back.
Could we get more detailed descriptions on the kickstarter global rewards? We want to know how our gold can affect the manga and events!

Seeing user discussion/questions and activity on the forums over story- whether its event, manga or NPC related helps us know that Gaians are interested!
In the manga, Gaia says that Gino is the last of the Gambino bloodline. But what about LabTech X, who was revealed to be Johnny's clone? Is there more to this story, or is X simply dead outside of zOMG?
