Well, hello lovelies! I'm Professor Reynolds, and I'll be teaching you this year!
I'm considered an enchanter, by definition, but Miss Bellis is practically a textbook mage so Headmaster Soulstone thought I'd be an excellent balance to help you decide which path to go on after this! Enhancing is my passion, and I hope to make it yours as well!
Now, I only have a short year to give you a taste of what it's like to be an enhancer, so we'd better get down to business shouldn't we? This year we're mostly going to be covering objects and materials so you won't have to deal with a lot of that in your later years - you'll just have to learn tricks for channeling or building or what-have-you. For that reason, we'll be primarily referring to The Properties of Natural Materials from the library. This year is all about learning what things do when connected with magic.
What sort of things will I expect from you? Not very much, fortunately for you, m'dears. Just pay attention in my class. In the first semester, we're just going to focus on learning the properties of different materials. In the second, well, that's when you'll start learning some of the shared aspects of enchanting and magery. Both deal with materials, so it's crucial that you know what happens when certain objects are channeled through or infused with magic.
I can't truly think of much else to say. I'm in my office at all times, so if you need to ask me a question or just want to chat, my door will be open! I hope you enjoy my class, lovelies. <3
