As you can see, we are starting back the questions of the week. It used to be QOTD but I figured with everyone's busy schedule, a day is just not enough time to check out each question. If there are some repeat questions, I apologize. So without further adieu...

What’s the most number of times you have had to frog and restart a project?

Personally, I frog a first time project at least 4 or 5 times just to get the pattern straight. lol. But I guess the one that I would consider the most I've ever frogged was a tapestry blanket for my niece. I was crocheting words in it and halfway done I ended up frogging nearly the entire project because of one mistake. cat_gonk I'm a little more careful now. cat_4laugh

The last hat I worked on, I had to frog the thing about 4 times.

At first, I thought I had the round count right, then about 3 or 4 rounds up, I'd be off in stitch and realise that round 1 was the problem!

Then there were later rounds where I'd come up to the last decrease and be less 1 stitches. Of course, I had to frog that round and the previous one to find out what increase I'd missed. >.<

In any event, I was frustrated with it at the time, but glad in the end, because:
1) it forced me to be more careful
2) it looked better every time I restarted

I learned a lot about keeping my work neat and tight and was reminded never to crochet when tired - your gauge goes all to kingdom come and then of course, you have to frog your uneven stitches, lol

PS: Do they call it "frogging" because it makes you hopping mad? 4laugh
