- Chase did not come from a wealthy family but he never went to bed hungry. His life in Seattle was built around honesty, as brutal as it might be. Both of his parents were satisfied with their lives and their marriage. They were so hilariously polar opposite in a number of ways though. His mother, Daphne, came from a respectable household and raised her son as a gentleman. Jared though, came from a family where every member fended for his or herself. He taught his son a practice he had spent his own years learning. He had been quite the philanderer in his youth and had a number of lovely female companions until he met Daphne and settled down. But the man did not want his son going into life and embarrassing himself in relationships. The skills he taught his son are still being used by Chase to this day.
Because of his upbringing though, he was a well liked child in school, whether it was by teachers because of his manners and respect to authority. Or by other kids because he always seemed comfortable and in control. Easily into his high school year things were going well. He had good grades and a small group of friends he got along with.In his junior high years he had found his passion, though, something he found was an activity he could loose himself and the world in. Chase learned the art of dance and fell in love. He convinced his parents to pay for classes and once they saw he was a natural, they supported him well through the years. One of his salsa instructors was convinced his pupil would eventually get a scholarship if so desired.
It was not the case, however, when he was found by a vampire tracker. Being turned into a fledgling did not deter his goals, however. Only put them on hold. Many colleges were hesitant to give a vampire a scholarship, too afraid to let a blood-sucker among their students. But Chase was never angry about the fact that he had been marked. He still took the on campus dance class every year, sharpening his skills with every step. The high priestess of the Washington House of Night said that when he completed the change, as she was convinced he would, he had a shot at being a partner to the current dance instructor. An offer he did not mind, seeing as the instructor was a lovely and extraordinarily flirtatious woman.
When Chase did in fact go through the Change, he stayed at the House for a year or two before a letter came from the Hollywood House. They were on the search for new instructors and asked for any that could fill the available rolls. His High Priestess convinced him to send in his information, which was quickly accepted. It did not take him long to pack his things and leave. Now he teaches the thing he loves most there, while stealing a few hearts on the sidelines.

- Chase is a very subtle kind of dangerous. He is not the monster that you tell your kids about at night. He is a gentleman, raised with manners and chivalry since he could walk. He was also taught how to work his way under a woman's skin in a way she is completely comfortable with. He is well aware of how to treat women how they want to be treated. Because he is also aware of the fact that if he gives them what they want emotionally...Well then he will reap his own benefits physically. Chase has never had much longer than a few weeks to a relationship. Becoming emotionally invested has always seemed like a trap and an anchor in his life. Sure, some of his companions have not been exactly appreciative of his true motives, but he had never felt too much guilt before sleeping.
However, all bets are off while he is dancing. Although Chase is well aware that dancing is a very well known way of seduction. He also takes it extraordinarily seriously. While teaching he is focused and intent of giving his students the desired education. If they are purely there to mess around and because it seems cool, it is a better idea if they do not show up. When he sees a student with a true passion for the art, he is appreciative of them. He is a strict but patient teacher with newer students. If he is aware that a student has skills but are slacking off and making up excuses...well...he pushes them until they dance their heart out.
