- The Rakelle family line was never a poor nor rich blood. Until Alexander asked the hand of Morgan Fremont in marriage that is and she inherited the old money of her family at the time of her grandfather's passing. They both let their children grow in a way that accustomed them to being spoiled but never being snobs. Aureylian was born and immediately never had the fairest of chances in her lot of life. As the first and unexpected child, her parents hired a nanny while they worked to keep their cushion constant. Her nanny, however, was very kind, and cared for her late into her tween years. She woke the red heads photographic memory with gentle training and taught her how to use the end of her wits at a whim. Aureylian knew her family never approved of her methods of escape, be it a book in the darkness or heat of a fire. Early on she found that she understood mathematics. Where her parents were intimidated, she was fascinated. She found herself some how transferring her understandings of geometry and calculations into art. She has a talent of acute detail when it comes to sketching things. Especially people. But she never does self portraits.
Though Aureylian knew her brother Kaydn was extraordinarily more adored than she was, she was never jealous. He was the reason she stayed with her parents. She loved him too much to let him stay with their cold fish of guardians. When they were at the same school, she stood up for him and took the verbal hits thrown at her so he wouldn't. He was a bright, artistically talented student. He played the piano in a way that would make Beethoven jealous and painted in the style of Van Gogh. She was the shy nerd who got straight A's all through school but never bothered tutoring anyone. Why would they want her help? She outsmarted them all on several levels. Public school was one of the many reasons she has such a strong shell. The other was her parents, never keeping it a secret they never intended to have her. But the girl went on with her life, knowing eventually one or two things would have to happen. She would find herself free and into the world to do as she wished. Or she would be driven to madness and kill herself.
Neither of those things in fact happened. A third option she had never dreamed of entered her life. It was one of the days she was with Kaydn at the mall, back to school shopping. A strange man had been watching them and it caused her unease. Especially when he made his way over and said something she could not understand until a sharp pain in her forehead triggered it. She had been Marked as a fledgling. She was to be a vampire. Or die on the way there. And that thought terrified as well as thrilled her. No longer would she have to live under her parents. But she would also no longer get to talk until the late hours with her baby brother.

- In the world
On the outside, Aureylian is very isolated, very shy and very kept together. She stays away from mingling as much as she can because socializing has never been a grand skill of hers. She hides away in her room and in the nooks and crannies of the libraries. When you think of you, it is probably hard to think of much more than quiet. She does not believe she is beautiful so she hardly struts herself around. She is humble and puts others up before herself. Aureylian is often the first to arrive to class and first to leave. She does her homework, studies, works hard. You will hardly find her standing outside in a fight or heated argument.
Under the surface
As much of a peacemaker as she is, she is also shamefully competitive. Once she holds onto an idea or a challenge, it is difficult to get her to back down. Her pride is not strong but she always expects that she knows more than whoever she is with. She is calculating in her mind, looking at everything in a mathematical way. She is a realist and hardly ever biased. She shuts off the world when she can and hides in the virtual universe of video games. Aureylian is well aware that her inability to open to others or look at things with affection, including people, might be the end of her. A lonely end. But she just sees relationships as distractions from reaching goals in her life.
