Name:
Lanwezi
Race:
Alkidike
Gender:
Female
Stage:
I wrote her as a youngling for my prompt, since it automatically made me think of a younger character. Please let me know if this is acceptable or not.
3 Base Traits:
Spirited, Inquisitive, Worrisome
Additional Traits:
Ambitious, Bold, Eager, Affectionate, Decisive, Fierce, Messy, Restless, Impatient
Personality:
Spirited:
Wezi is a young girl that sees life as something with boundless potential. Since life is something inside of her, she must also share its qualities: endless possibilities and passionate abandon. She doesn't actively try to get on other people's nerves, but her brash and chipper attitude can be quite grating on those who don't appreciate it. She's very outspoken, but loves action just as much as words. If people disagree with her, that's fine. A good argument and succinct series of points is perfectly capable of changing her views, but shouting and complaining will get you nowhere with Wezi. As a general rule of thumb, she remains upbeat and personable, despite any differences she has with others. However, she takes all threats (especially involving those she cares about) very seriously, and may hold grudges if someone ends up being seriously injured.
Inquisitive:
The world is vast, and there are always new things to discover. Even though the threat of invading Obans has neared her home, and she has been forbidden to leave the secure camp, there are still plenty of mysteries to unravel. Everyone has their own story to tell, after all. Lanwezi is intuitive, perceptive, and diligent. She is a good listener and enjoys hearing multiple sides of the same story, especially those that her sisters tell about their adventures. She can't leave camp on her own, and would never actually be welcomed into a battle at her age, but despite this she almost feels like she could've taken part in her sisters' endeavors right along side them, so long as they continue weaving new schemes for her to hear about.
Worrisome:
Wezi can be thoughtless and eager, making her quick to act on her emotions. Only once it is too late to take them back does she become concerned about ramifications. She is but a child, so has yet to experience any consequences more severe than a grounding. Having her freedoms taken from her is enough to make her fret over any potential punishments. If it means getting out of trouble, she isn't above lying and hiding things. On a more sympathetic side of things, she's capable of showing just as much concern for others as she is for herself, especially during these worn-torn times plaguing Tendaji. Anytime her mother and sisters aren't where they say they'll be, her mind leaps to the worst possible outcome: that they were captured or killed by the invaders. Wezi frets and worries until she knows they're safe. Despite her age, she is more than willing to go hunting for them, if she can escape the watchful eyes of her other sisters.
Description:
Hair: Long, black dreaded hair that goes down to her mid back. The left side is shaved, and she keeps the rest pulled forward over her shoulder with a thick tie holding it together at the very end.
Antennae: Long, with a thick blue stripe near the base and stripes heading up their length as well. The stripes get progressive thinner and lighter as they near the tips. If they could each have one tiny curl near the tip, that'd be great too (but not required, if it's too much trouble).
Extremities: I'd like the same type of striping on her arms and legs as on her antennae, with the marks being dark near her fingertips and toes, and lighter near her elbows and calves (none on her upper arms or thighs, though).
Clothing:
Inspiration for attire (for Apprentice if she can't be drawn as a youngling): [1] [2] [3]
Accessories:
Wezi carries a sort of doll with her. It's basically a sack of soft sand and crumpled leaves, with sections tied off to resemble appendages. Dots for eyes and an 'X' stitch for a mouth.
History:
One day, a single pink lotus appeared on the branches of the great tree, Aisha. The lone woman who had prayed for a beautiful young girl to join her ranks stepped forward to claim the lotus and cared for it until it bloomed into a pile of green limbs and dark hair and became Lanwezi. Erriayna was overjoyed with her new bundle and took the small girl to her home in Jauhar.
Wezi's youngest days were spent listening to stories of rage, fear, sadness, and love from her sisters. Some told better tales than others, and some probably exaggerated a little more too. Naturally, there were days when no one had no stories to tell, or no one wanted to take the time to devote to Wezi's unquenchable interest and the spew of excited questions that would inevitably follow. On those days, Wezi watched her sisters train with weapons and magic. If the competitors were in a playful mood, she may have even been allowed to hold and swing certain weapons. Due to her small size, they were all substantially too large for her. As a result, she's already developed a stronger interest in magical attacks than anything else. Perhaps she won't need to swing as hard.
[Note: It is my assumption that she wouldn't be able to use magic until she became a Sacred Heart at Stage 4, I believe? I think I have a Fairground Item from the board game that can change that. Please let me know if this is accurate.]
With high tensions raging throughout her home, Lanwezi is seeing less and less of her sisters, and her concern for them and her home is growing. Material things mean nothing to her, so the Obans can have as much of the land as they like, but she would hate to see any of her family hurt because of some war over territory.
Also, I was referred by Fluffesu.
