Dear Professor,
I know this letter is arriving just after my last one, but I thought I should keep my reports separate on my two pokemon. Yes I am still in Mato town and No, I haven’t challenged the gym leader. Though I will soon. I feel that I understand Abrielle and Neriah well enough now that we’re ready for some battles. Abrielle is incredibly excited. She always has so much energy when we’re outside and has been practicing nonstop. I haven’t noticed any differences in her psychic abilities but that will most likely change when she evolves.

Abrielle enjoys spending time with Neriah. They run around and explore the park together. Abrielle has been jumping out from behind trees to scare Neriah. It is cute seeing her leaves flare out and her flame spark. She also plays tricks on Neriah, but they have been harmless. It took Neriah a couple of days to realize that Abrielle could make things float and she was frightened of my origami cranes for a while. Speaking of origami, Abrielle loves it. I started making a few cranes to pass the time and Abrielle watched me attentively. I then made a crane that could flap its wings and gave it to her. She was immediately enamored with it and showed it off to Neriah who currently can’t play with it. (Not really a big deal, I mean she’s a petilil. They don’t really have arms or hands.) I decided to make every shape I knew and Abrielle loved them all. She has a collection of samurai hats in all different shapes and colors. My room is littered with various origami pokemon. I even made a few boats that Abrielle took outside to float in a puddle after a rainstorm. I’ve tried to teach Abrielle how to make a paper crane, but I don’t think she has the psychic abilities to do such small exact work yet. She has not been happy about this and throws a tantrum every now and then which tends to result in crumpled origami which results in her pestering me to make more. At least I can give Neriah the crumpled paper to burn so I don’t have a bunch of trash in my room.

Although she has been functioning fine for the most part, I am still concerned about the times when she becomes violent. It still happens while we train and I’ve noticed that she is very interested in knives and sharp objects. She often tries to use the blade on her head to just destroy obstacles in her path instead of just moving them with her telekinesis. I’ve been trying to teach her to go about things more discreetly but the lessons aren’t sticking as well as others. I’m not too worried as she is young and will learn as time goes on, but if this behavior continues as she evolves then it could imply that fusions are detrimental to pokemon. I hope you and your team do a better job of selecting which pokemon to fuse together.

Sincerely,
Araceli Trifiro
