Anyone have any habits they wish they could break?
I have one that I've noticed recently, and I've been trying to avoid it but I can't. xD
SEE THERE IT IS! Haha. I use "xD" all the damn time. Like too much I think. But I don't know how to stop doing it. Like I wanted to add one to every sentence I just wrote and had to fight it. And that one. And that one... yeah. xD (Had to let it out that time, lolz)
I just feel like I say so many sarcastic or silly things that deserve an "xD". But why do I do it so much?
Another thing would be my addictive habit, "vaping". Granted it is SO much better than smoking, but I hate having a crutch. And despite it being cheaper as well it still costs me money. It's more addictive even than smoking I think. The flavors.. so good. I puff on my ecig so much my grandma started calling it my pacifier. I think it makes me dizzy sometimes just from overuse. Sometimes I have to stop just because my ecig gets too hot. I feel like I take in even more nicotine than when I smoked. I've dropped down to 12 mg, but the way I vape who knows how much I'm getting. Nicotine itself isn't extremely harmful, unless of course you get it on your skin or drink it. But I'm so.. non-chemical. I'm vegetarian, I hate taking pills, avoid certain foods/drinks just because they aren't natural. And then I inhale tons of nicotine all day. xD I have tried quitting, but unless I am somewhere I just cannot vape, I can't stand going more than 30 minutes without it. After the first 10 minutes it's all I can think about. And nicotine replacement does not help. I've tried the patch and the gum. Not trying the pills because everyone I've ever known to take them said it gave them terrible nightmares, which I already have enough of. The problem is, I want to vape. I don't want to quit, even though I do. If that makes sense, haha. I guess it's that I know I should, but I enjoy it too much.
Wow though, only one "xD" in that whole paragraph. Consciously thinking about it does help, haha.

Oh jeez! You gotta get a hold of that habit, you might be making yourself sick if its causing dizzyness!
sweatdrop I have so many bad habits.
One of them is eek I cannot ever "not" be wearing socks. Ever. I was traumatized as a kid. Um... My dad asked me to go get him a beer and it was one of those extra freakin large Budweiser cans. I was tiny and the can was thicker then my arm.
It was cold and I dropped it on my toe. My entire nail fell off on 2 of them gonk and ever since then, I dont let anyone see me below the ankle.
Another bad habit is wishing sweatdrop In my head, I wish for everything. Rarely ever get my wishes but it's comforting to try redface

Aws. That sucks about your toes. I have a similar problem, but not as bad. I had a really bad ingrown toenail... had to have it surgically removed, like an inch on both sides. Thankfully it grew back for the most part, and I don't think anyone really notices, but it is smaller than my other big toenail. Now my pinky toe... the nail is pretty much gone. There is nothing really there. So.. I paint it. xD I paint on my toe so it looks like a whole nail is there. It's actually pretty un-noticeable too. I used to never ever wear flip flops or show my toes either. So I definitely know what that's like. I was afraid to go swimming or anything for a long time cause I didn't want people to see my toes. I'm glad they aren't as bad as they were. Wishing isn't too bad. But it does suck when they don't come true. sad

I'm going to share a habit I have with y'all...please do not laugh at me...ever since I was little, I've sucked my thumb. I can't sleep unless I do it. I'm 22 years old now...and I still do it. My fiance thinks it's cute though, so I guess it's okay. I also can't help it, but I have to be moving. Whether it's the leg shaking or the fingers tapping. I also say sorry a lot...I probably have more, but those are the ones I can think of right now.
▌Cause you're not alone, girl Look over your shoulder You don't have to wonder Cause you know, you know, you know
▌You're not alone, girl I'll be there to hold you I'll stay til it's over And you know, you know, you know

They told me that too, but it still hasn't broken the habit.

It is good to remain mindful of your actions. I've become more conscious of myself. As an actor, we have to remain aware of our ticks so that they don't show up in our characters. I wouldn't necessarily call this a habit because it isn't consistent, but I lose my keys often. I would like to develop a habit of placing them in a same spot every time.

I have a habit of biting the skin around my fingernails all the time that I can't seem to stop. I know a suggestion is to put this stuff around my nails that's supposed to taste really bad but one, I don't know where it's sold, and two, I'd probably keep trying to bite around them anyways haha.
Another habit I have is laughing after a lot of things I say. I think it's been a tick of mine for years. My mom has noticed and would always tell me about it. It's difficult to stop once you've been doing it for so long.

I've always admired how in control of ticks actors and actresses can be. emotion_facepalm Not being able to scratch an itch or checking your nose for hiders for hours at a time takes so much skill.

Maybe one or two habits I have are touching myself lol. I touch my breasts a lot. They're G cups, so soft and warm... I think I love them as much as guys do. I also touch my hair a lot, now that it's a new texture and a new length, I haven't been keeping my hands off of it a lot. Once when I was high, I kept rubbing my hair with both hands until someone pointed out that it looked strange lol. It felt so goood though!

Omg, I'm so behind in here. If it doesn't bother you it shouldn't bother anyone else. That's awesome your boyfriend thinks it's cute instead of being mean about it. I know I didn't stop sucking my thumb until I was like 12. I stopped cause my gma wouldn't stop getting on to me about my teeth getting messed up. They got messed up anyway by not brushing them enough. xD I say sorry a lot too. Sometimes my boyfriend says, "Stop saying sorry!" and all I can say to that is.. "Sorry." xD

OMG I touch my boobs all the time too! xD I only do it when I'm alone or it's just me and my bf. Sometimes I kinda space off and then notice I'm touching them, lol.
