I've got a thread starting out in the Test Forum
I plan on using funds from my account (and anyone else who donates) and not guild funds to host this since the idea is to collect donations lol
Question is, when should we have this bash >>>which would also feature an avatar design contest to add for interest since there's so many good suggestions for the guild uniform
and how long should it last?

Or even sometime late this month if we want to avoid it being in October altogether. Besides, it sounds like people have ideas for November and December events as well. Would the prizes simply then just whatever happens to be donated (gold, items, etc.)? Or will they be simply used to fund whatever prizes you had in mind?

Yeah, I don't want the SOP guild to compete with other guilds for collecting funds for Halloween. 3nodding Prizes would be pretty much whatever's donated; leftovers go towards the guild for sponsoring users/spreading awareness.

The only thing I worry about doing it this month is it's a bit too late of notice. Most places should be gathering up funds for October now and not waiting until the actual month but I'm sure there are some who do gather funds for October in the actual month....

doing it in october might be hard too... but we can always bug members, I suppose

I kind of like the idea of the end of September as there's nothing going on I admit it's late notice though. Whatever we do it we could "mail out"(pm) formal invitations to friend's, members of the guild, and to people who might be interested so that way we get a buzz, have a chance to still spread the word to people who may not want to come to the bash, and just have something quirky and whimsical just for fun. It could read something like:
Dear -username-,
You have been formally invited to the Save Our Plot(S.O.P.) charity bash. ~words describing what SOP is why it's important ~Words describing fun to be had at charity bash and why we're asking for donations ~formal good bye

Maybe early October would be a good compromise between avoiding other fundraisers and it being too soon? I don't know, I've never organized one of these before.
Would all the invite PMs have to be sent out from a mule, or will there be designated people to send them out?

If slick wants to go that direction I hadn't really thought much about it other than suggesting the idea but I suppose to limit the amount of work falling onto one person a group would be better.
