Welcome to Study of Merlin! I'm your awesome teacher, Marco Giambra, but you guys can call me Marco if you want. I'm chill with that if you are, y'feel?
I might call back Polo, just warning you! Hahahahaha. That was a joke, you can laugh.
So this is the class all about the old dude this place is named after! Y'know, interesting bit of trivia: that Merlin guy? He's actually inside the massive tree dead-center of the campus. This whole place was built all around him as a shrine, but it opened as a school later. Yup. This place has a lot of history. Pretty neat, right?
Anyway, I just want you guys to know that I'm not a regular professor. I'm a cool professor. You can ask me as many questions you want in class, okay? Just want you to know that.
So what will we be covering? Well, first year you're gonna be covering the guy's basic history. Y'know, birth, the whole Tower thing that started those pesky dragons feuding, a bit about his influence in the legend of King Arthur, all the way to when his apprentice Nimue stabbed him in the back - er, that is to say, trapped him in the oak tree. Second years will be going over his achievements - what he managed to do and all that. (He is one of the few that had three familiars, which is a very difficult feat to achieve these days.) Third years will be going over his contributions to the magick world, as he made quite a few obviously. And finally, fourth years will study Merlin's Thirteen Magickal Treasures.
Y'know, simple stuff.
There isn't really much homework in this class, except for a quiz here and there maybe. I don't really like grading stuff, so there won't be much. (Can't stand kids' handwriting, it's a pain in the a** to translate.)
You shouldn't have much trouble in this class, kiddos. I believe in you! Don't forget to talk to me for whatever.
