Permanent NPCs

User Image
Princess Crystalline Serenity
Princess Crystalline Serenity is the daughter of Queen Lady Serenity and King Helios and heir apparent to the throne of Earth. She is a chipper, and sweet young girl of nine who has some crybaby tendencies. As sincere as she is, Crystalline Serenity often dodges her responsibilities by simply napping through them. During one of these naps, however, she fell into a sleep so deep that none have been able to rouse her since.

User Image
Queen Lady Serenity
Queen Lady Serenity took the throne of Earth after her parents decided to retire from their royal position and traverse the galaxy (they send postcards from different locales every week). Queen Lady Serenity ruled very much like her mother but proved to be a more capable monarch, getting more involved with the political side than free spirited, often goofy Neo-Queen Serenity did. In the third year of her rule, she married her beloved Helios but years passed before they were able to conceive Crystalline. Since her child has lapped into unconsciousness, however, the involved Queen has all but locked herself away to research ways to try and get the young princess out of the coma.

User Image
King Helios
The ruler of Elysian and co-ruler of Earth, King Helios is a wise, quiet, but whimsical sort of man prone to fantastical ramblings about beautiful dreams and how they effect the world in a positive way. This tendency to wax poetic doesn't leak into his duties as ruler and, as Queen Lady Serenity secluded herself as the condition with her child showed no signs of improvement, King Helios has taken up the bulk of the responsibilities that fell on the lovely woman to take care of. Somehow he manages to remain hopeful if a little shielded.

User Image
King Faustus
The Astral Dreamscape is King Faustus' domain. Once upon a time the ruler of this spiritual realm was a kind ruler who fell in love with a mortal woman. Intent on wooing her he built her a magnificent gleaming castle with a sprawling, maze like garden with many rare, beautiful smelling flowers. However, as an immortal being, he had no concept of time and the girl grew old and died before he finished. Driven mad by grief, he tries to lure girls that remind him of his beautiful would-be queen. A beautiful pale haired girl and vivid scarlet eyes...

User Image
Wraiths
Wraiths are amorphous, human-like shadows that are sent from the Astral Dreamscape to distract the Queen's Senshi and the Princess' Senshi. They don't have any distinct features and most of their abilities seem to be based on negative energy.

Temporary NPCs

These characters are currently NPCs but can be taken up any time by players if desired. The caveat to this, of course, is that you have to keep them in character to how they are in the Main RP if you're coming in late to a story arc.

Daytime//Partly Cloudy

It has been threatening to rain for the majority of the day and, as if a dimmer switch has been added to the sky, Crystal Tokyo brightens and darkens with the shift of the clouds against the sun.
An occasional rumble of thunder can be heard but the sound is off in the distance and it is difficult to tell if the storm will approach the fair and stately crystal city.

King Helios has gathered a good majority of the Gemstone Senshi together and cued them in on the dire straights of not only Princess Crystalline Serenity but of the queen, Lady Serenity. Soon after he begins to speak with the guardians a startling scream coming in the direction of the kitchen is heard. Quick to act, everyone heads to the area to find that most of the staff there have been attacked by a mysterious foe. Even the king himself is slashed across the face!

Darkness. All around was a sheet of blackness so thick that a hand a mere five inches in front of a face could not be seen. So thick that it pressed around from all corners and sides, seemingly pinching the hapless victim into a tight box.

Suffocating. Frightening. As so very cold.

"Mama?" the frighten girl called. "Mama!"

Invisible ribbons wrapped around her body and squeezed her tighter still, making escape very impossible for a small princess with no knowledge of her future powers. She struggled, only availing in exhausting herself which left her limp against the astral bindings.

The echoing sound of footsteps and a hummed lullaby were the last things Princess Crystalline Serenity heard before the encroaching dark consumed her completely. The smell of peony and primrose wafted through the air.

"His Majesty has very grave news," came the soft voice of the now fully grown gray cat that walked slightly ahead of the group of young women and girls. Nary a sound came from her hurried paws as she lead them across the red carpet of the long hallway, which would eventually open up into the beautiful throne room. "Please do not dawdle."

The throne room of the Crystal Palace, usually bright and cheerful and alight with a thousand different miniature rainbows from the many prisms that decorate the interior, was uncharacteristically somber. Outside it had threatened to rain almost all day and, while the sun managed to peek through to grant a passerby the occasional beam of radiance, it mostly stayed hidden by dishwater hued clouds. Everything within the crystal palace took on a brackish hue; that sickly yellow that promised a storm of some sort was brewing close by.

Three thrones sat in the back of the large room. Two were empty; the largest in the middle that was inlayed with pearls and diamond and the one to the left which was smaller and more humble in appearance. The last to the right was a golden throne that positively gleamed with the energy of the sun. Yet the man who sat upon it was pallid, his features wan and almost deathly and nearly unrecognizable from that of the joyful if mostly quiet King Helios.

Once the girls were at the foot of the thrones, he stood. Diana offered him a bow and, with a flick of her tail, signaled for the others with her to do so. Helios lifted a hand, however, to stop the motion. Even whey-faced as he was a humble blush had appeared across his cheeks. Despite being the ruler beside Queen Lady Serenity and having charge of Elysian, he showed discomfort with genuflection - a likely side effect of years of servitude beneath Prince Endymion.

"I would prefer to avoid the pomp and circumstance," he stated, "and get straight to the point. You have been gathered here for a specific reason. That being the current condition of my daughter and wife. I am sure that Diana has filled you in on some of the bigger bullet points regarding that of Crystalline Serenity - how she has fallen into an endless sleep that not even Sailor Peridot can wake her from - but I believe there is something more to this... if you would all take a knee, I'd be happy to fill you in."

Lorelei sank to a knee, looking around her to take in the crystalline surroundings. To say that she was uncomfortable with all of the seemingly iridescent mineral around her was the understatement of the century. She already longed to return home, get in her boat, and spend a few hours exploring Tokyo Harbor. With or without Caesi, naturally, but she forced herself to keep her face neutral. She couldn't let King Helios recognize her discomfort, not to mention her new teammates.

She cast a look at the pink-haired senshi, then continued her gaze at the others, most of whom she had only just met not too long ago, when they were summoned here. Already Lorelei felt a bit overwhelmed, not only by the sheer number of them, but just the idea that all of these girls possessed similar power-- and most likely knew far more about how to use them than she did! And she already felt like the odd one out for her height compared to the others, let alone her nationality...

Caesi had shut down completely at the moment. Rather, she had thrown up her walls so tightly, that she felt no one- not even her roommate's emotions. For the most part, her face was blank, showing no hint of what she felt or thought as she moved through the palace's prism hallways behind the cat and the girls.

She didn't recognize many of them, but found at least two others she did know of vaguely. Her purple eyes flicked back to the throne room ahead where the king sat looking like death warmed over. Her mouth twitched at the sense of worry..fear perhaps?- that seemed to thread through her walls. Closing her eyes, she tightened down on them. The feeling disappeared, thankfully.

When she opened them, the king was speaking again. Inwardly, she groaned at having to get on her knees for anything that wasn't pleasant. Who thought that this was comfortable in the first place? Despite how serious the situation was and how tired the king appeared, she secretly hoped it wouldn't be very long. If they could get straight to the point and carry out the planning, she would be grateful.

Her jaw clenched slightly, the only problem here was the waiting.

User ImageSiddalee was the very image of loyalty, her fist pressed to her heart as she kneeled before her King. Her brow furrowed with worry, but her eyes shone with unmatched tenacity. Underneath it all she was a mess of nerves, her heart beating so fast she was afraid it might leap into her throat. This was the first time she'd been called to any official senshi business, let alone the first time meeting her King.

And gods, he was beautiful. The things Diana and Evelyn had told her hardly did him justice. How could she be the Senshi of Light when, even through his woes, this man shined so much brighter than herself? She was in awe. Never, she decided, did anyone anywhere deserve the right to be called King so much as this man did- and she would serve him. She would serve him to the ends of the earth.

Whether or not the other girls were as in awe of their dazzling King would remain unknown to her. Surely she couldn't be the only one who hadn't met him yet? Beside her, Caesi seemed as terse and tight-lipped as ever. How could she want to just get this over with? Sidda would have gladly basked in the King's light for all eternity...

...but now was a time for action. The time for daydreaming had come and passed. Up until this point, Sidda had entertained the idea of being a Senshi with a little girl's enthusiasm- after all, didn't they all dream of this at least once in their lives? She was a finally a magical girl, she'd told herself, a superhero! If any of the Senshi held their new status in a negative light, it wasn't Sidda. But the tired look on their King's face pained her, and any dreamy giddiness about the situation was quickly fading from Sidda's heart. This was real.

Her heart pounded in her chest, and unshed tears glossed her eyes. She really wished he wouldn't be sad. He was too beautiful to be sad...

Fion knelt next to Sidda, quietly trying to process it all. It had only been a few days since the girl had awoken to her duties as a senshi, and being brought before the king right off was definitely nerve-wracking. Still, she was at least friendly with Sidda ('Sailor Diamond,' she silently corrected herself), and the other senshi didn't look particularly terrible, so there was at least that. If they all were to work together to do... whatever it was that they were here to do, it would be nice if they could at least get along.

Princess Crystalline Serenity... an endless sleep... and something more. The King seemed drawn and sad, as if shadowed. The Princess was so young, and it was their duty to protect her. Had they already failed? Fion wasn't sure. She wasn't even sure where they would begin, but from what she had been told many of the others had been senshi for a while. She would just have to assist in whatever way she could, and for now that meant memorizing the King and what he had to say to them. Nodding once to herself, she turned her gaze back to the pale, tired man in front of them.

The sense of doom and gloom sent a strange shiver up Mimi's spine. Sure, she had seen her fair share of dire situations - dealt with them at least once a month before Ruby had so graciously taken her off of the streets, but this was different. The stakes were higher. The lives of three street rats could never compare to that of a princess destined to rule the Sol Star System. One day she'd have immense, life giving powers like her mother and grandmother.

Her eyes slipped around the room, looking to the faces that were unfamiliar and unreadable, save for that of Sailor Diamond, who looked like she was on the verge of tears. Mimi felt even more uncomfortable. She pluck nervously at the large yellow bow on her chest. She shift position slightly, moving somewhat back to use Peridot as somewhat of a shield.

Everything felt so cold. Even the usually bright king seemed craggy and dull to Mimi. Then again, this was the first time she ever saw him, so she was quite unsure of how he looked normally. If rumors were to be believed, he and the queen were shining beacons of light under regular circumstance.

Evelyn's expression matched the grimness of the situation as the group marched their way down the long hallway toward the throne room. This day should have filled her with joy, at long last the Gemstones had gathered - just as she'd wished for back when she'd learned of her powers. But with the threat of an unknown danger that had taken the princess she could not help but feel the occasion marred with grief. Crystalline was only a child of nine, carefree and always with a smile on her face, with the majority of her time spent in the palace surrounded by those who loved her it was almost unthinkable that something like this could happen. Yet it did, under all of their noses and as one of her future guardians stood watch.

That alone felt like the senshi's greatest failure. She was more than a guardian, she was a teacher and a friend and yet she had let the young princess down. She had been unable to see the danger approach, and been no use in reversing its strange effects. Now the Queen of all people had locked herself away from all but her own team of senshi to try and unlock the mystery behind her daughters sleep.

Coming to a stop in front of Kind Helios' throne the peridot senshi bowed her head in silent respect, taking knee as he requested with the rest of her team. This was not her first encounter with the King, in fact as a nanny of sorts to the princess she had known him on more friendly terms and was by no means uncomfortable in his presence, though she remembered what it was like to stand in his glow for the first time. Even on a gloomy day such as this he held an air about him. Glancing past the faces of the others it was plain to see they felt the full effect that came with meeting royalty for the first time. Siddalee seemed almost moved to tears while Mimi hid her self behind Evelyn's taller frame no doubt overwhelmed by the splendor of the palace and the king.

They would all need to adapt in the coming days, training and meetings would see the senshi gathered on a more long term base as if they ever wished to discover what held their princess in a deep unending sleep. She only hoped this new team of young woman would be up to the task. Crystalline's life depended on it.

Ruby's crimson eyes scanned the seemingly endless hall as the group of young women somberly marched toward the Throne Room. She admired the sheer magnitude of the palace. Still, as her eyes fell back to her compatriots, she wondered why she even showed up. She rather disliked working with others. It was much simpler to do things by herself. Still, as she stood back from the group, she focused on two familiar forms. One in light green...Sailor Peridot...the one who awoke her before any of the others, and her charge, Sailor Citrine. She studied the two, ignoring all the rest, as they stepped into the gleaming throne room, and up to the King himself.

Her attention quickly shifted, however, to King Helios, as he spoke. Taking a knee, as requested, she listened intently. The princess had fallen into a deep sleep, one even Peridot couldn't wake her from. Not a good sign... Her interest peaked momentarily. It must have been serious if the entire group was needed. Her eyes scanned the group once more. Some of these girls weren't even familiar with their powers, or battle...one even seemed uncomfortable in her Senshi skirt. Ruby held back a chuckle, as she watched from behind how awkward this 'team' was. Her eyes continued scanning the group, studying each of the girls for only a moment, before stopping yet again, on Citrine shyly hiding behind Peridot.

She worried, more it seemed, about the beggar girl turned Warrior in Orange, than any of the others. Sure, the girl was tough, but her power left too much to chance. Even under Rubys care, the girl was green. She ate too much, gambled away her allowances, skipped training sessions. The crimson haired young woman couldn't help worry that the girl wasn't ready for this.

Helios waited silently as the girls lowered themselves to the ground, the rustling of the fabric from their uniforms being the only detectable noise. Once all fell quiet and their eyes were drawn towards him, did he make a move, sitting on the small steps that lead up to the thrones. He looked to each in turn, looking from one face to another, getting different sorts of feelings from each participant. Warm kindness radiated from his eyes, the color of molten gold, when they fell upon Sailor Diamond. From the inner pocket of his white and blue jacket he pulled a pale yellow silk handkerchief and handed it to the woman whom looked about to cry before returning his attention to the group.

"I wish it was under happier circumstances that you all came to be here with me," he replied with a wistful sigh. "Yet, it is not so.... I must also inform you that Queen Lady Serenity has taken the news... poorly and has locked herself away in the royal arcane library in an attempt to find a cure. Her most trusted guardians have been at her side, leaving the planet vulnerable. Earth needs you two fold right now. We need to find the reason behind my daughter's coma and you warriors must be ready at a moment's notice to defend your homeworld. My knights are powerful, yes, but I sense as if this goes deeper than even their abilities."

A spasm ran up the king's back and, as if on cue, his eyes slowly drifted towards the door, narrowing on the distant opening. He had felt something, akin to the sensation as a sigh being released somewhere within the palace's stately walls. No. His brow knit and before he could even draw in a breath to continue speaking, a shrill scream sounded. In the halls it echoed and resounded on itself over and over again. In an instant he was on his feet, hands balled into fists.

"I think that came from the kitchen," he muttered in a tone that was near beneath his breath as he hurried forward, finding the empty spaces between the gemstones so he could make a clear dash for the door. He motioned for them to follow by throwing his hand back and swinging it back down.

Lorelei's head snapped up at the sound as she slowly rose, letting several of her new teammates pass by first before she followed after the king, her brow furrowing. Defending the planet?! That was truly their job?! How the hell was she supposed to know that-- to know any of this! Let alone how to DO that!

Her hands balled into fists at her side as her discomfort turned into anger. She didn't ask for this, for this power and responsibility. Never had she signed a supposed Magical Girl contract! Especially not in this apparent fairy tale! Honestly, a sleeping princess, a mysterious scream, and a worried king. It was starting to feel like a bizarre rendition of Sleeping Beauty.
