History: The story of the Aquan woman who fell for a Ventian had never been faded away. In fact, it has been told to passing generations ever since the appearances of the ones called 'The Marked' occurred, mostly to scare those who mix such bloods and elements...or in the case of some members of the Park family, to inspire. To them, change was a necessary thing as is the constant flow of the waters for if the world hopes to evolve, for better or worse, the most radical must happen.
Everyone, especially Aquans, looks forward to the days where tears flow for happiness rather than sadness and rivers no longer run red but few dare to attempt that change and simply become swept with time.
Park's mother, Mi-Young, was the first to successfully attempt to mate someone of a different element. She journeyed to the dark lands of Nocte and met, or rather precisely, encountered a Nocte soldier. The battle was fierce but neither side gaining advantage, they both committed the one thing they would never imagined to do--They sat and talked. She told him about the opinions of the world, the elements, the politics of the kingdoms the connections of their history. Her grandmother attempted a very similar thing to the kingdom of Lux with disastrous results, leaving her Aquan grandfather to look after her. Whether if this Nocte soldier fell through pity for her her or detest against the Lux, he would later on came to be Young-Jae's father, Vhard.
They both were aware what they get themselves into but shared similar opinions, and now shared a child. Mi-Young would gradually turn back to her Aquan kingdom, despite pleas from her mysterious husband that it would've been safer for them to stay in Nocte. Her mother however, insisted Young-Jae needed to learn more about her roots. However, her return to the kingdom marks her own demise in one of the kingdom's internal rebellions. To make matters worse, this intense rebellion lead also to an unknown disease outbreak which was only resolved by containing the situation and letting the victims die off in isolation--a shameful secret the healers of their kingdom will come to haunt them.
There is a positive light to this disaster; Like her mother, change aspires also into Young-Jae from this and so has decided to take the path of healing. She taken and looked after from an orphanage home, where she would gradually grow up from. The fact she choose to become a healer also gained her much favor and support from the other residences. She met Xiyang this way, who would eventually become to be a fanatical fashionista, cosmetician and tailor.
The greatest help she had though, wasn't anyone from the Aquan kingdom; Secretly, Vhard watches and trains his daughter to the arts of combat under the disguised name of Toto, knowing too well of the girl's future as being a marked. Young-Jae herself is also aware of her secondary powers, and she is all too familiar about the spread tales about what happened to her kind. The only thing that escapes her, is the identity of her father other than her clue that he is a Nocte. Being Aquan and Nocte, she has gained the ability to control and produce what people call as 'Dark water' to Aquan or 'The Black Gold' to Terrae--commonly known as Oil.
She however. seldom practices her secondary abilities as she must keep faces with her people as a healer. Gradually, she would warm up to the church society with her abilities but even then they keep her power discreet--if Young-Jae hopes to travel the other kingdoms safely, in especially Ignis which is their pure opposite element.Xiyang also helps to keep her disguise, hiding the Marked area with a careful layer of cosmetics. Ironically however, should it come to washing or bathing it could be revealed by accident.
Personality: Compassionate, Patient, Gentle yet surprisingly can be cunning. She can be sometimes naive though.
Weapon(s): She mostly uses just her open palms but also has acupuncture needles to help paralyze her enemies. There is also of course, her elements--her manipulation over oil can be use to even operate some machines under her will
Strengths:
+Her size - she can get thru tight spaces better and is often underestimated for her stature.
+Excellent sprinting/swimming and jumping abilities.
+Healer, though not one of the best, she readily helps any in need of her services and it too draws a positive aura to people around her.
+Compassion and patience, most people don't have much heart to forgive and possesses certain limits.
+She possesses nightvision, being able to see into the dark as her father but not yet the ability to walk into shadows.
Weaknesses:
-Her size - she is often mistaken for a kid and it annoys her to no end. There are also times when being tall is better than being able to jump so high.
-Discretion - often has a hard time trusting others because of being a marked child.
-Her compassion often leads her difficult to refuse requests from anyone
-Information relevant about her father, she will want to know and very likely may catch her off-guard.
-Lack of actual combat experience, could be fatal in a fight against more seasoned enemies.
-She isn't well-known to take hits as she relies on agility.
