"Get away. Get away. Silent. Quieeeeet. Easy now..." The blue male slowly walked down the halls of the house, keeping an ear out for any of his relatives. Or...one in specific. For all the times that his brother Jeston said that he would be alone and miserable because of how he acted, why did his babiest brother always have to tag along? It got annoying, really fast. Like, hadn't even hit adulthood before it got old. Besides, it wasn't like Bastion ever encouraged Kardian. The guy had to have a masochistic streak to keep wanting to be around his brother.
And he wasn't wanting to put up with it today. Nope. Not when he was going to meet an acquaintance. One of the few that didn't mind how he acted. One of the few that Bastion could stand to be around. But only a little, thus the 'acquaintance' status and not 'friend' status.

 Kardian wandered the halls looking for the one sibling who stubbornly tried to push him away. The neon male wasn't a masochist, he just liked to get to know his siblings. Bastion may of been the odd ball in the family, but he was still family. And dangnagbit, he was going to get to know his brother!

At each corner he stopped and peeked around, looking for Kardian. A sigh of relief left his lungs each time he didn't see the Chronia male. Maybe he could do this for once. It's not like he left any signs either for where he was going. Did he? He paused, trying to remember if he cleared the history when he looked up movie times. Drat. He couldn't remember. But he had no time. Either he left now or he'd be late himself. "Screw it." He had enough of this ninja crap. Rounding another corner, he made a dash for the front door.

Kardian would of missed his brother. Bastion had mad ninja skills after all. If not for that fluffy tail...that fluffy neon tail....Kardian caught a glimpse of the tail. Letting out a soft happy squeak he dashed after his brother at a more slient pace. "Bastion!" He landed lightly in front of his brother with a happy wave of his tail, "What are you up to today?"

Bastion jumped back, paw over his heart and breathing heavily, as his brother appeared in front of him. "s**t! Damn man...are you trying to give me a heart attack?" Damn, damn, and double damn. He should have gone slow after all. How the hell did Kardian find him anyways?
"Stuff. Stuff that doesn't include annoying brothers who can't take a hint and leave me the ******** alone. Stuff that I'm not going to tell you what it is so you might as well just go away."

Kardian realized that he scared his brother...badly. The horned male's ears flatened for a moment before his tail curled around his waist. There it was. Those hurtful words Bastion was so prone to using. "Bastion. Just one day...." he trialed off then shook his head, "Today is our day together I told that before. I only ever bug you for one day of the month and you still always make other plans!" he let out a soft growl, one his siblings would always know as his personal growl.

"Don't you dare growl at me." Bastion snarled. "I've never wanted to spend time with you. Any of you. You're all so annoying. Always bugging me for this or that. Always such goodie two shoes. Probably crying at even just killing a bug. It's sickening." His tail lashed back and forth in an irritated manner, the rest of his muscles tensing. "And you guys call me cruel. Look at you. Pestering a person who doesn't even want to be around you to go out for a day and do something. Isn't that cruel hm? Didn't you ever think about that? I only said I might do these stupid things because you wouldn't shut up."
He brushed past Kardian to open the front door. "In fact, I'm heading out now to see a guy about rooming together. Get out of this place. Get out of sight. I'm not going to leave a forwarding address. Maybe then I'll have some peace and quiet."

discoqueen o-o; I swear I had no idea he could snap.... Kardian flinched at every word, the more timid male looked away before his elder brother's final words hit him. A flash and he spun to all but yell, "Your still blood related to this family Bastion! Nothing you say or do will change that both our Father's hold affection for you. All you wanna do is be an ungrateful brat and spit that affection back in their faces!" His tail tuff was bristles, calming down he shook his head; " All I ask is for a measly few hours of your time. Then you can go off and leave. But...if you do. Don't forget to at least say "Bye" to Papa and Dad okay?"Hey he may of been the goody-two-shoes and sheltered baby of the family. But he had his limits...

Bastion stared at his brother in amused, impressed silence. Well this was certainly something different. "Mmmm...Baby has bark. But before you get further onto your high horse, think about this. Not everyone does affection. Not everyone asks for it. Not everyone wants it. We might not be able to choose our families, but we can certainly choose to leave them whenever we want. And I feel quite suffocated from all this desired affection and need coming from this house hold. So I'm getting out before it takes it's toll. Saying goodbye to any of you would just mean that I might actually have some of those loathsome feelings in return. Since I do not, there is no need for goodbyes."
Turning, he opened the door. "Now...are you coming or not?" He threw over his shoulder before heading outside.

His brother's words did hurt, Karidan would admit that. But he honestly did like Bastion's company. His elder was...refreshing when compared to the overprotectiveness he felt from his elders. Bastion actually let him learn about things and in his own way, taught Kardian some lessons the youth kept close to heart. That was why he really sought out the other male all the time. Bastion let Kardian actually be himself. He knew he was partly if not largely to blame since he kept calling out to Bastion. He picked at his sleeve with his claws idly before jolting. Bastion what----Oh! "Y-yes!" he let out a small little mental cheer. As long as Bastion allowed him near Kardian would follow. And so...he followed his elder brother.

He couldn't believe he just did that. He actually had invited his brother along. So what if Karidan had snapped at him finally. Being impressed did not mean he should have invited the brat to something this important. Especially if after today he was hopefully living somewhere else. Introducing a family member to a potential roommate was just asking the family to start coming over to the new place. Grumbling, he made a beeline to the movie theater and the male waiting there for him.Tossing pebbles into a sewer grate, Ace one again checked the time. He was supposed to be meeting his pal Bastion here to discuss the neon male replacing one of his roommates that moved out. Ace very well couldn't afford the apartment on his own, so timing was everything right now with the rent coming up in a couple weeks. Since Ace hated doing nothing but business, he had insisted that they discussed everything while watching some stupid comedy that just came out. Something fun to counteract the tedious boredom of figures and contracts.
He was starting to worry that the guy was going to be a no show when he spotted the other finally approaching, another neon dude with him. "Hey man. 'Bout time. Who's the squirt?"

Kardian was quiet, they approached a purple male. And then the male spoke. Letting out a indignant squeak Kardian spoke up, "The name's Kardian not Squirt. I'm Bastion's youngest brother." he narrowed his eyes a little as his tail curled around his waist. Yeah...backbone was there but if this guy made him nervous it was gone.

Laughing, Ace looked at Bastion. "Touchy little thing ain't he?"Bastion fought down the urge to facepalm. Or at least bash his head against a wall. So much for the baby being tough. "An annoyance is a more apt description." Leaving the two, the blue male went up to the window to get a ticket.Snickering, Ace winked at Kardian. "Must be pretty something to get that description from Bassy. It's a compliment compared to some of the things I've heard him call others." He held out a paw. "Sorry K-Man. Spying how you followed him, reminded me of a little duckling. Didn't mean no offense. Name's Ace."

Kardian winced at his brother before looking at the male before him. His head tilted slightly but he cautiously took the offered hand in a gentle shake, "Nice to meet you, Ace. That's a new nickname...most people call me Kerri." he blinked before giving a small nod, "And since i like my tail where it is...I am not ever calling Bastion what you just did."
Kardian looked Ace over. The male looked all right, but Kardian had a sinking feeling that he should stay within sight of Bastion. You never knew after all...

"Well I'm not one for doing things normally kiddo." Smirking, he purposefully raised his voice so Bastion could hear him. "And dear ol' Bassy knows I give as good as I get so if I lose my tail, he loses him." He laughed and blew a kiss as Bastion flipped him off and stalked into the theater. "So do you think he bought you a ticket K-Man?," Ace asked, stepping up to the ticket window and looking at the other male.
