Uh oh. How did the vet visit go?
And sparkling houses? I haven't noticed my house on Gaia sparkling. But if you're talking about RL it all depends on what kind of medication you took. I guess your house could be sparkling. lol. JK... cat_razz

He's ok. Despite our best efforts, he's gotten a rear-end infection. He will get better. But he's a jerk anyway.

I've been procrasting since last week, but there a good few crafts I need to finish.

Possibly have to make a hat for someone too once I can unearth an appropriate yarn.

I dunno, its starting to get chillier where I am, so this is the time of year the crafting bug always hits me hardest.

I'll still game and junk, but I'll crochet and hot glue whenever I have a spare second to. Or even when I don't.
Just put on disney movies and crochet the whole time.

Contrarily, it's really very hot today. Not really up to much.

Also, my trip to the yarn store was a bust - the proprietor never came to open. So for right now, idk. Just chatting with my friend next to the window rejoicing every time a stiff breeze finds its way in. smile

Crafting blues ....

Another hot day and I was out for the most of it.

The makers of the yarn I want have changed it so that "chunky" looks more like worsted. I'll likely have to change the pattern if the WPI doesn't work out.

At least it's black, which is what the lady wants.

It's nice and cool here.

I hate when that happens. I hope it will work out for you though. I love working with chunky yarns. heart

A ton of rain today! Nice and cool. I started the hat last night due to insomnia and sheer stubbornness. I SO wanted to chuck it hence when I kept losing a stitch on the round, but I persevered and got to the 5th round.

The good news is that the I went down a hook size - I'm a tight crocheter, you see - and the thing still came to gauge! Hm. In the end, the new yarn happened to be the same WPI as the "chunky" one the designer chose. So far so good. smile

Good thing I had bought the yarn anyway. People call also sorts of different weights "Chunky".

That's what gets things done, though... stubbornness. lol.

Have you ever seen this yarn? It's discontinued but even if it wasn't I wouldn't recommend it. I saw it at our local Hobby Lobby store and just had to figure out something to use it for. I soon realized how impossible it was to work with. You could never cut the ends or it would unravel. But being determined and stubborn, I made up my own pattern and when it came time to cut the ends I would take matching sewing thread and secure the ends. Then I would take the left over shorter pieces and sew them together to make more yarn. I made my daughters this huge blanket that you can't wash. You have to spot wash it and be very careful at that. Anyway, I was determined to do it and I did. Sometime I have to add it to my gallery.

Sounds awesome. I'd love to see that. Reminds of the time I was determined to make a doll skirt with scraps of yarn. I got far but finish it and have no idea where it is now, lol I wouldn't try that yarn at all - it looks like caterpillars to me. ><

I'm half crafting half fishing today... razz

I hate losing finished projects.

lol. Are you afraid of caterpillars? It actually feels like the softest yarn you've ever felt. It almost makes your finger tips hurt to work with it.

Wow. That's not a bad idea. While waiting for a bite, you can craft.

I don't hate caterpillars, but I'm not fond of them either. We have some MEGA HUGE ones here sometimes that feast on the Frangipani trees - seriously, those guys look scary. Like thugs. lol

Yesterday I was in the "couldn't convince myself to craft" zone a lot. I was working away, but things keep getting screwy and at one point, boy did I feel frustrated. It pays to chuck things to one side, sometimes literally, and pick them back up when your head is less fuzzy and full of negative thoughts.

The making continues ...
