The army didnt move in until it was dark. The cover of night hiding their presence as the came near the city. This would be easier and harder at the same time. He turned to the lich's and nodded. "Begin." The lich's nodded and changed their form to match that of the townsfolk before moving in. The plan was to lace the water supply with the plague, then the grain houses, then the orphanage. The last was for sheer horror factor when they started the invasion. For the moment he would wait for his agents to do what they did best. Their spells would keep them covered as they infected the citizens. He turned to Toph and set his hand on the hilt of his sword. "Not all battles are won through sheer force."

Toph followed Lerista and his army, simply watching. He could feel tension. This was the place where his homeland waged war. He never stepped foot here until now. His fists clench. "Sir.. they have been through enough.. with the evidence left at Terrae... wouldn't it be best to just.. leave them to the fate of war?" He was started to feel soft-hearted looking at the people from afar. Toph, couldn't help it, he could feel his anger boil. He grabbed Lerista by the collar, if he had one to grab. His little 5"2 frame glared up at him through the mask. "And who is to blame for this one, Lerista..?" He tensed before practically throwing him when he released him. He was ready for whatever punishment his men would give him for putting his hands on Lerista. Frankly, Toph didn't care. "Pfft.. Whatever, Franken-King." There was a pause before he continued. "You really think this will solve everyone's problems? What of you? What if they should overthrow you once you rule?"

Lerista sighed as he felt Toph grab the collar of his armor. Lerista's skin was cold where it could be felt. And as Toph came closer the voices could be heard whispering. Incomprehensible and nobody seemed to hear them except for Toph. Lerista held up his hand, withholding his men from attacking. "A nation that is left unturned is still an enemy, regardless of their current state. Pain, suffering, misery, death....all these encompass the world, its a fact of life. A nation that is left unscarred will be seen as the culprit of it all. Think about it. If I attacked every nation and they figured out that something bigger was going on...who would they blame? An army that nobody has lived to see? Or the nation that has been left untouched?" Lerista sighed as he moved to the side and with a bit of pressure lifted Toph's face by the chin to look at him. "Despite the fact that you are who you are, you still do not see? If they were to overthrow me, then I win regardless." He released Toph's chin and moved back a bit, his eyes looked old. "They will join together to fight me. So either this world will be ruled by me, or they will be united under one cause." He turned his back and looked at the city.

Toph didn't feel nervous upon hearing the whispers. If anything, he was ready. As the words slowly sink in, Toph was beginning to understand. "I.." Lerista lifted his head up so his mask would look him in the eyes. Toph touched Lerista's face once more. Anyone who was used to those who were blind might have guessed it. That or, the young boy liked touching faces. Either way, Toph traced Lerista's facial features with his finger tips. He rest his thumb beside Lerista's eye. "I allowed my childish emotions to overwhelm the brain that has ran an entire kingdom for years.. Just. As. I. Allowed this childish side of me to follow you out of curiosity. Yet. Childish or not, I've learned things a child should never have to endure." His fingertips slowly parted from Lerista's as he stepped back. Toph's fingers slowly closed into a relaxed fist that went back to his side. "You are so cold." It was a bold and open statement. He could have meant Lerista's skin or his heart. Though, Toph meant his skin. He turned and stared at the city as well. "I continue to follow you Lord Lerista.. Cernunnos will take care of Terrae as this path continues.. No one shall know who I am.. but you and those who witnessed it." He shook his head. "I can't tell if you are mad.. or a genius.. I guess the two go hand in hand." He reached over and grabbed Lerista's hand, taking a moment to feel all the emotions and vibrations from the ground. He smiled from beneath his mask. "Least you don't have to be alone again." He rubbed his thumb over Lerista's hand before releasing it. He sighed. "Well, unfortunately.. I'm not undead. Eventually, I'll have to pick up some food and water along the way. We've been through two cities now.. This place is charred.. difficult to scavenge anywhere outside of town. I'll get something on the way to the next city."

Lerista was unused to contact, but didnt break from it. The thought that he could be both genius and insane was amusing to him. Though he had also forgotten that Toph wasnt undead. Fact was unlike his army which required no food, water or even basic function was still in Toph. "I will ensure that the next village we come across, some food and drink are brought to you. Despite my army, I do not plan to turn you." The whispers were louder for a moment but he ignored them. The city was now in chaos as screaming erupted. His plague was in full swing now. Turning all those who had ate or drank into basic zombies. While he would have preferred something stronger, even attrition had its uses. He motioned his hand and his army advanced in squads, going to take down what living they could find.

Toph smiled beneath the mask. "Thank you, Sir. Where next? Lux? Aqua? Nocte?" He watched the zombified people and felt a sudden unease. He turned and went to lean against the closest thing he could find in the lands of Ignis. "When you are ready, we'll head out.." He was starting to feel tired, but he didn't want to be a bother to the undead. He paused for a moment, connecting the dots. "Sir.. how did you.. die?"
(Lux now has a Queen. So it has been added to our list to plunder lol)

Lerista tilted his head as he thought. Nocte wouldnt be too difficult but Lux could pose a difficulty if they had too many holy specialists. "Aqua...we'll do Lux last for obvious reasons." He turned his head to Toph and then back away. "I was as you know an elite soldier of the Terran kingdom...I was sent into Nocte to investigate a few reports of soldiers moving onto a village of Terran. Oh there was an army alright...but it wasnt exactly Nocte's army. It was an undead legion. We clashed and fought hard. But in the end...we were surrounded. Just before we were to die the previous king came forward. I challenged him but was nearly killed in the process." He lifted the whispering sword. "I was the first soul this sword had taken...and fed upon. And from that I became the new ruler. Then I saw the truth for what it is...war is the answer to peace."

Toph listened for the most part. He released a smirking sound before grabbing a hold of Lerista's index finger. Toph's fingers were small, like a child's would be. He gently led Lerista away. "Come on, Franken-King.. you've got a kingdom to plunder." He grew quiet as he walked ahead, pulling Lerista by a finger if allowed. "It still could have been Nocte.. they've been.. under my radar lately.. At one point, they hated the Marked. Now, they are friendly? What game are they playing at..? Well, either way.. let's go.."
[exits to Aqua] ((Oh, we might have followers. The last attack framed Aqua.)) (How do you feel about another bad guy in the mix trying to do his/her own thing possibly screwing with ours? I think it'd be an interesting twist. She was going to be a necromancer until she saw your character. If she's up for it.. she could have been related to the controller of that army years ago that killed Lerista. Sound interesting right? Her own story and villainous goals plus personal vendetta XD )) Reishella (The OOC is directed at you)

Lerista allowed himself to be tugged along, despite the sounds he heard from a few of his generals. He didnt comment on what she said. He remembered the attack so well, but he didnt tell her what happened after he had gotten the sword, but then again maybe it was best if she didnt know. There was a reason his house no longer existed. {exits to Aqua} (Well the attacks were spread so it was made to look that way. And eventually he would be found. But lets see how long they let me idle before they take notice. And I have no prob with it, might make it interesting...I didnt think I was the only villan you know. XD Just one who is attacking without discrimination.))

The ground around the whole town ripped open and Undead poured forth from the ground, the crypts, the graveyards and the homes that Lerista had held them in. The shambling bodies of the previous town folk were abound and in huge mass. They seemed massive in scope and number and not all were rotting, some were whole and wielding wicked looking black weapons. Man, woman and child were terrified as man woman and child attacked them.
