Personality: Leroy is generally aloof and indifferent, though he is not incapable of genuine kindness and a protective demeanor. It is implied that Leroy has excellent control over his emotions, as he was raised by monks for eighteen years. He tends to act in a critical and controlling manner, stemming from a life with no parents, which forced him to take on adult responsibilities at a young age. Leroy has always put the interests of others safety and survival ahead of himself.
Going with his hard edge, Leroy has a wrathful side to him as well, having the capacity to harm anyone who does wrong on his friends and Pokemon. Leroy also has a huge weakness as well. Other than his sister and her firends, Leroy can not talk to girls at all. Talking to girls makes him sound like a babbling buffoon.
Leroy was very dutiful in his job as a chef. As it was one of the best ways to ignore his troubles and see those around him smile as they ate his food.
Bio: One word can describe Leroy's past. Lonely. Since the moment Leroy can remember, the only family member he ever knew was his older sister Rupal. Leroy and Rupal were both born and raised in Blackthorn City, where they lived their lives as monks. They lived at a Temple with many other orphans like themselves. The orphans had a proper Education and were thought Martial Arts at the temple. They were also free to leave the temple whenever they want once they were the age of eighteen. Even though Rupal was six years older than Leroy, she outclassed him in every subject. And when Rupal turned eighteen, she left the temple with two of her friends without saying a word to her younger brother. Leroy hasn't heard from his sister since.
The next six years would of been hell if it weren't for a fateful encounter. Now that Rupal left, Leroy had to work to save up money for the day when he leaves Blackthorn City. He works as a chef at a local restaurant. One day after work, Leroy began to walk back to the temple when he spotted an injured Nidoran getting attacked by a group of Pidgey. Leroy quickly shooed away the group Pidgey and took the Nidoran back with him to the temple? He then spent the next week taking care of the Pokemon and decided to name him Raphael. The monks noticed a bond between the two so they decided to give Leroy a pokeball. Since then, Leroy and Raphael were never separated. Six years have passed and Leroy was now eighteen and ready to leave the temple.
When Leroy left the temple, he decided to explore the Johto region and become a Pokemon Trainer. He first went to the restaurant where he used to work to tell everyone goodbye. Suddenly the owner went up to Leroy and gave him three things. One was a pokeball containing his prized Scyther named Juan, the other was an envelope containing money and a ticket for a ship going to Pallet Town and finally, the last was a flyer. The flyer had a picture of Rupal on it. Leroy's former boss then explained to him that Rupal was now one of the strongest trainers in the Kanto region and that he should finally meet up with her after six long years. He gave him his Scyther because he was getting to old to take care of a restless Pokemon. Leroy teared up as he left the restaurant to make his way to Olivine City, to start his new adventure in Kanto.
